I've been waiting for this review. I've loved this figure from the first time they announced it. I also don't have any type of attachment to the character, but like Anthony said, this is the kind of reasons I collect action figures. It's so eye catching. I skipped the whole wave and got the BAF on the secondary market. Really solid BAF and it's nice to see Hasbro's trying different things
Looks like a character from Spiderwick Chronicles. Would look good on my creature shelf. I would try matting the glossy arms, add shading to match the rest on the body and drybrushing to highlight the moulded arm hair.
So much detail used on an underrated character which is fine, but it upsets me that my favorite Marvel characters, I'm looking at you Magneto (3pk) , didn't get as much love as Sugar Man did.
I'm happy for AoA fans getting the figures they've been waiting for but I personally find this wave to be so aeasthetically abhorrent it's the first wave in a long time that I'm skipping entirely
Ladchad 35 The frustrating thing is Hasbro has the capability to make amazing figures. They make some of the best head sculpts when they want to. I’ve been floored by some mcu legends and black series heads that smoked the imports. We have seen the can do the articulation, look at the new joes. Hasbro can sculpt and do anatomy proper when they want. Paint and accessories are just a matter of cost. The new retro Spider-Man looks amazing, imagine how better it would be if it was at a premium price point. I think Hasbro could destroy imports it if they did a legends adjacent premium line at $40-50.
@@adamproctor9061 aren't marvel legends a blend of figures for collector and kid, 40 dollars is pretty high for a figure then again the premium could be for collectors
@@elone4567 They say are, but I don't know if that's reality. I'm the only parent that I know that buys them for their kids. Anecdotal evidence, I know. There may be a sizable teen collector audience. My gut tells me the line is primarily teen and adult collectors. I don't think they should abandon legends, just make a sister line that's premium quality and price. Why let mafex and figuarts take most of that pie.
I'm personally annoyed that this is so awesome. I can't justify it... at all. But it does remind me that the MCU completist in me accepted both a BAF Okoye and a BAF Mantis.
I’m missing your Jean Grey review from this wave. I want it so bad, because I wanna know your opinion about the head, the gap in the neck and the shoulders/armpits issue Hahaha! Thanks for this, great review as always!
Got no real attachment to this character but it looks so odd, weirdly captivating and interesting as an action figure, might pick this up in the future!
This is the first time ever seeing Sugar Man after hearing so much about this series. Does not look how i expected him to. I was expecting a huggy bear looking character from starsky and hutch.
I wish he had one more gripping hand and an axe accessory to go with his hammer. Hasbro forgot to add the Sugar over the heart tattoo on his lower left shoulder.
Hasbro will never be as great as Toybiz, as far as lots of paint and crazy sculptwork goes. But they have gotten WAY better than when they first got the license. Just compare the new upcoming Emma Frost to the original.
@@AnthonysCustoms just watched that review and ita like 2 different lines, i wonder if its because it was before the whole inflation etc… also the plastic quality on the new waves are trash
AnthonysCustoms I thought you said you didn’t know who SugarMan was ??? But .,,,, I was watching while headed to work. So, I might have missed heard 🤣🤣🤣
I’m pretty annoyed that Hasbro and Marvel used my likeness without consulting me, even if the figure is nice.
FadeToBlackBolt You should definitely involve lawyers into this. They can’t do this without your consent.
Wait did you actually come up with this concept design?
Chris Bachalo designed the character. Looks great!
Reminds me of angry joe lmao
It’s the hair and eyebrows lol
Exactly what I thought LOL
I was just about to comment something similar to this LMAO!!!!
This is definitely the product of a monster from a bad acid trip
There’s no such thing as a bad acid trip
@@astropunch101 take a bunch and go to the police station. not fun
Totally could be a ghost (monster) from The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series.

That’s an awesome looking figure. I really enjoy watching your videos. Hello from Japan 🇯🇵
Same.

One thing this figure proves to me is that a street sharks line is viable in the modern age (of apocalypse)
He straight up looks like a monster design you’d see in Real Ghostbusters

The sunfire fig was amazing
Was that character designed by Syd from Toy Story?
Is it me or the cloth he wear looks kinda similar to Duke nukem
Yeah
Damn that godamn alien bastard took my fit..
His was created by Chris Bachalo
Also great review this figure looks badass
after I’m done with hulk I’m going to do this wave
I love this build a figure! And yes I know his story! Very good
I love the character, I love the character design and the love the BAF. Thanks for the review Anthony.
he belongs to _ripley's believe it or not_ collection
Proof that Hasbro has the ability to make good figures and not just half assed figures.
Notice how most of this wave does not have any accessories

He looks more like a Spawn character than anything tbh lmao
I agree

This guy looks so 90s I love it.

One of the best indeed.
I want him. I got the hammer recently
Looks like an even more mutated street shark
Btw, he first appeared in generation next #2
No clue who this dude is but the figure is really dope! Great review!
What if?!: Big Ed ate a monster cell
Hi Anthony really like your videos and reviews keep up the good work...
Pure nightmare fuel.
Watching an anthonyscustoms review when the figure is good... Noice
Ok this is gonna be fun
This is the first time ever seeing Sugar Man after hearing so much about this series. Does not look how i expected him to. I was expecting a huggy bear looking character from starsky and hutch.
I saw all the figures at Wal-Mart
I wish he had one more gripping hand and an axe accessory to go with his hammer. Hasbro forgot to add the Sugar over the heart tattoo on his lower left shoulder.
How gorgeous
Talking about sugar man of course
Awesome review!!! When is the next munchpak or unboxing?🙌🙌🙌🔔🔔🔔🔔
Four arms...forearms....ah I see what you did there.....
Now this...
IS an Avengers level threat
He needs his own cinamatic franchise
FACTS
Looks like big Ed from 90 day fiance lmao
Creators: Chris Bachalo, Scott Lobdell
Says wiki, not Todd

I still grabbing this figure and im amazed how good this is and than i see Bonebreaker... dont get me wrong its not bad but this is amazing!
You're right bone breaker is bad lol

Inflation is just an excuse. Their profits have gone up...
@@AnthonysCustoms yes that's true.
Can you swap feet to put on the Eddie Brock monster Venom.
Why not this effort on character that actually matter?
this character do actually matter
Don’t hate on my boi!!
can't believe they made a sugar man
I don't know what to say anymore for this.
Anthonyscustom, the hand are not supposed to be hairy, those are actually his skin
Anyone else see the Billy Dee Williams resemblance? It's mostly his 'stache. :P
Killed it
I honestly thought it was a TMNT character
reminds me of ed boon
Bro this is something out of spawn
Is it my imagination or does sugar man look like angry Joe
I’m not much of a marvel fan but this guy looks creepyyy
Она божественна, как и модок от хасбро
Bro i thought this was a Spawn character wtf
First time I’ve ever been disappointed in Anthony.... for not knowing the Age Of Apocalypse 😭
... What?
AnthonysCustoms I thought you said you didn’t know who SugarMan was ??? But .,,,, I was watching while headed to work. So, I might have missed heard 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah. I did say that. I know about AoA though. Just not every character.
AnthonysCustoms 🙌🏽
If toy story was real...
damn. he reminds me of Spider Bytes from Ninja Turtles
Weird character. In a good way. But sculpted hair arms i rather they paint it or non at all.
You know Hasbro is doing something wrong when this ugly mfer is more appealing and aesthetically pleasing than most of their figures, lmao.
God i hate this..... it makes me so uncomfortable😂😂😂😂
Second
Ugly character but nice figure in my opinion
No one's gonna act like like this didn't come out in 2 in the morning ok cool
Always, always at 2 am for me, US Central time
