- After my previous center challenge video, a viewer challenged me to do it again, but as a deinosuchus. I've played a lot of hours on Evrima. But I've never been so frustrated and ready to ragequit in my life.

This center now without a master seems to Metta neither sterile nor fertile. Each atom of that deino, each rotting corpse of the past fill a speedhackers meal, now forms a world. The struggle itself to the adult deino is enough to fill a isle player heart. One must imagine Metta happy.

I legit almost cried. He was so bad too. I fought him 3 times and he only won in the end because he kept running away when he'd get low

Biggest red flag is when there's _that_ many dinos dead on what looks to be one survivor. Of course he killed those deinos and the cerato, there was basically nothing they could do to stop him.

The hacking plague is why I only play on select unofficial servers, where hackers get insta-banned when discovered. By contrast, the official servers are a joke and the devs have their heads in the sand, pretending the problem does not exist.

Screw hackers. Those are the types of people that are so bored with their lives that they have to cheat and ruin other peoples' fun to get entertainment. I hope that person was found and permanently banned from the isle.

The worst thing about speed hackers is they can increase their speed a small amount, maybe 10%, that way they have a huge advantage, but can get away with cheating.

@@dinometta yeah I knew there was a cliff but for some reason I went down it anyways suspecting the drop to be survival and not as bad-Nope.Definitely not.
as a deino main, the biggest mistake you keep making is not knowing how fast other deino's are and because of that wasting your stamina unnecessarily....at one point an adult deino was chasing you on land and you decided to burn all of your stamina and get back in the water giving you 0 chance to escape....just keep walking. Not only does your stamina regen faster, his also drains faster. he is NEVER catching you
Thanks for the tips! I don't play deino very often, and when I do I usually avoid populated areas in general, so having to deal with others closely was an entirely new experience
Holly shit that first deino that killed you was the damn smart, never thought of using grab to drain baby deinos stamina so they can't run away before!
Yeah he knew what he was doing! That way he wasn't fully out of stam and could flee himself if a larger one came along soon after!

I would love to play on unofficials. But all of the populated ones are EU based. The only NA based populated servers are free grows servers

I feel your pain i had a 52% grown deino and i went to center. Instantly got attacked by 2 smaller deinos i was to scared id lose my deino and ran- Didnt make it far. Nearly cried that day- ( Ive never grown a deino beyond that percent.)

I don't mind the cannablism gameplay for Deino either, its coul BUT I hated how some Deino players went about getting their cannibalistic food.
Befriending smaller ones who think they got lucky and for a few minutes you are part of this cool group and then suddenly you get stuck by a coward xD.
And it wouldn't be so bad either if it wasn't for the enormous amount of time it takes to get to adulthood... They should trim that time down by half at a minimum so you can get to your adult version within an hour or 2 and a half, something reasonable... But growing to adult size after having died 2-3 times, only to spend a fraction of that time you already played as an adult, is just punishing. It's almost more rewarding to play smaller dinosaurs because they get to adult faster, are harder to catch and hide better. But play as any of the big strong animals and you are mostly shit out of luck...
Yeah friendly fakers are my least favorite type of players. It's part of the reason I play solo so often. I just feel safer alone if I can't join up with people I trust.
@@dinometta The solo experience can be far more rewarding as it can be a bullet to bite. I've had times going solo wanting to group up, after some time finding another juvi or 2, and that eventuality has led to my death several times where some hunter or aggro herbivore ends up picking me out from a group of 2 or 3. And I'm like wtf.
It's also the way some of those people play that nerves me when going in a group. I personally take a lot of care in being silent, so I hardly chat at all. I don't like mindlessly vocalizing. When I enter an area as a predator I want that entire area to remain unaware I am there. Other people are less careful or less patient or they like to chat a lot. They jump and hoot around like they forgot the dangers... I loved legacy realism servers... Seeing things that break the realism just nerves me too. When I got like one of my first carnotaurus to adult in EVRIMA a few months back, I was protecting some juvi's I had found, we chased a utah for a bit... He/ she ran off and I was like, that was that, I hide in some bush in that area and suddenly after a short while, this Pachy runs in and headbuts me, breaking my head, I was doomed and with the Pachy was that raptor that had ran off... Went to get a buddy of his. Totally different species. EVRIMA has some great potential, and it is funny, the maps are designed to be smaller, and yet, most of it is unvisited unihabitable land because their is nothing to sustain players. Legacy's latest map, despite its flaws and yes, poor graphics, was huge and you just had to get lost in the wilderness of a savage land... Evrima is a little different than that thanks to the single river system being the dominant feature over the entire map. Even though it branches it is a single ecosystem... Legacy still had lakes and swamp areas or areas with geisers and tiny pools. A lot of dead land in between the many zones that had lakes so you could always go somewhere. That it also had massive rivers, massive valley's hills, mountains and a huge canyon that leads into a swampy area. I am sorry for the huge comment, I could keep going about this beautiful wreck of a game that is in my top of best games I ever played...
I don't like the cannibalism, personally. 90% of deinos are cannibals, and the justification used (as opposed to ex. Omni or Cerato) is "well, alligators are cannibals irl."
Problem with that is, they're only cannibals rarely, and most instances are scavenging already-dead gators. Mostly they're fairly social, protect the young of other gators, etc. On farms they live in huge groups without issue.
I can get cannibalizing when absolutely starving but it seems to be the go-to for Deino players and it's honestly just not fun. If there's larger Deinos you are GOING to die, especially now that juvi speed has been nerfed to hell. The worst part is growing almost to adulthood and having an adult *log in* nearby... RIP.
I don't understand the hackers are even playing at this point, wheres the fun in cheating?
That's what I'd like to know. Of all the games they could hack on, why a dinosaur game where you gain literally nothing and lose literally everything when all is said and done?

Yes I agree. I was pretty sure that one was also speed hacking, but I couldn't be 100% sure so I didn't highlight it beyond the death itself.

If youre underwater, you can talk in chat without being heard or seen. Its like the ONLY time i chat. Ill literally hide in the water and ask if theyre friendly.
By the way, i found swamp is the safest spot for deino to grow. Plenty of space to hide, though not much threat there to begin with, as not much prey, but...plenty of fish to at least survive and grow safely to adult size. Ill usualy head to the river at about 60% growth.

I absolutely HATE center on the NA servers. There's always so much toxicity there between the KOS players, body campers and a near constant supply of hackers. I hate it.
That said, the East river, North of The Cut is usually pretty chill and fun to grow a Deino, but the Swamp is my favourite place to grow a Dieno. Swamp Gator is Best Gator!

Not gonna lie, for a minute I thought the gator at 5:50 was me. I remember being so bored of being an adult croc that I chased someone onto shore in that exact spot. But, unlike the video, the gator that I chased never turned. He fled inland, so I crawled after him. Long past the point of no return, he died, and then I ate him....and died.

Yeah they've been really bad lately. I did rage quit for a bit, went and played on a free admin server for a while instead
@@dinometta Understandable. That's one reason I'm not really playing on officials. The bigger reason is the ping. Today I tried playing on one and had the worst ping spikes with them going up from 120 (which is already high, especially for being an EU server and me well... Living in the EU) to over 300. Got killed by a Utah that pounced me 10 meters away from where I was. I swear to god I love this game, but I hate it so badly.

I just got 1 hit as a massive full grown croc by a baby croc. Twice in the one day on the same server. Now that's scummy
I thankfully haven't run into the damage hackers yet, but I've seen clips and heard the tales. I'm honestly so frustrated that it's so easy for them to exploit the game that way. I can't understand how cheating like that can even be fun

Can confirm this. Found carnies on every server. EU5 for example had a team of 2-3 adult crocs swimming up the whole river from center to NW spawning points in Order to kill every croc on Site and feed on them consistently…no Talk, no warning, no prisoners…often 2,5-3h for shit if your unlucky. Encountered them on most of the Servers, but there are friendly ones as Well of course 😊

Oh man, it's very rare to see a hacker that actually understands how to play the game. Even tho they were hacking they played that fight very well. Very unfortunate.
I mean, they knew how to play, but if they hadn't been hacking, they lost that fight twice over. He had to run away. If he'd been at normal speed, I would have been able to kill him.
Either way, yeah, extremely unfortunate.
@@dinometta You definitely won the first encounter easy if they didn't have hacks. I just couldn't believe that a hacker knew to run away, abuse deino's fast healing (could also have speed healing hacks most likely), then come back and basically Legacy ride you at the end.
Isn't it such an amazing thing that the developers don't allow you to see players steam IDs in the game so you have literally no way to report this cheater

Yeah but it's understandable. The creators of this game didn't make it a enjoyable game what gets a big community. First of they should have made that way that canibalism wasn't possible. Stamnia is fast gone as adult and takes to long to recharge. Second there is not enough A.I. many times. Who wants to waste hours just to get full grown and then starve cause no matter where you search there is no food.
Deino is extremely ez to grow at center. Just get diet then afk grow. Only leave cover when u get hungry and just snack on fresh spawn deinos.
The rules of the challenge kept me within a very small, mostly coverless area, and in the water rather than on land.
In a normal world, yes, that's what I do every time I grow one. But for the challenge things are different than normal.
For the most part, I did fine as long as I was hiding in my one covered area. Going out for more food was when I'd run into the most trouble

I lost my fg stego today because of a deino speedhacker. i was near the big dome in south chilling at a tree in the middle of the forest and he came at me like a rhino with rabies. i could only hit him 2 times before i was dead. normal deinos dont kill a fg stego in 2 hits

The lighting is weird this update. Not really sure why but Dawn and dusk are both dark as heck. Only time it's truly bright is at mid day

Years ago, I downloaded Reshade for the Isle Legacy and realized the insane amount of cheaters that could see me in the dark, unstall, and never again...
Only cheating is that you see the true state of the game; reshade cheaters are everywhere...
COOP online is fine, but any PVP game gets ruined by cheaters...
That one dieno wasn't no pro, that was a hacker. No dieno is that fast to swim away.

There are no sanctions on cheat users on the game's official Discord, and if regular users tell me to ban cheat users, I'll be kicked out of the Discord server. The developer is also very stupid

Deinos being cannibals isn't a problem. Some deino players using cannibalism as an excuse to be toxic is the problem. New players are turned away by things like fg deinos killing fresh spawns (deino and other dinos alike) that don't even give them enough food to make up for the stamina they spent killing them. The number of times I've spawned in as a tiny not even snack sized deino only to immediately be killed by a bigger crock, and then watching my body left to rot. I don't mind being eaten, but I do mind being killed for the sake of senseless killing. I remember one time spawning in as a beipi. I smelled meat on the shore and went closer out of curiosity. The shore was littered with dead baby crocs, just left there. And of course a few seconds later I got jumped by a big croc, killed me in one bite, and like the others my body was left to rot.
Is it against the rules on official servers to play that way? No. Does that make you an upstanding person for doing it? Also no.

@@dinometta At the peak of Isla Spiro, I had 4 steam accounts, all with The Isle. I had 4 dinos of various species, on a few servers we played on. When I died, I'd just come right back lmao. Pachy and Carno were the most common I played. What did you mostly play back then? Some may hate on my methods, but I was having a blast.

Honestly it depends how you played. The rules I laid out for myself are what made it more difficult. If you group up with other gators and what not, it's not nearly as difficult

I got killed on an official too, i defended myself against a cera and killed it, as a teno but then two about 50% Stegos came and one of them kept chasing me, speedhacking of course and caught up to me in a forest and killed me, like wtf i ran as full grown teno with about 80% stam and he still caught up to me, i hate cheaters, i really feel u as u died to that hacker
Yup, I was on NA2. The hackers have really come out in force lately. Up until this month I'd only ever seen a couple, and they were only using esp. Now you can't get online without facing speed hackers in droves
@dinometta that's because the devs don't care about this game and don't have a player list with steam ID so these people can be reported. It's almost as if they are the ones making the hacks and selling them
People who cheat and hack are always inferior players. Same as mixpackers. I've never run into a good mixpacking group that was good at the game. That's the reason they have to mix to try to give them a leg up to compensate for them being bad at the game.
Hard agree. Every speed hacker and most mix packers I've run into are terrible at the game.
I think the game would be more disgusting if Rex dinosaurs released it later with this state of the game
