Here’s the point - don’t just make stuff up. You guys seem to know almost nothing about cars in general or the specific car you are showing and it comes through.
380 RWHP is about 425 brake horsepower. The Factory Five Daytona weighs only 2,300 lb. That's equivalent to about 700 horsepower in a 3800 pound Mustang.
@@GastonRossato actually about 445 crank which is about what the new mustang puts stock. They seem to weight between 2300-2900 depending on ac/carpet/transmissio/motor etc its more like a 5-550 rwhp car. id be curious to see the power in comparison to the 427 they put in the car orginally
I sat in one of the six in the early nineties, old man in Paradise Valley AZ. Who drove a VW bug for a daily driver Rented his house out to my boss and showed him where the key was to his two eight car garages, so I got a tour.
Man, I'm partially blind, and even I'd love to own this car! Do they offer a kit to update this with more creature comforts like sound-dampening insulation or real side windows? Thanks!
I love this car. however, I can see some issue with the body not lining up in a few places, like the hood area and the doors. The gaps are huge. Not the end of the world and can be fixed.
@@raidersrideordie I'm not bashing them. Like I said, "it's no the end of the world and can be fixed." I love this car, and would still buy it. Just pointing out what I saw, that's all. Most people wouldn't know what to look for.
I owned on for 3 years. Absolutely incredible sound with accelerating…. But, it was the most unreliable car I ever owned. Even after 3 years of endless towing and repairs, I was so glad to get rid of it…
AC was the British company that built the car that the Shelby Cobra was based on. The AC Ace. Carroll Shelby replaced the AC inline six engine with a Ford V8 and the Shelby Cobra was born. Shelby needed an aerodynamic body for the Cobra to be competitive at Le Mans so he had Peter Brock design a new body for the Cobra and the world was gifted with one of the best looking cars of all time, the Daytona Coupe. Or maybe it was for more practical and pleasure driving.
Ole buddy thinks a 4.7 liter is a “427”... Doesn’t even know the weight of the car or really any other of the specs that we would consider relevant or important, like, are y’all even fkn car guys??? *edit* amd the original car was a 289 ci high rpm race motor from Ford that Carol Shelby tuned to wind out all the way to over 8000 rpms and make power all the way there.. cmon guys I’m a peasant street commoner when it comes to car knowledge and I know more about this car than y’all like tf??
@@BradThePitts I own a CSX9000 Shelby Daytona and the factory five version has all the wrong body lines and dimensions the only one that looks anything like the original car is the one designed by Peter Brock ie the CSX9000 🙂
Original engine was a 4.7L 289, the 427 was never used in the Daytona although they were testing a super coupe with the 427 but was never completed.
Thanks for sharing

Boddylindsey7285: check you comment, check your comment not sure that is true!
@@bradpaca It's true that the Daytona coupe used 289 engine. The Super Coupe was completed to the point of being a running car, but never raced.

Yes, that’s exactly how it felt lol

Sweet!
Only American car to ever win the
World Manufacturers Championship.
True
Won Lemans in the GT class!
And ended Ferrari’s winning streak
Very well done guys. Besides of the quality work with the production you both are the cool factor + the passion for metal and power.
Aw man thank you. We appreciate your support
This car is wildddd!!! You guys are getting a hold of bad ass cars! Keep up the good work and consistency 🔥🔥
Thanks amigo!
I saw the ORGINAL BLUE one in Philly. The museum curator drove around the lot with my friend in the passenger seat amazing car.
Y’all guys did an awesome Job on this Daytona video! Love it.
Thank you Arthur!
Another nice car! Good filming as well, nice job
Thank you!
The level of my envy is overwhelming . 460F100 sixtyfive
Hey, there's even an ASSETTO CORSA logo on the steering wheel ... 😆 Well, that's at least where I can get my hands on that lovely machine.

Awesome car, sounds so good. Great video guys.
The original factory cars had 289s not 427s.
Thank you

Dude, chill out and comment on the positives, they out way negatives immensely! They obviously said they just received the acquisition! Jees........

It's the baddest car on the planet second only to its predecessors .
Great vid for a great car.
Thank you!
I'd love to see a Boss 302 or 351 in one of those
Please ditch the twin stripes on the rear. Part of the Daytona's design is a split cove. Respect history.
the whole point of building a replica kit car is so you can make it your own without messing with the originals
Imagine being a purist over a kit car. Let him do whatever he wants
Be weird if this was the real peter brock.
Is this the original Pete Brock? Id be surprised if he cared about the paint. Original designer
I like the Super performance Daytona coupe better with the Weber carbs!
My Dream car.👍👍👍👍👍
I can see why! Cheers
4:54 A 4.7 is not a 427 🤦🏼♂️ he was correct though, it had the Ford 289
Love it have to have it
..what''s with that body gap..2:28?

Can a 6'5" guy fit in one?
Why does it have AC on the steering wheel?
The idea behind must have been for more practical and pleasure driving
AC was the British company that built the car that the Shelby Cobra was based on. The AC Ace. Carroll Shelby replaced the AC inline six engine with a Ford V8 and the Shelby Cobra was born. That car looks roomy.
Factory Adobe makes the cars with more room for modern people.
do you think someone who is about 6'1 or 6'2 could fit with some minor seat swap/modification? Or is it doable as is?
We’re both over 6 foot. Plenty of space to spare!
Factory Five makes them larger then the original.
you can barely call this a review... Guys should try to push out more information than what you've shared.

The factory five body mould looks nothing like a daytona coupe 🤷🏻♂️
What car do you think it resembles?
