- The Berlin School of Electronic Music is a genre that emerged in the 1970s in West Berlin, characterized by its use of synthesizers and sequencers to create atmospheric, often ambient soundscapes. It features repetitive sequences, evolving textures, and a focus on creating a meditative or hypnotic listening experience, often without traditional percussion. This style significantly influenced ambient music and has seen various revivals and influences in electronic music culture.
In 1974 the Cosmic Synth Babes performed Live at Pompeii to record a Berlin School Synthesizer Jam Session.
Here is some background information about the electronic music band “Cosmic Synth Babes”:
The Cosmic Synth Babes got together in 1970 and started experimenting with organs and tape echoes, creating their first ambient space music soundscapes.
Their first album was such a huge success that they were able to purchase a massive Moog Modular Synthesizer. They retreated into the studio and started experimenting with sequencer patterns, dense Mellotron, and string synth chord progressions, which resulted in another huge album success.
That was followed by several concert tours which brought massive Moog and ARP modular synth systems to the stage. The audience had never seen or heard anything even remotely comparable before. Success and money flowed in, which allowed the group to purchase even more sophisticated equipment.
By 1979, they had acquired a huge array of new polyphonic synthesizers and sequencers, which pushed their sound into new musical territories.

👍And me, I need a perfect collaborator in the studio... 🙄 Subscribed...!

Thank you so much for your support! I am glad that you seem to get the message behind my videos: looking at another electronic music history despite all the current AI shortcomings ;-) Thrilled you are here! Have a good day!
Tell this AI: A Keyboard has repeating 12 black and white keys in a very simple order.
Of course it's AI. The various models still have difficulties recreating genuine classic Synths and Keyboards. Even when using reference images.
10 + 9 = 18. I can confirm that 10 + 9 is indeed 18.
Me: AI, learn this: white, black, white, black, white, white, black, white, black, white, black, white - repeat from start. AI: black and white random
@robertbrown3413 Please show me the way into your reality...I want to learn new physics as well ;-)
@ The machine said it, must be right!
Fabulous!!
Thank you very much 🙏 Glad you enjoyed the video.
When one finger of any girl looks like it's walking off by itself, as in "lend a hand, thing" from Addams family, LOL, that's when I know it was done by AI!
There are still shortcomings with the various AI models. They have problems with fingers and moving fingers in general, tears rolling down the cheeks, and the recreation of classic Synths and keyboards even when using reference images. Just naming a few of the AI shortcomings. But what's the use of waiting before something is perfect when you can already have a great time and fun using the new emerging technology. Thanks for watching!
@@SoulgateMusic This is not a shortcoming. It's great fun to pick the funny little "what's wrong with this picture" puzzles while listening to such great synth music. Did one of the girls have 6 fingers for a moment? More Please!
@@goldcoastj Wow, thank you for that appreciative comment. I was using an image creator which gets the fingers in still images right. But when I animate these still images in a Video generator the fingers are occasionally morphing into something weird. Give it another year and all AI video generators will have fixed the finger issue. I am very glad the music. I am currently working on a full "album" with 1975/76 Berlin School Synth vibes. Stay tuned! Thank you for watching and listening!
👍👍👍☕☕☕
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed this little video. Have a great day!
AI....
Of course it's AI, otherwise it would not be possible to create parallel universes ;-)
So the AI doesn't agree with the traditional keyboard layout of a fixed pattern of white and black keys?
Various AI models mess up different things. Some models even merge bodies although other instructed otherwise...they are also still on a learning curve like we humans 😉
The AI is hallucinating.
@ LOL 🤣AI's still got its kinks-we're talking finger fumbles, tear torrents, and synths that look like they're from another planet, even with the best refs! But why hold out for perfection when you can jump right into the fun with this zany new tech? Cheers for checking it out!
Welcome to the machine.....
Right on...the pull of the future in a parallel universe...
AI might not be much of a keyboardist yet. but definitely knows something about beauty.
Well, I couldn't say it any better ;-) and AI definitely knows something about classic old school beauty: no tattoos ;-)
@@SoulgateMusic amen
tell this neural network that when you press a key with your finger, it should move down!
Believe me, I have been telling the neural network over and over again to pay utmost attention to the fingers. But to no avail! It seems to pay more attention to beautiful faces ;-) Thanks for watching!
unless they hired models who couldn't play!
So no Pink Floyd.
There's no claim in the video or description to be like Pink Floyd. A virtual band from an alternate timeline playing Berlin School Electronic Music live at Pompeii....
Made with AI ... look at the fingers, black keys, and eyes ... instruments and places !
Of course it's AI, otherwise it would be impossible to create and construct parallel universes ;-) But I agree with you, moving fingers in general are still a challenge, same for tears rolling down the cheeks, and the AI gods still seem to have some difficulties recreating classic Synths even with reference images...Many thanks for watching!
AI 😂 Pompej was closed at this time because of damaged electric power cables.
...Pompeii was not closed in a parallel universe 😉no power cables were required
@SoulgateMusic but nice, what's possible in times like this....
@SoulgateMusic ..by the way...I live in Berlin and I never seen this girls😅
it' s a shame synths looks so fake and girls are completly disconnected from the music
AI models are still a bit quirky! They've got a knack for turning fingers into a tangled mess, tears into waterfalls, and classic synths into, well, something else entirely-even with reference images! But hey, who needs perfection when you can dive into the fun and games of this wild, wonderful tech right now? Thanks for tuning in!
Musique pas mal, images inutiles
Glad you enjoyed the music. Thanks a lot for listening!
Stil can't get the hand right. Eerie and nasty.
...there are still a few shortcomings in AI, among them hand and finger motion. But that doesn't stop me from using it before it is perfect. 😉
AI bullshit.
Thanks anyway for watching and may your heart always feel the joy of freedom!
Lame AI video
Thanks anyway for watching!
OMG - what a fake!
This is, what AI shoudn't used for. ☹💩
Every user can decide what he/she is using AI for. Everybody is entitled to his/her own personal opinion. May your heart always feel the joy of freedom!
@@SoulgateMusic
Of cours you can. But I think, that musicial art is something, that shoud exclusively reserved for real humans.
I mean this in the uinit to preserve our capacity to be creative.
Not everything that cou be automated should be automated.
By the way: The keyboards have a wrong layout. Anf the virtual ladies don't press the keys like real keyboarders do.
@@bmuxbeats Yes, exactly that's your personal opinion and preference and that's totally cool. There was a time when DJ ing was not considered to be creative in any way. Just playing music of others. And see how this field has developed over the last 30 years. There are still shortcomings with the various AI models. They have problems with fingers, tears rolling down the cheeks, and the recreation of classic Synths and keyboards even when using reference images. It's a developing technology. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
AI generated bullshit
May you heart always feel the joy of freedom!
