The ending with Logan and Laura at Wade's party is probably a callback to the dinner scene in Logan where it's the first time you see everyone being happy, and Charles tells Logan that this is what it's like to be a part of a family.
But I also love how directly after he does that, the camera cuts to an angle of with Paradox in frame, and DP is walking back towards him, and there's nothing there, making it feel like his whole fourth wall breaking is, in universe, some extreme form of mental illness lol

I have a theory. Some say that Nicepool did not have any mutant abilities explaining his face, but I believe that in his universe, he didn't acquire the regenerative abilities we know and love. Instead, he received the same ability Francis has in the prime universe-never feeling pain. This explains why he doesn't seem to notice or experience anything painful.
One detail I noticed was with the encounter between Wolverine and Sabertooth. Him cutting his head off is a nod to Wolverine Origins when Sabertooth says "Do you even know how to kill me?" and Wolverine replies "I'm gonna cut your goddamn head off, see if that works". Guess it works lol

The robotic leg that they flew away on was a Sentinel leg. They specifically mention that fact in the movie. Which is also technically a reference to the Deadpool video game where he flew around Genosha in a rigged up Sentinel foot.

Between that and Elektra talking about not even being allowed to try to save their universes really made this movie more heartfelt in that they honored all of the Fox movies in that final montage.

not gonna lie, at my theater Chris Evans got the quietest cheer. Which surprised me. We definitely laughed when he said Flame On though. And again when he got a nut-shot. Blade on the other hand almost made me deaf. I haven't even seen Blade and I still cheered. Gambit got a bit of a cheer too, but I think most people were confused seeing Channing Tatum because you won't know about the non-existent movie unless you went to look for it. Tatum instantly becomes legendary with his long awaited performance of Gambit. As a kid growing up in the 1980’s collecting X-Men and Wolverine comics and watching the X-Men cartoon in the 1990’s where the 2 best characters were Wolverine and Gambit this is a dream come true 35 years in the making. Honestly this is arguably the best comic book live action next to X2 and the “Dark Knight”
Multiverse of Madness was fine, but this was literally the movie we all expected that to be, but with different characters. I’m glad we got what we got then, so we could get this now.
It was more of a I thought you were...uh...retired which I was under the impression was more of a shout out because Wesley Snipes has been a hollywood out cast since he got charged with tax evasion and was subsequently cancelled.
Nicepool not having any regeneration powers was a nice detail, the only Deadpool that revealed their face, the only one who didn't go thru the experiments that actually gave them his powers.
15:04 happy isn’t saying “no one has never needed you” he’s saying that regular people DO need extraordinary people like him, but only a select few are selfless enough to do it for the right reason. Wade is doing it selfishly saying things like “I need this” and “I need to prove myself”, not to mention only doing it because he wants Vanessa to see he can be apart of something bigger than himself, but the avengers SACRIFICE their own needs for the sake of the worlds safety and security. Happy’s point is that he is selfish, while the heroes in the Avengers are selfless.
Two little easter eggs that I noticed: 1) The Henry Cavil Wolverine does the "reloading arm" thing that he did in Mission Impossible when he went to snikt his claws 2)When deadpool kills nicepool, he tries to bring him over to the donut cart even though there's a pharmacy/medical center right behind the two of them, literally nicepool is looking right at it XD
This movie was phenomenal, yes, it was a form of fan service but the delivery of the story made sense and the characters were well implemented. My favorite part of this entire film was that the writing did stay true to who Wolverine is. When Logan said “This is for Charles” I felt it in my soul.
I was so surprised to see Wesley Snipes return as Blade, but then I realized him and Ryan worked together on Blade: Trinity that I wasn’t anymore lol. Thank you Ryan for showing Marvel how to make a great film!! ❤❤

@@Charlesgerb yes its hard, Comic Wolverine is about Kevin hart height (about 1 inches taller than him) but with more muscle mass, which is very difficult for the actor, Chris Hemsworth says that its very difficult to maintain Thor physique. not many actors who had 5,3 inches that also very buff, usually 5,3 people had lean muscles and not muscles mass, unless they are a bodybuilder. and on Deadpool, like you said, it just for the jokes ~ but also telling us height accurate comic Wolverine without bodybuilder-like body is just funny.

I was SO impressed by Channing Tatum’s Gambit. The accent was incredible. He looked great. The effects on his cards looked awesome. His fight choreo was dope. Loved it all!!
This movie felt like both a diss track and a love letter to the 20th Century Fox Marvel Universe and all of the other 2000s superhero movies we grew up on. Without those movies there is no MCU, and now we’ve graduated. Using Green Day during the end credits was the cherry on top.
When Henry Cavill's wolverine punched Deadpool in the chest ... You can actually see that he punched him with the famous style of arm reloading from the mission impossible movie An amazing detail I enjoyed watching :)
I saw the end credits reel more as the filmmakers signing this as a love letter to all the films that will be forgotten to time as they weren't part of the MCU proper rather than an old school blooper reel

Something to note. Deadpool isn’t using straps or rope for wolverine’s claws at the beginning. He’s wrapped the sinew and flesh around his arms so the claws will stay on
My favorite part was Deadpool's line about Alioth "Oh, you mean from Loki Season 1 Episode 5?!" I LOVED the Loki series and I'm glad that it's really becoming the ribbon on the future MCU and tying it into everything else.

Tatum instantly becomes legendary with his long awaited performance of Gambit. As a kid growing up in the 1980’s collecting X-Men and Wolverine comics and watching the X-Men cartoon in the 1990’s where the 2 best characters were Wolverine and Gambit this is a dream come true 35 years in the making. Honestly this is arguably the best comic book live action next to X2 and the “Dark Knight”

It was more of a I thought you were...uh...retired which I was under the impression was more of a shout out because Wesley Snipes has been a hollywood out cast since he got charged with tax evasion and was subsequently cancelled.
Nicepool not having any regeneration powers was a nice detail, the only Deadpool that revealed their face, the only one who didn't go thru the experiments that actually gave them his powers.
in the comics, that character is called Hotpool. He looks exactly like the one in the movie, including his famous golden guns.

Happy’s point is that he is selfish, while the heroes in the Avengers are selfless.
Two little easter eggs that I noticed:
1) The Henry Cavil Wolverine does the "reloading arm" thing that he did in Mission Impossible when he went to snikt his claws
2)When deadpool kills nicepool, he tries to bring him over to the donut cart even though there's a pharmacy/medical center right behind the two of them, literally nicepool is looking right at it XD

This movie was phenomenal, yes, it was a form of fan service but the delivery of the story made sense and the characters were well implemented. My favorite part of this entire film was that the writing did stay true to who Wolverine is. When Logan said “This is for Charles” I felt it in my soul.
Wolverine’s subplot was great and the fight choreography was awesome, Deadpool’s tho….. i did not care for lol. The love interest was irrelevant
this movie was just a fanservice, but it was shit, the story didn't stick. Everything good about this movie is the Wolverine-costume

On my second viewing I caught that Henry Cavillpool extends his claws in a pretty clear homage to the arm reloading in Mission Impossible!
The comic accurate Wolverine had me bursting up. Like i seriously lost it. The way Deadpool speaks like he's talking to an infant. I could not breathe. Reminded me of the Deadpool game when he called Wolverine a "hairy little midget" 🤣🤣🤣

I was SO impressed by Channing Tatum’s Gambit. The accent was incredible. He looked great. The effects on his cards looked awesome. His fight choreo was dope. Loved it all!!
The only thing that didn't look good was his headpiece. That just looks weird as hell on Channing.

This movie felt like both a diss track and a love letter to the 20th Century Fox Marvel Universe and all of the other 2000s superhero movies we grew up on. Without those movies there is no MCU, and now we’ve graduated. Using Green Day during the end credits was the cherry on top.

My favorite part was Deadpool's line about Alioth "Oh, you mean from Loki Season 1 Episode 5?!" I LOVED the Loki series and I'm glad that it's really becoming the ribbon on the future MCU and tying it into everything else.
It's also a fun callback to the comics where they'll put in reference issue notes

I think there was one more that you didn't clock. During the scene where they meet Elektra, Blade and Gambit, they mention Johnny Blaze and Deadpool starts talking about Chris Evans from earlier. However, that is Johnny Storm, Johnny Blaze is Ghost Rider. Makes me wish Nicolas Cage had a cameo too.
