i was waiting for the “invincible” title card the whole episode 😭😭
Fr every time they paused I was anxiously waiting for the title card but it only showed up at the end when I least expected 😭
They got me every single time lmaooo

They teased us with it until the end. I wonder if they were poking fun at the joke/meme they started in season 1
Did nobody else notice that bulletproof is wearing the same exact costume that was offered to Mark but refused at the beginning of season 1? It's clearly foreshadowing that bulletproof will be the next invincible.
That's what happened in the comics, it's more so his role as a second fiddle for the Earth's mightiest hero. He has a tragic story I hope we see.

When Mark made dinner he pulled out three plates, not two. So he might still be holding out hope of a reunion or hasn't moved on yet.
I was wondering why he grabbed three plates. It hadn't occurred to me that it was out of habit, not really being used to Nolan being gone. That's some nice subtle storytelling.
I noticed that watching through, such a nice touch. Of course he’d be used to setting the table with 3 plates

I immediately remembered a similar scene from the comics when that happened, but their reactions were far more severe.
Wasn't made clear in the video but I'm pretty sure the Angstrom we see in the opening section with evil Mark isn't the same one we end up with. He was just taken right before he died so he could contribute his memories to the main Angstrom's plan of saving everyone.
Maybe the one we saw in the beginning is the one who noticed him talking to the maulers

Two things ive seen noone mention;
1) the cracks in the titlecard unveil slivers of invincible-blue, meaning this will be a reversal of the originals progressive blood splattering. I wonder if this reflects Mark's arc this season of chipping away at the trauma from season 1
2) angstrom absolutely could've teleported mark to a different reality while he cooked, or dispelled the maulers before they had chance to kill him (although I agree that mark probably can't be killed) - for someone as smart as he purports to be that was a very self-sabotaging oversight
I've seen that point about angstrom but idk why anyone would expect that. His brain is getting fried and he's not experienced in these tense, violent situations. Of course he's not making the best choice
@@AlecBaldwinsTriggerFingeralright fair, but how was he able to summon all the other maulers then if he was being overloaded with information?
@@epicmike2055 seemed like a pre-planned contingency to me, but my argument isn't that he's incapable of doing things in the moment. It's that he's naturally not going to be perfect thinking on the fly in a violent situation (it is foreign to him), let alone while his brain is being fried with info from 100 dimensions.
It's like watching a horror movie and being mad when the person running away isn't perfect and does something dumb. Of course they did something dumb. They aren't survival experts or combat trained
Think about the physics of the portals though. They don't move like how Dr. Strange's move around. They're stationary to where they're opened. And if he tries to open one below Mark while he's standing, he could just fly out. It works in the comics because Mark is charging at Angstrom so when he goes through the portal, he doesn't have enough time to get back to it because of how far he flew through the portal from his speed.
It's mentioned in the episode that in most of the other universes, Mark teams up with Nolan. When Angstrom gains all if the memories from the other hims, he remembers Mark mostly as a killer, even though his own Mark isn't.
When I read the comics, i thought Angstrom blamed Mark for the machine destroying/disfiguring him; this episode made me realize this other motivation. Thanks for the video!
The comics was also very different. Angstrom wanted to keep Invincible alive so that he could kill him personally, which then caused him to try to get out of the machine to stop the Mauler Twins, and you know the rest.
Then, in the comics, it was mostly Angstrom blaming Invincible for disfiguring him, so you're right about that. They make Angstrom more interesting in the series, thankfully.
@@lambdpro3982They made his story clearly a tragedy, it will most likely continue like in the comics from now on, but this added layer really sells the "heroic fall from grace" for the universe's irony.
his mark is a killer, he is the armstrong that fell in the portal and the one infront of the big screen with mark on it
Well the maulers mention it would mess him up to come out of it early, I think he kept the information and all the emotions from the deaths all the invincibles caused and he doesn’t know what real or not or he just can’t regulate that information being somewhere else

Whats going on if you dont mind telling me
Eve, in the comics, involuntarily resets when dying. So, in the alternate universe, Eve not being killed might be a nod to that.
That would point to Mark k owing that which he probably does. We saw it in the Atom Eve prequel.
They probably didn't want to reveal this power right away and want to keep it for later.
I feel like the bone in the dessert could’ve been from the mauler twin that got killed while escaping in season 1

Ok so you got something wrong: the angstrom in the opening isn’t the same one that creates the portals. He only survived invincible in the opening because that was when angstrom gathered his other selves.
The voice acting is on another level this season. Cant wait to hear Peter Cullen and Rhea Seahorns chatacters.
I don’t think the blood is wiped away on the title card, it looks like it becomes fully covered in blood (notice the invincible letter colouring becomes the same shade of red but in full, and the blue background becomes the red on top of the blue, appearing closer to black)
Yeah pretty sure they're going to gradually change the title card again and each season that fits the theme and transitions into the next.

I personally think that our mark is so different because Omni man was more humane in the timeline we follow. Since let's be real, he had 0 not to indoctrinate his son secretly or openly. Of course, in other timelines, we don't know how he did, but we can safely assume that he had more of an influence of him. Thus, in most times, he managed to convince him. Now I am not 100% curtain and I am open to other ideas.
The Title Card thing done by the makers really surprised me as I was always predicting when it'd appear but, they kept up the surprise element & I just love it.

Days of Future Past was constantly in the top-tier CBM conversation. Nobody really slept on that movie. It's just that people nowadays have the memory of goldfish.
The mauler twin with the soul patch is a nod to their look in the comics
Did anyone notice in the season 1 when Nolan's wife goes to the tailor to investigate Nolan's suit there you can see the super suit of the new guy "Bulletproof" in the backgruond.
yea the super hero tailor initially offered Invincible that suit but then he decided he wanted his own custom suit.
Also when Mark straight up wears it before coming up with Invincible.
If I have learned one thing from watching THE BOYS, GEN V and INVINCIBLE, it's that I do not want to live in a world full of superheroes and villains. Yikes!

Two things. First I don’t think Mark is letting the government handle the situation because he doesn’t want to be noticed I think he stopped because of his RAGE that he gets. He doesn’t want to be like his dad. When he RAGES he doesn’t care about anything else.
Second bulletproof is wearing the suit that was offered to Mark. Kinda foreshadowing him being invincible.
I just wanna give you props on the fact that not all the MCU movies are better than some of the outside marvel films in 2012 on, Logan, Deadpool, and DOFP are amazing and also great tributes to the movies that came before the MCU

I'm fine with marvel shifting to Dr. Doom as the big-bad for this phase... But that doesn't mean Kang has to go away completely, and I don't see why people think it should.

I just watched invisible season 1, episode 1 of season 2, and the atom eve short movie for the first time. Really cool!
I really can't wait for the invincible war, it was one of my favorite moments in the comics. Also Mark with a mustache like Nolans looks funny.
Invincible is off to a great start. GEN V was great, Loki was great. Where are the people pushing the narrative of comic book movie fatigue?

Jonathan Majors has been amazing. And there's nothing messy about the story. Surprised to hear you say that of all people. It's shockingly straightforward. If anything, Kang has been the best part of the MCU recently.

I completely agree. This is the 1st time we're getting a live action Kang, when Doom arrives it will be his 3rd or 4th iteration.. Let Kand breathe a little. Comics have no impact on how good or bad a character will be in the MCU.
