@@dansvlogtrucking Nice info, Question: Do you know the best way for a new cdl holder to start learning and getting some work driving dump trucks, Im in CA and looking for some part time week end work , just to start out,. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks God Bless
Hell yeah Mack attack, with your cool arse drone in the air, catching all the loader footage, that was your plan of attack, YES SIR! And you must have had that talk with the loader driver, cause he didn't make you obese with 600 pounds overweight this time, very nice. And unlike that huge pile of dino dung in Jurassic Park that aint gonna make anybody any money, that pile of gravel is gonna earn some mulla. God I love that blue truck, and I really like the look of that steering wheel too, and you keep that truck nice and clean, at least on the inside hehe. Thank you so much Dan, I really appreciate you and the vids you post, your positively stellar. :)
FAA is looking at social media where you are making money with your channel which will require a Part 107 license. You should look into getting one. You can study for it online, there are plenty of sources and then take the test, $150. They are rolling at Remote ID which will really limit hobbyist pilots in the future and anything in the furtherance of business (making money) now requires a 107...
love the old school UHF. I can't find ones like that anywhere in Australia. Also. you have an apple watch on... Would you recommend them for the construction industry? how would they go always moving around etc?
@@dansvlogtrucking Cool. I’m in the Valdosta Ga area. One more question, are they good about giving annual raises? If I were to work there and stay on for 20+ years, would I make a very good living as I continue getting yearly pay-raises?
@@GeneralSirDouglasMcA Blue Max policy when I was there was $1 a year for first 2 years (maybe 3) but then really small 3% raises annually. May not be exactly that but it was in that range if memory serves me right. Good retirement plan and decent medical.
Hey Dan how did you get into dump truck driving? I got my CDL 6 months ago and got a local job driving tractor trailer. The reason I ask is because all of the companies around me in NYS require expierience operating dump trucks...
It is hard to break into the game. I had experience driving roll off trucks so the transition was acceptable to Blue Max. You may need to find a small company and work with them for a year or 2 then seek out larger companies with benefits etc

That Mack truck is so classic
Loved my Mack!
The steering wheel on that truck looks really cool, looks like a flatbottom that you would see on sports cars.
It is! And has radio and cruise control right on it

Thank you Ashurii! I appreciate your support
Great footage with the drone. I really enjoy the trucking videos, take care.
Thank you very much
So glad you got the drone, really adds a great perspective in your jobs! You may need a Part 107 certificate before long to use it on your channel...
Is this something over and above the registration requirements if it’s over 250 g?

What truck do you have and the specs
Hey Dan love your videos. How does Blue Max treat the drivers? I’am thinking about applying with them in Summerville SC. Thanks
I can only speak for myself. I have no issues with them personally that would cause me to pause.
How hard is it to drive a dump truck
Does that truck have an automatic transmission, the 1 that I sold Mar of 19 had a 13
Yes it is Auto
I have a few months shy of 2 years driving a tandem truck with a 10 spd transmission, but no tri-axle. Would I be eligible for employment?
Yup!
