Just FYI, you'd ideally mask off the pulley faces, when you're spraying lube, use a dry lube (Spray moly lube seems to be good), and cover not only the rollers, but also the inside of the bell/cover, as that's what the rollers rides on, and on the shaft where the moving sheave slides. You do NOT want ANY lube, where the belt rides. That's a bad day.
@@JeffIsaac everything is brand new I turned the idle all the way down I made sure the backs are lined up and it still takes off I'm thinking maybe I should buy screws and weights to adjust it but I don't know where to get them
@@burtonexoticbullies.2313 I don't have a ton of experience with FL250s, but I do know that they will start to drive at idle, so I have always been told to have my hand on the brake when idling.
@@burtonexoticbullies.2313 Is your belt *tight* when the engine is off? It shouldn't be. If the belt is just barely loose, then either you need lighter weights or stronger springs
Kind of unrelated, but do you know how the clutch attaches to the shaft? I got a frame and parts and am trying to swap in a GX390 and I'm having trouble figuring out how to attach it. Thanks
Was wondering how to tension the springs! Thanks!
Glad it helped!

Great video i just brought one and it makes my golf take off without me how can i stop it from engaging at idle?
Thank you! It sounds like the springs may be worn or broken, idle is too high, or the belt might be out of adjustment?

Do you know where i can buy new rollers for that clutch ?
Unfortunately, I do not.
Try oddatv.com or eBay. There's currently a kit on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/372136603206

To the crank shaft? It's a tapered shaft, so the clutch and crank have to have matching tapers for an interference fit.
