btw you need Japanese SIM that can receive SMS. Many eSim etc. they sell do not have SMS function. Also check that from the normal SIM cards, that they have SMS feature, not just DATA PLAN.
I just used my data plan without a SIM and I have T-Mobile 😅
when not in the station how do you lock the bike when parked?
You can just lock it manually. Then you can use the app to unlock it again as long as you are still renting the bicycle. 👌
