My problem with this game is that herbis feel the need to be "heroes" and butt into fights. I understand herbis in real life kill and sometimes for no reason; but these are humans looking to pick fights.
I know! I've run with a lot of very chill tenos! Someone must have spit in their cereal while I was running cerato x] Thank you though! I'm glad you enjoyed!
i understand herbis having to be able to look after themselves, but revenge killing, actively hunting baby carnivores and even adult ones? that's not fun that's just being an ass
I feel like people only point out things they dislike if the content creator theyre watching agrees and points it out, for example the overaggro tenos, if there was a video on teno fight compilations most fights that were a 2v2 would either have the herbi side killing the carnis 1 by 1 (not letting the solo eat their fallen comrade) or killing the carnivore even though it had got its kill, such as a herbis packmate. Same goes for carnivores, alot of times they will kill more than 1 creature even though they had enough food, of course these examples arent exactly accurate or 100% what happens but hope you get the point, and tbh I wish everyone played like this instead of just killing everything and getting mad at kos or whatever or, on vice versa making fun of others for explaining why they hate baby killers (which happened in PoT’s discord general chat recently, I hated looking at the messages lol)
I mean, overall people are going to play the game how they want to play. There will always be hyper aggressive players, there will always be friendly players as well. Some days it feels like one or the other happens more often. My poor cerato just kept running into the aggressive tenos. But when I played teno in my previous video I only came across one bloodthirsty teno and I didn't include them because I didn't get involved in their "hunt" It's why I enjoy the isle though, every day is a different experience. I never know what mixed bag of players in gonna get
@@dinometta true, I guess that makes sense. However the main reason I made this comment was because idk if its just my luck or what or maybe just not playing the game much myself lol but from my experience most hunts would have to become a slaughter for either party to win due to not trusting eachother to stop the engagement 🤣 HOWEVER I say that lol I have some carno content on my channel of just pure gameplay and there were actually some very chill teno players, if I left them alone they pretty much ignored me 🤣 love seeing those players
@@dtbrex08 I've had a few hunts where they've backed off and allowed me my hard earned meal. And a lot where they don't xD It just depends on who you face. I do find that when I'm just looking for food, making the kill and then running away out of sight sometimes results in a better disengagement. Slightly higher risk of someone else eating my food, but usually settles the herd better
People need to stop being so butt hurt about dying in an animal survival game. Like yeah you can be angry at player who’s here simply for a blood bath but being angry at someone who was just hungry is both asinine and pig headed.
Agreed. I don't mind dying, it's part of the game. But dying because I hunted something successfully and the herd has a problem with the circle of life? That stings.
@@lemuelpierre2808 To an extent, yes. Though teno relies on stam for every attack except its bite, so if it gets nerfed too much, they'll really struggle
Metta, do you have any idea when they are gonna (probably) buff the stamina system? Its really unbearable for me... 😫 Its been 3 weeks (probably?) since i last playing the isle, been playing Path of Titans in the time being. I don't really like those janky combat of PoT though, but at least it still better than playing the Isle for right now 😣
Honestly, I doubt they'll buff it any time soon. It takes some getting used to, but I have honestly found it adds an entirely new level to combat and survival. There are some changes i'd like to see(dragging that baby stego carcass for example took an out of pocket amount of stamina and ptera is just.... Painful at times) but for the most part I've adapted to the changes.
@@dinometta i can't adapt at all 😆. The thing is, i can only play games for probably 5-6 hours a week, and with this changes, the game feels so slow paced. Usually i can grow any dino in one sessions of my playtime and still having good gameplay (in combat and survival aspects), but for right now i can't, because mostly you need to z walk or sprint for small period of time to conserve your stams, and the gateway is so much bigger than spiro. Most of my gameplay is about worrying about my stams, not to mention the nightvision is so awful to some species 😫
@@temujinchannel8584 Gotta learn to casually trot when traveling! It's slower, sure, but then when you do reach a migration zone or get into a fight you'll have full stamina to dive in! Then again, I've always been a trot-to-travel player, so I haven't had to change much outside of my fighting style xD
For someone with ADHD the new stam-system is really horrible. I can't hold up my attention span for the slow gameplay now. It is especially difficult since my main dino is Ptera aka the sitting simulator😅😭
@@July-nj5sn i feel you. Im an Omni main, so i know how it feels like struggling with the stamina in this new changes 😆. The only thing that bothers me is that i can't seems to enjoy the game now, because everything i do took time, the game feels so slow, and not to mention we got bad nightvisions, so i just afk when the sun goes down. I mostly can only play the Isle for about 1 to 2 hours a day, so you know why i can't enjoy playing this game anymore. Nothing to do at night, you need to walk while traveling around the huge map, it all takes time. Like you said, now it feels like dino walking simulator 😆
hello, Metta! I was wondering if i could get your opinion on the latest gateway update? Me personally, I absolutely DESPISE it. Aside from the fact that I was hoping to have received the new playables in this update, the game's performance is at an all time low; and I feel like I am playing a resting/starving simulator. I can't help it, I've tried for the past 2 weeks to give these changes a chance but even after 1200 hours of dedication to EVRIMA alone, I am beginning to feel myself get burnt out on being excited about updates and hoping for things that are not going to happen, such as the games optimization. I dont know, it just feels like we've taken a giant leap backwards at this point. Maybe its just my pessimistic attitude, or maybe i just need to wait for things to settle; but as of right at this very moment, the game is not enjoyable to me. PvP feels worst than it ever did in the past in terms of performance, and don't even get me started on the stam changes. Feel free to be brutally objective if you feel the opposite, maybe you can convince me that this is as good for the game's health as the devs claim! EDIT: 20:00 not to be the nerd that tries to tell a veteran how to play the game, and im sure you are already aware of this.. but i noticed you kept pulling the organs out for bjorn before he got there.. Were you aware that the organs go rotten faster than the body itself if they are outside the body? Love your videos btw!❤❤
Truth be told.... I actually love the changes. Some things still need to be tweaked with the stamina changes; getting up quickly, jumping, and other such things use too much stamina for how valuable it is as a resource now. I've always been a trot-to-travel player, so walking everywhere is very normal for me. Most of my time is spent walking places, finding things to hunt, and then deciding if the hunt is winnable with minimal stamina loss or at least before I run out. I haven't really had issues with performance, aside from dawn and dusk tanking my frames momentarily, so that hasn't been an issue for me either. But, take this with a grain of salt, because I absolutely love difficult games. I'm a sucker for punishment and the harder it is, the more entertained I am in trying to succeed at it. At the end of the day, The Isle is meant to be a hardcore survival game. Generally survival games require careful resource management. In The Isle, those resources are diets, food, water, and now stamina. I personally like these ridiculously hard things, I don't mind dying of starvation and what not when I'm not carefully managing things. But I dislike it when I've managed as well as I can, but still failed. My only real issues are with bugs, namely the rubberbanding that occurs during most fights and occasionally causes unfair hits.
@@dinometta I dont know why, but for me it’s the god forsaken lakes… especially when you are higher up and can see the entire lake plus a nice view, my frames immediately plummet to 20-40fps; drives me absolutely nuts, I never had that issue on spira due to, well.. the lack of lakes ig. But aside from the frames, they never plummet too bad to the point where it’s unplayable (at least in my opinion). Like you had stated, it’s the rubber banding that is slowly wearing me down and making me realize that I’m not just playing a difficult survival game; the game is just bad in its current state. For a game that is more PvP than PvE oriented this is very much so a problem, not just for its dedicated playerbase, but for the new players most of all; if they even do care about growing their playerbase that is.. not a bash, I just feel like they are ok with being a small game with a small dev team indefinitely. Thank you for your input, that’s one thing I always appreciate about your content!
@@jordonmartin8034 Yeah, the rubberbanding is absolutely the bane of the update. I believe they had a fix for it on UE4 because it used to happen there. But they've not fixed it yet on UE5. I'm okay with them hunting me though! It's a fun challenge!
*patiently waits for a fully first person as-the-dinosaur story*
Someday!
Very enjoyable gameplay, u are very skilled, btw your voice is cute
Lowkey creep comment...
A "rot wagon"! lol
Great content!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed!
u are admirably cool under pressure. also is this an official server ur on? i didnt know ppl go to the south and west side of the map
Yeah this happened on NA2. There's a good amount of people spread across the map. NE is just a hot spot
I hate that a herbi's first instinct is to chase down a carnivore after a failed hunt or when one of their herd dies.
Same! Carnivores have gotta eat. They don't have the luxury of "oh just graze if you're hungry"
If I'm hunting, it's because I need food!
damn u got a good narrative forsight. that 4k sub count is offensive imo
man that was a fun one to watch but.. pjorn... (poor bjorn)..
He was such a good sport! He really tried, and he did enough in each fight to help me pull through x]
thats fair, sometimes thats all you can ask for.. certainly inspired me to try to the isle again. been hard avoiding it with food/water drain being as it is combined with food moving all about. just been frustrating. but heres to another shot :P
watching this while i starve my fresh adult cera stuck between rocks, as the video ended my cera died too lul.
Oof, big rip
W channel
lil raptor it was bjorn :))
Lol nah, it was someone in the official discord. We had a short chat after the fight, it was the same raptor who brought us the fish and tried to offer me the lung! They didn't want to fight us and felt bad for me when there were so many raptors against just me in the end xD
Cera the staple carnivore
Cera is pretty great!
I was wondering if cerato could solo! I'm gonna grow one now, then :D
Cerato is great solo! Good luck!!
Tenos stupid lil bite attack rly shouldnt deal any damage to anything their size
Tenos bite deals an unnecessary amount of damage sometimes haha. Especially to raptors! Ouchie them horse teeth!
@@dinometta the thing is, those dumb donkeys dont even have teeth
My problem with this game is that herbis feel the need to be "heroes" and butt into fights. I understand herbis in real life kill and sometimes for no reason; but these are humans looking to pick fights.
Not all teno are like this I love play teno but I don't play like that 😢😢..
Love love your videos ❤❤❤❤
I know! I've run with a lot of very chill tenos! Someone must have spit in their cereal while I was running cerato x]
Thank you though! I'm glad you enjoyed!
i understand herbis having to be able to look after themselves, but revenge killing, actively hunting baby carnivores and even adult ones? that's not fun that's just being an ass
awsome vid
based video as always metta
🗿
Indeed thank you pigeon!
@@dinometta i always enjoy the videos 😄
But when I played teno in my previous video I only came across one bloodthirsty teno and I didn't include them because I didn't get involved in their "hunt"
It's why I enjoy the isle though, every day is a different experience.
And a lot where they don't xD
It just depends on who you face.
I do find that when I'm just looking for food, making the kill and then running away out of sight sometimes results in a better disengagement.
Slightly higher risk of someone else eating my food, but usually settles the herd better
@@dinometta makes sense 🤣
Well, i guess that is one of the reasons I dont play on officials and no rules servers
I love ur vids metta
Thank you!
Ohh yeee the tenos
I can't blame them sometimes haha! I get pretty bored on herbivores sometimes, waiting for something to come along and hunt me
I like your vids gg xD
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed!
How many times did Bjorn die in the video😂
So many(plus a few off screen deaths) x'D
People need to stop being so butt hurt about dying in an animal survival game. Like yeah you can be angry at player who’s here simply for a blood bath but being angry at someone who was just hungry is both asinine and pig headed.
Agreed. I don't mind dying, it's part of the game. But dying because I hunted something successfully and the herd has a problem with the circle of life? That stings.
epic
mm yummy rock leftovers
If you lick the rock hard enough you will gain sustenance!
Are the blood splats on the dinosaurs new?
Yeah, I think they've been toned down though. I haven't noticed them as dramatically anymore
They should really nerf tenons stam .
@@lemuelpierre2808 To an extent, yes. Though teno relies on stam for every attack except its bite, so if it gets nerfed too much, they'll really struggle
How did the teno come back all fully grown? Is it that kind of server?
There was a full herd, his friend came to avenge him
This happened on NA2
Ohh. Well damn. Still, your PvP skills are amazing! I wish I were this good!
@@naniengine thank you! It has taken a lot of practice but I feel like I'm finally starting to get somewhere with my pvp skills!
Juvi= allways Cute ^^
Man I hate when herbivores act like carnivores
Gets really frustrating when you're literally just trying to feed yourself!
@@dinometta fr
Metta, do you have any idea when they are gonna (probably) buff the stamina system? Its really unbearable for me... 😫
Its been 3 weeks (probably?) since i last playing the isle, been playing Path of Titans in the time being.
Hopefully it will be soon enough, but I know that decreasing your render distance does decrease how often it happens a bit.
Anyway, I'm glad you dropped in and you enjoy my content!
tenno players are easily the most annoying people to deal with..
Shocked I’m only just coming upon this content🫢
