This is what I really need for priming the cut throughs on my panels after blocking and DA sanding. Nice video Rob and that fan cap gives good coverage 👍
Nice review and hit all of the major strengths of this value brush. I’m a beginner and this was the second brush I bought after the Iwata Neo (a little harder to control). The Revolution was the perfect tool to learn how to spray.
Hi rob I bought my one after seeing one of reviews , I use mine for base coats and my 2k clear coats and it’s a real awesome brush for the money, I run this in conjunction with my iwata hp- cs eclipse and both find great brushes

I own one and total love it. one thing I think is great is the needle is blunt, so you don't run the risk of damaging it when cleaning.
also you can buy the pistol grip for this too

If I didn't already own a Grex TG-5 (with fan cap nozzle) I would definitely get one.

I bought this brush too to bridge the gap between airbrush and spray gun. I also bought one of them standard airbrush comfort grip handles off aliexpress think it cost me like £2 and was ere in two weeks got my soldering iron out and reshaped it by melting a tad where it sits up against the trigger and it now feels much better in the hand and much cheaper than the proper handle. Take ya time with it and it won't look shabby.

That's the only draw back is the paint cup. I received mine yesterday and I can't get the pattern that you did on yours with the fan cap. I was using candy20 so I was quite thinned. I was sold on creos until I used this brush. I think my issue was that I was treating this like a LVLP gun. Thanks for your video. This will teach me to watch your reviews first!!!! Key word First..,ty.
Ps 290 on for clear one for Base. Man love the creos. I did get the bigger cup also not as good quality on the finish as I expected, but I got it for the bigger size. I do not regret getting 2. One ps 290 is enough but 2 makes better sense. Rob lovely review. Thanks

Hi.... Agree 100% in performance. I wish this gun could be mounted with Nozzle size 0.8 mm set. Have not seen this yet?
Would be great with a 1.mm set up as well great brush use it all the time
Ah I see now. This brush is awesome. I just wish they had a siphon feed one bc I will need alot of paint. Wonder if that bigger cup you mentioned would pretty much he like a little bottle on a siphon feed. Now I have to decide haha!

I bought this airbrush today so thank you again! Do you know what air compressors will work with this? The brand they make for this gun is really up there in price but doesnt have that much psi. Will any really work with a high psi? Thanks.
@@xxMyztikxx hi when it comes to compressors silent ones tend to be more expensive I have an iwata studio jet that runs the ps290 I do have a video on it
I would say if your OK with abit of noise go for a small 50 litre one stick it in a wooden box with some sound proofing to keep the noise down
That's what I do with my big compressor outside 👍doing this would be a cheaper option for you that's if you have the room for a box that is

Thank you for all the info. I'm looking at the iwata studio jet that you said you used bc the other one I think ill have to get more parts for it to be used with an airbrush. Like moisture trap ect. ( new to this ). The iwata you use I'm so suprised and happy to hear that it works with the creos thst I got bc it has a low psi from what I'm reading. And was told creos needs high psi. So I just may go for it. Still looking at both of these tho thanks again.
I have been trying to figure how to use Rustoleum paint thinned for the 290. Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Let me add I am a total noob to airbrushing. I use mine for Rockets. May try for models later on.
Hi you need to find out if the rustoleum paint is water based or solvent then your good to go with thinning
@@dredfxcustompaint thanks for responding. It’s Rustoleum enamel paint. Oil based. I had used lacquer thinner to thin but then reading around saw that mineral spirits is what I should be using. I tried air brush thinner and made a mess of it. The Cros 290 is a solid tool but I’m in need of help here. Rockets are not plastic but large areas of painting so the fan nib is ideal.
The can spray works well enough but I find that I get sputters that ruin the work. Days of sanding and prepping gone in a second.
