I really miss Windows 95. Life was simpler and we would use our brains better than today.😔

It’s the perfect data mining and spyware tool for Microsoft.

This does look extremely powerful and it does make me wonder who the person was who okayed this and thought it was a great idea. As much as data leaks are happening, and people are getting banned from using certain services for certain political and religious beliefs. It would really cause me to pause to want something like that on my own personal computer. Sure it’s encrypted, but nothing is really uncrackable or even unleakable. I have to put my total and complete trust in Microsoft with something like this on my computer, don’t I? This is like a spyware dream.

“Can’t find it on oneDrive or your outlook inbox ? Sometimes no matter how hard it tries, Microsoft can’t find the document you were working on. Now it captures everything. “

The answer is both. Privacy nightmare for sure, second brain when and if it works (and if it works it’s a matter of time until they shittify it and resell as a premium feature)

microsoft LISTENS to FEEDBACK, not really, people have asked to get a lean windows 11, no recall/copilot on a LOCAL account
instead of a microsoft account, but still, microsoft is PUSHING and IMPLEMENTHING these in their OS
instead of having a CHOICE they make it harder to use a LOCAL account, thats also why a lot of people swiched to linux

Apparently your PC has to be a Co-Pilot + PC for this to work. Mine is not. The only way to get out of the Insider Program if your PC is not Co-Pilot + capable, and you chose "DEV" is to do a clean install of Windows 11, and you will lose all your data. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is the information I am finding.

I am not satisfied on Microsoft privacy statement on this feature. I won't use it. I even not use Windows 11 after end of support. It's horrible Microsoft wants it to install on all computers.anf not only to Copilot Plus PCs.

the problem is that Recall is capturing credit card information

Kevin - this is one way to lose all credibility and your viewers. Don't treat your subscribers like we're dumb, ignorant, and gullible. You spent 7 minutes praising "this tool" (quite literally: unwanted poorly designed spyware), and then you talked about "privacy" for 25 seconds at the end. This is a disaster, and quite honestly dude - you sound like a paid shill. You are better than this. Nobody ever asked for Recall, nobody wants it, and nobody actually trusts Microsoft not to spy on all of our data and continue training AI/LLM models, or worse. Much worse. You should be ashamed of trying to make a positive spin on this situation.

I wonder how much microsoft paid you to do this one. Does anyone really believe Microsoft will not use this for their own profits, through their back doors or simply through changing their terms down the road as they did with so many of their features? There are great apps out there that enables you to do the same without the microsoft greed for control and without jeopordizing your own security the way this, with ALL the fixing microsoft did, does I would not trust microsoft with any data let alone every single thing I do on my computer!

I think Recall is a cool feature in theory, but I believe that in practice it does not add very significant value in the long run, while at the same time introducing significant and greater threats of privacy, security, and surveillance to the end user. Whoever at Microsoft that came up with the idea of the feature should be ashamed of themselves and be fired immediately.

I don't tend to give engagement to bad videos, but since the dislike information is hidden I will give you a little of engagement before unsubscribing. I know you love being Microsoft lap dog, but this one is going to far, something is promoting crappy products, but with the concern about hackers and scammers exploiting every single weakness possible on not tech savvy and elderly people and the fact that Microsoft it is completely OK with recording all your personal and financial information (including credit cards data) but also goes the extra mile at the same time not to record Netflix or any DRM content, this is literally malicious software, and you downplay the risks, your title is about privacy and your answer is... they listened to the feedback and investigate on your own if you want to learn the negative stuff. You are disgusting, goodbye.

people should have a CHOICE if they want that AI crap imbedded on their system, i surely dont
i find everything i want to find just fine, i dont need AI to log everything, even sensitive info
even though i am an older person my mind is stimulated to think because i have to think logically, letting AI do all the work for you will
have a negative impact on your way of thinking and problem solving, dont get me wrong, i love AI when it comes to enhancing of pictures and older personal SD videos, but for the rest i DONT NEED it to be on my PC, PERIOD

    Fine with simple things.

It'll certainly be helpful for old people like my mom. For myself, it'll depend on the system resources. I rarely need it because I organise my stuff well.
By the way, I guess if Apple released this feature, people would just say it's innovative. But when Windows does it, there's always a bunch of people talking about switching to Linux. I just feel unfair for Microsoft.
This is a good feature, as well as the AI development. I'm hoping to see Windows becoming simpler, cleaner, smoother and more user friendly with more elegant appearance. And more stable server like OneDrive please.

I don't think Microsoft and Apple are so much competitors as they were in the older days. If I'm not mistaken, I think Microsoft owns some shares in Apple. There is an interview somewhere online between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates that hinted on this, I think. Or probably you could Google search if there's such a thing.
