The sky put on a show for you that night! 😮 enjoyed following along the flight down to Perth mate. Coming from SA, I sometimes forget how big WA really is and sure… I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the longest intrastate flight in the world… not sure about other countries with states or provinces that could touch that tbh. You’re right about the 10-20% above JQ and no huge desire to pay extra… had the same thinking recently when booking a MEL-ADL…. Virgin was around $30-40 more than JQ on a 1 hour flight… went with JQ. Enjoyed the video mate and I like the video overlays in the beginning. 👍
Thanks for watching @LukeCrisp! Thrilled to hear you enjoyed it mate. Yes its certainly amazing up there with stunning scenery and with a sunset to match on takeoff! As per longest intrastate flight I certainly couldn't find any flight that would be longer in my research although its important to remember not all countries are comprised of states. I guess the only place that could come close is Alaska in the USA or the North West Territories, Quebec or Nunavut in Canada. Far as I'm aware Russia doesn't have have states but instead federal subjects comprised of republics and oblasts etc. Totally agree with you about Virgin's place in the market though - wouldn't want to be paying much more than Jetstar and would want a pretty good saving over Qantas but that's just me - some people obviously may have better status with Virgin so i totally understand if that is their airline of choice!
@@AussieJetSetter Yeah if I worked towards status and earned VA points definitely but my whole set up is all QFF so I generally paying full freight VA. Anyways mate, once again good vid 👍
Nice one . A bit of action of late re Perth with Jetstar cree bading and ab 321 lr no biz seat a/c up to Asia. And 12 bucks for a can of bush chook. Blarfy heck
Thanks for tuning in again Phil. Yep great to see a recent flurry of newer low cost options appear from Perth to South East Asia. I saw the Bangkok service only started the other day which is great to see some competition with Thai on the route! Yep $12 for a can of the trusty "Export" is actually pretty outrageous when i reflect on it. My local used to only charge $5, its probably $6 or $7 now lol
Hello all whilst i am fairly confident that this is the world's longest intrastate flight if we are talking about regularly scheduled flights within the conventional definition of states within a country please do let me know in the comments if you think this is not the case and indeed what you think some of the world's other very long intrastate flights may be!
Hello all and welcome to this evening's launch of my flight review of the ex KLM Boeing 737-700 Virgin Australia Kununurra to Perth service which from my understanding is likely the world's longest regularly scheduled commercial intrastate flight in the world! Really hope you enjoy this unique aviation adventure and if so please do give it a like, leave a comment and share amongst your family and friends! @@leadedrapier709 I remember they had a Paris to Papeete direct flight in Tahiti at one stage! Which was crazy at nearly 10,000 miles for a domestic flight!
Thanks for watching Anthony! With a gazetted flight time of 2h40m it is certainly up there as a contender but is still 50 mins shy of Kununurra to Perth at 3h30m
Very enjoyable and informative. The sky and scenery looked spectacular.Certainly a long intrastate flight.
Thanks for watching. Yes absolutely spectacular place up there to be flying. Certainly is God's country up there!
Did perth to broom 3 times and back amazing landscape below to see at 30 thousand ft but so clear them flew home to melbourne long day but enjoyable

Could be. I know longest flight domestic is France I believe it's from Paris to a little island near Madagascar

Domestic?
Yeah you could still rightly say its a domestic flight though it is also an intrastate flight too
Broome to perth

Thanks for watching, quite outrageous indeed and a perfect illustration of the current cost of living crisis!
