when you make the cuts, always think of how you would weld the cut back together. cut where it is easiest to weld especially the top weld because that is the most difficult
Thanks for sharing the video. I really like how you show it. I come here mainly to see the welding part, but the spark hides it all. I am going to do mine soon, if I decide to do it myself. The hardest part probably is the top. I probably would clean the metal before putting the new piece on, because I think it's easier that way, and so that it's shiny on top. I probably would try with a mirror to see the weld. Having a lift is awesome. Thank you again.
30 minutes can't be done , his way is completely wrong and exhaust leak will kill you by carbon dioxide when car running , nowadays youtuber has to lie to get viewers
I have leak on my flex connector from converter so i wrapped it fiber flex wrap however now it has a bigger hole.so instead of smoke leaking its leaks oily gas any advice to fix it can I replace it flex connector or do it need new converter
What kind of car? Fiber Fix does have a weakness when it comes to leaking oil... however it seems you have some bigger problems going on. I would recommend figuring out the oil leak/gas leak. You probably have a dead plug/ignition coil causing the gas and oil getting into your exhaust vs. Being burned. Then you can replace the flex pipe with a new one.
@@GarageMahalLife infinitiy fx35 2003 oh yes I can smell gas then I look under by my converter I see drops of I say oil color is black. But smell of gas.used a fiber heat wrap. So your saying a dead coil plug how is the car still starting its 6cylinder I have slow oil leak I'm guessing valve cover pan is fine. Thanks for advice I will do some investigating thanks
@@jarroddurant2407 If you can smell gas, you have a dead plug, coil or both, maybe more than 1... your cats may not be getting to temp and gunk has built up too...
Great job.. I am watching from Iraq❤❤
Thank you for watching and commenting :)
Can we talk about the room before the garage? Its awesome
Of course! It is our Arcade room and is 30x25, Star Wars and video game themed... with a sauna. :)
Thank you!
I can't get clean weld without leak. Not sure if I wanna use sealant. Couldn't really see the top of the pipe.
The cement has helped me pass many a car on emissions tests.

You have a finish aftername?sauna is must in every house, greetings from Finland.
My grandparents had one and I carry on the tradition! I love being Finish!
Nice Job, what kind of arc welder is that?
I feel like a welding hack... 😆 but thank you. It is one of those $99 Harbor Freight welders 😉
@@GarageMahalLife Thankyou for showing me the right tool to use.
Any way to do maintenance to that part, like spray wd40 or other thing?
It will get as hot as the exhaust, however cleaning mud and dirty off it can help extend its life.
How much would this cost if I got it done at a body shop?
Few hundred to replace the flex pipe at a regular repair shop.
By the time you cut this flex pipe. I've already. Welder one in I'm making a TH-cam Chanel now
😉
