Just found these vids and they're great. And since I'm from the future and know he now owns the company its even more exciting. These planes are just going to get better and better.
Currently they can’t be used for any direct hire scenarios. There are way they could be used within guide services and such. Some rules may be changing on a few of these topics in the next year.
Thanks for all the information. Did you have to raise the bottom threshold of the front entrances to make sure the seaplane doors would clear the struts when opening? It looks like both Nev and Rob raised their thresholds to clear on the model b 4-place.
Not the same wing entirely. But very similar. All the Bearhawk’s share a common airfoil and wing dimensions. However the thickness of material and skins are different to address the different weights.

it is cool that Irwin appreciates the advantages of CF and has become an expert.
Hopefully he will incorporate these to the kits
Thanks Virgil for going into details!

@@The-virg Thank you greatly!

No the doors clear on the model fives.
Thanks I recall reading that on the forum but it's great to see it in action and thanks for continuing to make these videos.
Looks great! How far did you extend the rear door pivot and did you cut off the factory one and fabricate your own?
I cut off part of the old one and moved the hinge forward 3/4in and out 1 in.
How much did it cost
How can they use the same wing as the 4 place on a 3000lbs gross weight airplane?
Not the same wing entirely. But very similar. All the Bearhawk’s share a common airfoil and wing dimensions. However the thickness of material and skins are different to address the different weights.
@@The-virg so it's not the same wing as they say...
