    There's another factor you didn't mention: uniqueness. If you want to be the only one in your neighborhood or the anyone in your office to have a certain car, this is your car. There's an Audi around every corner. Not Volvo. And that's cool.

    • @Tomm9y
      @Tomm9y 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      More than that, you don't want to be known as an Audi/BMW driver.

      Only about 7,500 V90CCs have been sold in North America since 2017, and another 1,500 V90s. So yeah, this is a relatively uncommon car.

    Volvo truly makes the most comfortable and supportive seats in the business. I rented one back in 2017 - went on a roadtrip with my parents. My mum has a bad back, and after 400 miles and 3hrs of driving nonstop, we all hopped out just as fresh as when we jumped in and most importantly, no back pains for mum! Great car.

    I have that car in that colour!! It’s 6 weeks old and it’s already the best car I’ve had. Being in the UK, I have the B5 Diesel - 235hp and 0-60 in 7.1s. Plenty fast enough and I’m averaging 48 mpg so far. It’s gorgeous - it’s already done 3,500 miles around Europe with space to spare and the most comfortable seats I’ve ever experienced in a car.

    • @gregp.7148
      @gregp.7148 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats! A shame that they don't sell the diesel in North America, as 48 mpg is great without being a hybrid.

    I owned a V90 CC for three years and it's easily my favourite car. The decision making process was never really as complicated as it was made in this video. I saw it and I knew there was no other car for me. I think that's how most of us go for them. It is special, unique, practical. It also comes with remote heater, remote start, various apps you can download... Performance in snow is out of this world. Pilot assist worked really well on long EU trips. It is the last of its kind, unfortunately.

    • @ArneRagnarsson
      @ArneRagnarsson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I shouldn't. But I do. Most people in TH-cam, use a waterbottle. Tape it to the steering wheel, and let the Autopilote do the rest. I just put my Cellphon with the walletcase on the steering wheel. The car thinks you're holding your hand on the steering wheel.

    • @somefuckstolemynick
      @somefuckstolemynick 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArneRagnarsson yeah mate, you really shouldn’t do that. If something were to happen, even if it’s some other idiot (there sure is enough of them out there who can’t drive to begin with) fucking things up for you, and you being just a tad too slow to react.
      God knows I’ve had enough near misses due to other assholes where I’ve been very glad I reacted to it fast enough.

    Just bought the Volvo XC60 B6 AWD R-Design. Test drove about a dozen luxury SUV’s. BMW X3 M40 was faster, but nobody makes a more comfortable and refined feeling cabin than Volvo. Coming from an Audi SQ5, it’s been a noticeable and enjoyable upgrade thus far. I also have two dogs. Haha. Great review!

    I heard that the placement of the engine start knob was an homage to Volvo's now defunct Swedish cousin, Saab. On the old Saabs, the ingnition key slot was indeed in the center console and that's why Volvo put it there...

    Had 2. Both D5. Best cars I ever had, and both probably saved my life. 1st one got t-boned at a crossroads by a Honda SUV that jumped a red light. And a stag deer committed suicide on the passenger side of my 2nd one. I couldn’t risk a 3rd.

    As far as I'm aware all new Volvo with the electronic shifter are now a one click/tap to get into gear. I think when you are tapping it twice and it doesn't work and think you need three is why....over tapping???? I'm not 100% sure but as I own a 2021 Volvo XC40 with the electronic shifter, it does require a double tap to select gears....but now the newest XC40's are advertising a single tap gear shifter as too many people complained.....personally I've never had mine fail or get confused and after a few days it became "natural" as with all new features....testing cars and owning are two different experiences. Also my door are quite heavy/stiff both front and back. I have to use the tip of my shoe down low to finish pushing the door open if hand/hands are full. I'm sure my neighbors laugh at me when I get home with take out....LOL Beautiful car and great review 👍🏼

      @@fredericoamigo I was just at a Volvo dealer test driving a C40 recharge. Holy cow that thing is quick but it's 72/73k. Seems like it's on the high side imo. Same goes for the Polestar 2. Great looking car but once you get AWD and the options it's up there as well. They need to bring a detuned AWD around the 300hp mark. An Audi Q4 progressiv with 300hp is 65k and the ID4 AWD is 58k loaded. Even the Cadillac Lyric is 70k. The vehicle that really intrigues me now is the Fisker Ocean coming later this yr apparently.

    We bought a 2020 V90 CC for our family (before they switched to the google headunit system), and honestly I'd never buy one again. I should have bought a VW Touareg instead. The volvo works 90% of the time, but the infotainment system has glitches, the automatic braking gets triggered by parked cars at the side of the road, the auto-high beams blind plenty of oncoming cars, the electrical systems are extremely difficult to work with if you want to add things like a trailer brake controller or driving lights, and there's no ability to change vehicle settings when you want to change tyre sizes for example. The seats are good but not great - they're on par with what I expect from the category. The right thigh bolster digs into my leg and makes it go numb after about an hour of driving, but aside from they're reasonable. The boot/trunk space is significantly smaller than the older XC70 too, but still pretty big. The car recently threw a "Service Transmission" warning when I drove up over a bump of grass that crossed the vehicle up - something that should be bread and butter for an mild off-road wagon. Only 300mm (12 inches) of wading depth is pretty poor too.
    Also, there's NO APPLE CAR PLAY in the newer cars. That alone would immediately stop me from buying a new one. A car in this price range should have wireless apple car play as standard. Why bother putting a wireless charger in the centre console otherwise?

    Bought a new one brand new. One month after and 2000 km black out. First instrument panel total black out now two days after I cannot even open the car!!! Nothing works. What a bad start!!!

    Hmm. Thanks for this video review. I thought I was sold, but for my $80K I don't want a donut tire and cheap features. I will pass. Still looking.

    I really like this car but the interior really needs a change. Apart from some smaller updates(slightly bigger screens) it's exactly the same as it was 10 years ago. It really doesn't look high end especially with those plastic buttons.

    Speed is limited to 180km/h, so you need more time for long distance rides. Why should anyone buy such car for long distance rides?

      There aren't many places where you can go 180km/hr haha.

      @@ACCELER8TV Frankfurt - Berlin makes a difference of around 90 minutes one way if you drive the recommend speed of 130 km/h or 220 km/h. And you will beat every flight or train in this case. It makes no sence to buy/lease a Volvo in future if you are having longer trips.

      I have owned 2 volvos and out of all cars I ever had in the last 25 years they were the best long distance cars. You just don't feel tired after driving 1000 miles compared to other cars

      @@robertczwartek4709 Than you can take the train and you are even faster than with a Volvo. If you want to be faster as the train you have to drive at least more than 180 km/h

    Die Zeit ist bei Volvo abgelaufen, guten Autos mit Verbrennermotoren zu bauen. Man setzt auf Elektroautos - dieses Konzept wird nie aufgehen. Der V90 nur mit einem armseligen B5 250 PS Motor, bei so einem Gewicht zu betreiben - schade!

      Зачем говорить о том что не знаете. Я ездил на v90cc долго. Она лучшая на сегодня в своей архитектуре.
