I made some smoked baked beans for an event at work yesterday. I’d never done it before. I used most of what is in this recipe except I used bacon, smoked sausage and andouille sausage. They were a huge hit. People actually called me after hours to tell me how much they liked them.

I would recommend that you sauté the onions and peppers before you put them in the beans. I’d also add some minced garlic. It works, trust me.
Recipe is Dead on. Strong work. Like to see what you do with large cuts of protein. 😀
Bell pepper actually adds good flavor. It is considered an aromatic for a reason.
You really should have sauteed the peppers and onions first! They will stay crunchy when cooking like you have in the video.
