Stego is stupid strong. It's why I'm always so annoyed when they cower in the mud. They've got all the time in the world to bait a proper swing and kill a solo raptor

I failed to save a bunch of footage from my most recent full growth Deino.... Felt bad. I was hoping to send it to you. Commentary in this documentary style really suits the immersion/roleplay play styles of what I'm sure is a good handful of the player base , as with myself.

@@dinometta I could write an entire novella about my journeys with the isle entirely. I have a good memory. This last one is another crazy story. I'm in the southwest River on a highly populated server. To be there now.... I had been there , twice before... both these lives I fought and killed 2 crocs. In the second most recent, I was after a third that had shown up , and I fell of a cliff when he chilled right at the edge. I wanted to be cautious but alas. Greed. Stupidity. In a heart wrenching rage I sprinted straight back so mad that I had only one more croc in that river to remove and I threw myself off a ledge!!!. I barely made it due to starvation. One elite fish was I'm the upper reservoir under the bridge which is rare. Without it.... I'd have wasted another 40 minutes .... but I was saved. And get this. I go slithering back to see if my body was still there, 1hr and 10 minutes later and guess what.... my spine was there and beside me another deino spine. The one I was baited by... had fallen or been ambushed. And thusly... I have my river. 5 days now. It is mine alone. I still sweat like crazy every log in but so far.. determination has paid off. :)

To be perfectly honest, Solo Raptor is probably my preferred way to play Isle. One has to be sneaky, alert at all times, and forever on the move in order to survive as a lone baby raptor. You can't ever trust other dinos, but you can sure as heck use their proximity to your advantage. Back on Spiro, I remember finding an adult Stego out on the western plains. And I'd use them as a deterrent for any ceras or carnos that decided I was an easy meal... needless to say, I was a nightmare to pin down by any group of dinos, even if I never got many kills

Amazing narration! was a fun watch and you are skilled. Intresting to know you can find smoll potatos in the swamp bushes tho. I somehow didnt even think of checking those and end up hunting the big ones without any results. i think a sub stego is a perfect prey item in both "danger to you, and reward in nutrients" and due to their size u can take way more advantage of their missed swings since you dont have to orbit so far around them and can get closer to punish accurately(headshots).

As a trooodon player i feel your suffering - boars are mini bosses and its rare to see other troodons to actually hunt anything. When we are hunting pouncing can be very buggy and they will somehow turn and hit while your in the pounce animation. xD That or sometimes i'll pounce a boar and then when i hop off it'll throw me under the map :c
Yeah, I honestly refuse to touch troodon for this exact reason. It's just literal pain even moreso than solo omni. And with pounce latency being a thing again it's just not worth the hour wasted to get one shot for landing a pounce

Good luck finding dilos anywhere but East at the time I recorded this video xD Carnos and stegos were the most common things around the southern side of the map, and since I'm a heavy East denier, I'd rather fight stegos solo all day than go to such a cess pool as the east hotspot to find things that are easier to fight alone

@@dinometta yes I’ve got a solo raptor on the go atm, it’s so hard to find a pack lately.
@@dbulmer70 right? I found 7 the other day, but it didn't last. They decided to fight a herd of 4 tenos and 5 stegos. Then two ceratos that started mixpacking with the tenos. Only 3 survived(myself included because I chose to not get involved until the herbivores left and just the ceratos remained)
Being bitten when you're clearly already on the side of the dino IS THE MOST ANNOYING FKING BUG, It's so bullshit that the Devs just let bugs like that go for MONTHS ON END. So fkn frustrating omfg. OR when you dismount the pounce and SOMEHOW FALL THROUGH THE FKN MAP AND DIE.
Agreed. I'm so tired of this bug in particular. It makes pouncing stegos, ceratos and carnos basically pointless because not only do you lose a ton of stamina, but you take a ton of damage or straight die.
@@dinometta Very challenging, but man I'm so addicted to the fight scene in this game, and only on official servers when everything is on the line. Every decision you make is life or death, every thought going through your head, every time you drink water the anxiety coursing through your veins. That struggle for survival.

Yeah, I usually play Omni in a duo and before that always played in a pack if I could find one. It has been a long time since I've run solo!
I always play solo ;-; (like 9/10 times, exception being when I get nested or rarley find a nice group)
I'm solo more often than not these days :[ You learn to manage eventually

Bruh, as a steg main (i like defence playstyle plus my pc is a potato so fast builds like omni are a bit more bugy for me) when I see a camping stego, especialy against a solo player, I'm always suddenly filled with an urge to go cani. Like why would you do that, you are already a boss fight without the camping... have some decency
Anyways, I apologize for my little rant, I really enjoyed the video, it's amazing and one can see just how skilled you are [: (and the narration was the delicious cherry on top)
Camping stegos are the bane of my existence! It's one thing to take a defensive position against a pack. Especially considering 3 raptors pouncing at once can drain a stego's stamina in seconds. But against one single omni? That's just silly.

I’m playing a Omni now, have the attack animations changed? My default left click attack does a lunging bite with hands and fingers splayed, it takes some stamina and looks exactly like the alt-bite, or maybe the alt-bite looks exactly like it?
Any thoughts?

as a solo Troodon, I am not as aggressive (perhaps due to the size difference) but I think people really leave out the small carni niche a little bit too much
Solo troodon is an even bigger challenge. You've gotta be incredibly patient and time every attack perfectly or you're dead. And even then latency is stinky sometimes.
I've gotten an adult stego to wall camp against my sub troo before though. But that's not a huge feat considering how cowardly stego players tend to react when attacked xD

This is why omni go that grapple mechanic because no way a baby stego is taking that many hits from a omni a sub isn't either at least on that small narration is nice and overall I like your videos. but th ilse and most dinosaur survival games are so God owfuly unrealistic
