It really seems like they had to hurry this game along. The boss fights are so one dimensional. This game took me literally 4 years to beat because I finally figured out to kneel next to the mountain with a crystal. Imagine the endorphine rush I got as a young kid in 1991 when that tornado popped up on screen and transported me to another castle. This game could’ve been considered the best in the NES series if they put a lot more work into it
It's still among my favorites on the NES. I feel the same way though. It's strange especially when you are in one mansion and there's a boss, and then the next one doesn't have one
@@oreocookie1331 Exactly. A lot of instances in that game that I look back on and it makes me think they rushed it. I agreed, though, I still really liked this one.
@markcharles2819 yeah, I remember the tip line, I think? You could call in? My dad was very cheap and would never allow me to even buy a video game magazine. I also discovered the dungeon on legend of Zelda by lighting about every tree on fire in the game. Took me probably a year or two to find that dungeon and progress in that game.
Hello Crazy Ghost! I'm currently doing a project with castlevania music, and was wondering if I could use some snippets of this in my video. You would be given credit, of course.
For me, the best thing about this game is that they introduce what would be the mechanics of Metroidvania. But the fact that they only have three bosses and they are a joke, I didn't like it at all. ☹️☹️☹️
A very good Contender for the worst castlevania game of all time, only 3 mid bosses, confusing level layout and overall inferior gameplay to the other entries in the series

@@Cookie_Cutter_Creep every tree! I'm afraid I'm going to have to report you to Smokey the Bear.
@@lacuna17 give me a break. I was just a kid!
I forgot how bad the bosses of this game were. Im not playing this game again.
This game was missing a remake with much more content and improved mechanics and bosses. 😖😖😖
Carmella is like the best one though but still bad
I think this was their first attempt at a Metroidvania.
Of the Castlevania games, it is the first, just like the first Metroid game on NES 😉😉😉

Dracula in this version looks more like death than dracula
If the truth. I bet that if Death hasn't appeared, many will be confused. 🤔🤔🤔
Only 3 bosses?
Yes, only three and they are not very good. 😖😖😖
Just 3 bosses. Much beter the first game. There are more bosses.

3 bosses in a Castlevania game. This certainly was the worst of them. Great concepts executed very poorly.
