She gives off a natural nurturing vibe, she's so sweet and wholesome and while I've been over the moon for all the girls there's something special about Katherine that's always truly touched my heart. Yep, there's a total of 4 babies in 2021 and including baby Barrett but he was born last year so there's 5 babies in the family and McKinley and Paisley are kids so there's more babies than kids

The best advice I can give you, as a twin myself, is to let your babies be themselves without pulling them apart or forcing them together. My mother tried really hard to make my twin sister and I "unique", she kept on repeating we were different people etc cause she thought twins that were identical all the way were "ridicule" but that lead my sister and I really scared to share anything in common... even hobbies, clothes, toys etc we could not bare sharing cause we thought it was "bad" cause we should be different, right? But at the same time I know twins that were dressed the same way, given the same toys etc and the adults weren't paying attention to their desires, interests etc and were scared to make them jealous so they would always get the same treatment and gifts... which sucks cause they are different. Good luck hahaha (but twins are the best so..)

I am a quadruplet (twin times two), my mom got an ultrasound early as well and she was shocked to see 4 babies, she had a sea section at 31 weeks, after that she had a pulmonary embolism and almost died! By the grace of God she recovered and now 14 years later we are still learning and growing all the time!!! You have my prayers!!
To be fair, most teens aren’t tracking their cycle so they don’t realize not to have sex when they are most fertile. Katherine and Max are devout Catholics so they most likely practice Natural Family Planning which is super effective for preventing/getting pregnant
I was 22 and had an oops pregnancy on the first time with my kids dad. And I track my cycle religiously. I feel part of it is the stress of trying and getting your hopes up. Obviously there are other factors. But adding that extra stress doesn't help either. In my unprofessional observational opinion

As someone who dealt with infertility for years and finally being blessed with our son, no matter how long or short you’ve tried to get pregnant, it all hurts the same. The whole journey of pregnancy is a miracle, every single day is a milestone. I’m so happy for you and Max! Pregnancy and motherhood is hard but SO worth it! Congratulations mama! 🤍
I started crying thinking how the time passed since the very first day I say these girls. I waaas very little and I'm 20 now. 10/11 years passed and this is truly making me HAPPY. But like TRULY. As someone with gastroparesis, a partially paralyzed stomach, I totally know the feeling of throwing up at the mere sight of food! You are going to be amazing parents!!! And you are right, God chose you for this and HE will give you the ability to parent two babies at once! I am infertile, so to hear you realize how blessed you are makes me tear up! YES! It totally does! I have a lower range but during my pregnancy I was able to hit notes I hadn’t before & my sister was vice verse when she was pregnant. So weird!!
I’m a twin mom, my kids are 2, and it’s the biggest blessing EVER but it’s very very tiring and trying. I don’t want to sugar coat it for you. The first 6 months are rough. PLEASE ASK FOR HELP. I had the most difficulty with that part until I felt like I just couldn’t go on anymore this way. If you’re someone not used to asking for help start changing that because it was also hard for me to accept I needed help. Although I’m very independent, I was in shock at how hard it was for me to “burden” someone else with my “inadequacy.” I ended up getting a nanny to help me and that was AWESOME. Hope this is helpful you’re in for the BEST time of your life. Twins are the most special beings ever and once your past that super hard first stage it gets soooooo awesome.
I’m 40. My biggest desire was to be a mom. God never gifted me that and I will never have a baby. But today I foster kids. But it’s not the same. I question God so much cause he promised the desires of our hearts. And mine was denied and so I’m so happy for you. I feel this so strong. You’re so blessed kat. So much!!!
The children you foster are blessed to have your motherly love. While you may have not had a baby from your own blood, the children you are fostering are very fortunate to have your love and care that they may have never grew up to know otherwise. I totally appreciate your honesty. I'm 21 weeks and was nauseous so badly until like 17 weeks, and I'm still sick most mornings. And it takes a toll on you physically being sick all the time, but the emotional impact it has had on me was even harder. Knowing that you're going to wake up (if you even sleep through the night to begin with) feeling so so awful day after day is so hard mentally. And the pure fear of being totally responsible for these little beings that sometimes you even wonder if they are there. Thank you for being real and not sugar coating it.. it makes me feel so seen.

I've been following your channel for years, never commented, but now I feel I have to say something. Catherine, you're going to be a wonderful mother. I truly think so. The things you said are so loving, mature but you're also ready to accept whatever comes along. Regarding asking for help, I'm a working mom, I have a toddler, he's two and doesn't sleep through the night, never has. This is tremendously hard but it taught me something important: to know where my limits are and ask for help.
Congrats Kath! I have faith that you're going to be such a good mother. Not because you're going to be perfect and do everything right, but you are SO loving. I met you at a concert one time and you were so nice and deeply compassionate to complete strangers. I remember you went around holding people's hands during you're worth it and you held onto mine a little longer when I wanted to let go. I have yet to be a parent, but I am a twin! So I will give you the advice my mom was given before she had us - put them on the same schedule! If one wakes up in the night to eat, wake the other one up and feed them both. I don't necessarily know if that is common these days (this was 23 years ago) but she lived by that advice. It was definitely easier to wake up 3 times in the night as opposed to 6, you know? Hope that helps! And congratulations to you on this beautiful blessing! My twin sister is my best friend, they will have a special bond indeed :)

I wonder because I had assumed earlier on that they were identical because they only picked up one embryo baby on the first scan so I assumed the embryo had split into two identical twins.

As someone who dealt with infertility for years and finally being blessed with our son, no matter how long or short you’ve tried to get pregnant, it all hurts the same. The whole journey of pregnancy is a miracle, every single day is a milestone. I’m so happy for you and Max! Pregnancy and motherhood is hard but SO worth it! Congratulations mama! 🤍

YES! It totally does! I have a lower range but during my pregnancy I was able to hit notes I hadn’t before & my sister was vice verse when she was pregnant. So weird!!

I’m a twin mom, my kids are 2, and it’s the biggest blessing EVER but it’s very very tiring and trying. I don’t want to sugar coat it for you. The first 6 months are rough. PLEASE ASK FOR HELP. I had the most difficulty with that part until I felt like I just couldn’t go on anymore this way. If you’re someone not used to asking for help start changing that because it was also hard for me to accept I needed help. Although I’m very independent, I was in shock at how hard it was for me to “burden” someone else with my “inadequacy.” I ended up getting a nanny to help me and that was AWESOME. Hope this is helpful you’re in for the BEST time of your life. Twins are the most special beings ever and once your past that super hard first stage it gets soooooo awesome.
They tried for months, they felt sad, now they will have twins, and when Katherine will bring them out in this world, they would be more than HAPPY

hey I just wanted to say that I'm not religious, and most people I know aren't religious so when a woman can't get pregnant she blames herself, like she thinks that's her fault, but reading this made me feel good for you because, even if you don't accomplish this deep desire, you don't assume the fault and the guilt, because it's literally not your fault, there's nothing wrong with you or any woman with difficulties conceiving, but a lot of women put the pressure on themselves... stay strong, I'm sure you are an amazing foster mom and the child/children you are raising will be the happiest

I totally appreciate your honesty. I'm 21 weeks and was nauseous so badly until like 17 weeks, and I'm still sick most mornings. And it takes a toll on you physically being sick all the time, but the emotional impact it has had on me was even harder. Knowing that you're going to wake up (if you even sleep through the night to begin with) feeling so so awful day after day is so hard mentally. And the pure fear of being totally responsible for these little beings that sometimes you even wonder if they are there. Thank you for being real and not sugar coating it.. it makes me feel so seen.

I've been following your channel for years, never commented, but now I feel I have to say something. Catherine, you're going to be a wonderful mother. I truly think so. The things you said are so loving, mature but you're also ready to accept whatever comes along.
Regarding asking for help, I'm a working mom, I have a toddler, he's two and doesn't sleep through the night, never has. This is tremendously hard but it taught me something important: to know where my limits are and ask for help.
I literally was screaming, crying and laughing at the same time when I found out earlier! I'm so excited!

I have yet to be a parent, but I am a twin! So I will give you the advice my mom was given before she had us - put them on the same schedule! If one wakes up in the night to eat, wake the other one up and feed them both. I don't necessarily know if that is common these days (this was 23 years ago) but she lived by that advice. It was definitely easier to wake up 3 times in the night as opposed to 6, you know? Hope that helps! And congratulations to you on this beautiful blessing! My twin sister is my best friend, they will have a special bond indeed :)
