Yes you go girl! Wasn’t it the most amazing empowering experience?! I had a non medicated birth with my last daughter (my 4th child) and it was amazing! I had a doula and used hypnobirthing techniques and it went so smooth ❤ I can’t wait to hear your labor story!
Go girl! I had an emergency C-section with my first and attempted 3vbacs. Unfortunately all resulted in C-sections, but I was so glad I did my best. My dream was a home birth, but we don't control circumstances. All 4 of my babies are healthy and well despite their slightly traumatic entrances :) I have since discovered I have a pelvic abnormality which is why NONE of my babies could descend despite being 7 cm dilated. I wish I would have known about it before, but it does bring me some comfort to know I couldn't have done anything more. Congratulations!
Thanks for sharing! I'm going for my VBAC in February! When I watched your birth story video, I felt like I was listening to another episode of the VBAC link podcast 😃 This video was super informative and encouraging too!!
I definitely feel your mindset has a lot to do with how painful it was... I went through 56 hours of labor & my biggest fear was "what if it gets a lot worse than this & I cant take it" & I wanted to get an epidural. But with me- i KNOW where the pain was- I had back labor, & every single contraction felt like my back was being squeezed in a cardboard balor! (Not exaggerating! The first 20 hours or so werent THAT BAD, it was like the period back pain I have, but the next 36 hours felt that way) But then I had to go through an "emergency c section" which i dont beleive I actually needed. I think the doctors & nurses were just ready to get it over with which makes me soooo angry! A large percentage of patients at that hospital have "energency c sections" & I definitely agree that other women feel like youre saying something bad towards them by saying you want to go without an epidural. I have several female family members say "you say that now, wait til you're in labor, you will get it just like I did" instead of saying something like "if you can do it thats awesome. I cpuldnt take the pain thouhh, i had to get an epidural" i dont feel youre any less of a woman if you get it or if you dont. Everyone has their own reasons for not wanting one. I already had back issues from being in an accident & was scared the anesthesiologist wpuld ness up & Id have worse back pain or get paralyzed. Also, my sister said she regretted having one becaise she wasnt able to feel ANYTHING
Loved your birthing story of little Tristen, Christina! So sweet! And if you need any encouragement for child #3, the labor did get much easier for my 3rd child. I only count the hard labor hours; first one was 8 hard labor hours, the second child was half, about 4 hours, the third child only 2 hours. They were all natural with no medication. Everyone is different though. God bless.
Happy Birthday Christina. I wish everyone a happiest of birthday's and also, I believe that no matter what age we turn in 2023 that everyone should celebrate it in any way that they can and do it the best that they want to with friends and family. It should be celebrated in an awesome way.
Christina I have a question my step mom had a misscarage like 2 months is it ok if me and my step mom are still sad about it I watched your misscarage video and thought you would be the person to ask

With my daughter my c section definitely wasn't wanted or planned. It also scarred me... and I'll be avoiding another one like the plague this time. Thankfully I have my doula again and a wayyy better OB who is VBAC friendly and won't force me to do things the other OB did that stalled out my labor and resulted me in that c section. It was very traumatic. I'm praying for a healthy VBAC like yours. Chiropractic feels like it's helping a lot because I'm not in pain like I was the first pregnancy. How do you get over the fear and ruminating thoughts that "it's gunna happen again". How do you keep confidence??
Ah I hope it works out!!!! What was most peaceful for me was knowing that although I want a VBAC so bad, the real ultimate goal was to know I did my best and gave myself the best chance at it but that there are plenty of things out of my control and I have to let them go and realize the outcome is gonna be what’s it’s gonna be! I believed that would give me the best chance at what we really want which is healthy baby AND healthy mom. The fears were always in the back of my mind but I knew it was possible! Listening to every VBAC link episode was most helpful in getting over the fears for me. Good luck you got this!!!!!
I had an emergency c section last june but it was challenging, the pain etc but it was not horrible. My post-partum recovery went very fast I heal very fast less than 2 weeks and I'm so grateful for this. It was my first pregnancy but for my second pregnancy I hope / I want a VBAC. Fingercross.
