Alina's speed, Vika's musical phrasing. I stay with Vika's because she seems in total control of what she's doing, so in sync with the music, as if the music itself emanates from inside her body. Alina tends to be unable to keep that supporting leg en dehors, but i do have to say her improvement since her early years in Kirov to this video recording and to today's performances is astounding.
i love both! different kind of fouettes, Samova direct to the second and Tirioshkina with rond de jambee, but i prefer Viktoria, she is so graceful and has that air of prima ballerina. just my opinion. Thanks for share!
Both are top notch ballerinas of today with exceptional athletisism and speed in their length. But my ultimate fouettes mistress is Viktoria. I can hear the music from her entire body, even her ronds de jambe en l'air exude the phrasing of this iconic composition. that's so hypnotic an experience!
