I hope that since they’re remaking the first one(and likely the second), they redo this completely, I like some of the themes and ideas but obviously it didn’t turn out right. So it’d be cool if they take those ideas and themes and make something original. I love the concept of aliens running a food chain. Take that idea and make it bigger, give the furons an intergalactic motive rather than an earthly one. Idk. Run with it, just don’t make it like this... ... and bring the original VA’s back.
To be fair, as to why it has smaller sandboxes, it was supposed to be a PS2/ PSP/ Wii title. In 2008. Even if the PS2 and Wii could have handled bigger locals, I think the PSP version held it back, and with that version being cancelled late in, it left them with not much choice.
Just bought a wii just to play this game. DAH 1 and 2 were two of my favorite childhood games. I quit gaming around the time DAH 3 and this came out but now I am getting back into it and gonna give it a try. The controls are rough but the story is cool and it is cool they made this game for the wii even tho it wasnt as polished as it should have been
@@Jakedman21 I do get the criticisms but I actually don't mind the other voices. I think they suit the characters pretty well. I also find the comedy really funny and the back and forth between Crypto, Pox and the other characters they interact with, along with the music and interesting locations (Despite being limited), more than make up for the shortcomings but even then, I still enjoy the gameplay. It's interesting that some fans don't count this as the third title, more of a spin off, even though it references the past games and gets referenced itself in the sequel. I'll proudly call it the third game even if it gets a bad rap.
As far as I'm able to tell, BWU is considered non-canon and is acknowledged more for the sake of meta-humor or nods than actual canon. Some of the stuff, like Crypto's clone number and his son, were never really picked back up on later, and I think THQ themselves took this one as a spinoff (justifying it with the weirdness of it and the fact that it's on Wii). I don't like this one much, and I think it's so low-stakes and wonky that it just doesn't really fit with the series...at least, not in my opinion. That said, I'm glad some can enjoy it and if nothing else I hope my reviews helped them find the games.
To be honest I've played both DAH 2 and DAH BWU ans i preferred BWU but thats probably because i played it when i was a kid and it was my favorite game and still is, Afterward i got DAH 2 on ps4 because i was a fan of BWU and found that DAH 2 was a little deferent and by that i mean the pk ability wasn't as fun as BWU do to it being controlled by joysticks and not the wii remote. I havent finished DHA 2 and it makes a while that i bought it but I did finish DAH BWU 3 times because i found it so good and the third time being TODAY, the only thing is that BWU is a very short game with missions that last from 5-10 minutes and alround the main story took me 4 and a half hours to finish. All this just to say that BWU is different then DAH 2 but in a good way. PS. Not having big willy (the robot) in DAH is a downer for me but you know thats because BWU came out after DAH 2.
I'll be replaying the series to reexamine it on the channel in the coming months so I'll be very interested to see how the series will go in my mind re-reviewing them all.
+Kenniron To do end screens, you'll have to open up TH-cam on your phone's Google Chrome browser in desktop mode (or on a computer, of course), and then click Edit and you'll be able to set it up there. For the logos, some images are formatted with a transparent background already, but for others you'll need to use Chroma Key (in PowerDirector you can only do that with overlayed clips/images) and pick the background color to remove with Chroma Key. That'll make the image have a transparent background, although be careful, since Chroma Key may remove some color from the image itself. As for the Filthy Frank thing, that's a green screen clip from his second channel, TooDamnFilthy, so you just overlay that over your footage (like you would with a picture) in the app and use Chroma Key to remove the green background, allowing you to put whatever you want behind it. You may need to update your app for Chroma Key, though. I had to update to get it. It's free though, no problem.
