VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
The layout that this charming couple chose for themselves is stunning, with a vast kitchen space made just for Janae and her love for cooking and a workspace for both of these photographers. The living area has a table surrounded by a U-shaped couch with storage below the cushions and more behind the frame. A significant portion of this tiny home is the grand bathroom containing a full-size washer and dryer, a C-head composting toilet, and a glass shower next to the double-height vanity.
The upstairs opening area is meant for relaxation and separation from the main house. There are musical instruments, books, beanbags, and plants to flatter the energy of the spacious room. When you gaze towards the loft, you'll notice the eye-catching beam that accents the centerline of the ceiling. Janae and Blaine not only live tiny, but they also design tiny for others! These two enjoy where they live and love what they do.

Ohhh, this is my favourite tiny house yet! What a fantastic kitchen and the outdoor space is awesome. I love the marble. Blaine and Janae are the sweetest couple, I love the way he looks at her, it's just so pure.
That's the way life was intended to be, you can see the joy in their faces in nice open spaces, enjoying the great outdoors. So much better than the city with it's high rise buildings which is no way to live. This is peaceful and calming ~
This house has nothing you would not have in a regular house but so much more cozy.
This home make an person feel so cozy with love without being trapped.
I love that they have the Bible on display. So little room to have stuff out, and that was chosen ❤️

Line the curtains to resist the heat coming through the windows in the summer time and add insulation to reduce heat loss in the winter.
Lined curtains will last longer because sun damage to the fabric is reduced.

@@DC45193 sorry for butting in but lined curtains are those that have a separate material backing. They have a pretty front panel with an attached thicker backing to keep out light. Can also be used by black out curtains or you can buy thicker cloth and use as lining in a diy project.

Of all the tiny house videos I've seen so far, this is the one I like most. Very well designed, full size appliances for adult size people, plenty of storage. Congrats on getting it right.
You said it can get quite hot in the summer w/ a west facing exposure . On the front of your place I would add a patio cover, and since you like plants, find a vine in your climate to add to shade some of that sun from the front of your place and will bring the summer temps down. Maybe add 2 small trees on either side of your patio w/ some shrubs.
That moving bed is GENIUS
One of the nicest, with plenty of storage, and large kitchen. A winner. So many nice tiny house models, and this one has many good ideas. I love watching them and hope to have a tiny home retreat community one day

what appeals to me most about a tiny home is how often times you get to tailor the space for yourself. this tiny home has a kitchen that is nicer, bigger, and more functional than many studios or even one bedrooms, simply because this couple designed it themselves and prioritized it in their home. the degree of customizability that you can achieve for your lifestyle is a big part of the appeal of the tiny home movement for me.

Such a sweet couple! THIS TINY HOUSE does not look tiny at all. Its so roomy. Specially the kitchen and bathroom. Love the tones of blue, my favorite. Bless you both.
This is one of the first tiny homes I've seen that has kitchen gadgets in and I mean more than just a blender. I like that they actually have a stand mixer in it. I also really like that they have a railing next to the stairs; so many tiny homes don't and I don't really get why. The elevator bed is quite interesting although I would have liked to see it at the lowest setting.
She could do "unintentional ASMR" . . . such a soothing voice.
The elevated bed is the best. I wish they had spoke more about it. I've only seen this type of bed in two other tiny homes. They're great for space saving on an absolute necessity for most of us.

Yes! Finally a closet in a bathroom! Where you can get dressed standing up and not hunched over in a small loft. This is a great design! Great work and y’all are so cute!
I commented too soon- do yourself a favor and keep your whole closet downstairs.
I always wonder about humidity though..good for wrinkles for not other materials.

I would like to see another video with them that goes into more details about their solar system, which water heater they have, how they use the water storage containers in back by the propane tanks, how they move their propane tanks to fill them -- or does a truck come to them, etc.

I am a total TH fan! I've virtually toured hundreds and this by far is my favorite. It is soooooo clean, tidy, organized and a visual treat for my "OCO". Obsessively Clean and Organized!
I bet some lining on those curtains would help with blocking some of the heat (and cold.) It seems like it would be an easy enough addition.
Also - Did I miss the square footage? It's a beautiful home, and I could absolutely see myself living in something like this, but it seems bigger than a traditional "tiny home."
Window film would help too.

@@cindynuzzi6990 I agree!! Once she pointed out the cat food, I kept looking for the cat or cats or even just a sign of cats in the house like a litter box, bed, toys, etc. Nothing. And of course, there they finally were. Outside! At least they aren't in a heavy traffic, densely populated area, but there are still other dangers. I hope the kittens are vaccinated and spayed/neutered.

Great job on your tiny house, all of the storage you made sure to have in there was very smart, i personally think if its a couple just starting out, a elderly couple that has retired, and honestly can not afford to retire completely, this would absolutely be perfect, maybe a single mom or dad,
even someone disabled just change a few things for their specific needs..
