This piggies 🐷 are like little puppies, wait for you by the door of your house in the morning . Didn't run away but stayed close by .😅 . And then trotted beside you back. So cute 😍
Can’t tell you how much my brother and I enjoyed this opportunity that y’all made possible! Lorraine is amazing and so kind to gift us with the squash seeds after she and Penelope fed us deiiciousness from Sow the Land! Love y’all and hope to join other workshop opportunities ❣️
Thank you for sharing your hoop coop building class with us. Everyone is enjoyed the class because the homesteading community is the best‼️ Congratulations on a successful class for helping others become more self reliant.♥️👏
Have to say , your barn looks very clean and organised . And it's lovely to see Penelope always helping and being part what you as a family are doing ❤ Great job everybody 👏 Tap yourselves on a shoulder.
Very kewl! It is a lot of fun watching your homesteading journey. I love that you have been sharing your skills by doing workshops! What a great learning and networking opportunity for everyone
I love those pigs. Isn’t funny how those babies come up by the house to great you. They crack me up. I’d attend a cooking class with Lorraine. Some of those dishes she makes look so delicious. Think about it Lorraine….cooking with Lorraine on the homestead.
I think with all that thick hair/fur on those pigs in order to brush them really well so they can satisfy the itch you’d need a wire brush! Lol! The little pigs sure are growing and my goodness they are so adorable! Is it not time to put momma pig back in with Zeke? I think he could use some companionship. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁
Zeke is so spoiled 😂He always a good pig . Elvira and the babies are trouble makers one of those little piggy was spiffy anyway😂😂. Great video always 👍🏽
I ‘ve❤ watching you guys’ progress over the years...such great teachers too. Zeke and the crew are mellow and chill. But I miss seeing the Bernices and Fuzzy Muggins 😂
Looks like everyone worked hard to get the coop built. Nice to see some other ladies out there doing it and making it happen. Congratulations to all the winners!
I really enjoy your videos; great videography and a relaxed approach to sharing your homesteading methods! All participants at the workshop looked like they were having a great experience.
A diy dolley/tool cart for the pig stuff would be interesting to design. Some thing cheap that can stay outside, hold the fencing and pans or buckets and energizers at least temporarily for the daily moves, something that could pick up the pig hut to help drag it to the next spot. If the dolley could hold the solar panel or maybe a secondary panel a bit higher it would gain a few extra minutes of charging for the winter months when the angles change.
Very interesting! I have a couple of questions. What is that pole bending thing called and where do you buy it? Also, what are those poles made of? Is it electrical conduit?
I love watching the coop classes everyone has lots of fun...hopefully they all get a bernice for their coops...jason your kune kunees are stinking cute I would love them to greet me of a morning...
I love you guys! And I love your pigs! We looked at some Kunekune here in our area in California and they looked nothing like yours. We decided to pass. Hoping to raise pigs ourselves someday.
My tip is pay attention to the rpms of the chainsaw. Don't try to use a homeowner chainsaw to mill a 24 inch diameter leaning dry white pine. Just because it has a longer bar. Don't mean its rotating the chain fast enough. Just trying to use the white pine that has been there leaning since I bought the property. Looked like someone took a fill to the piston. Was only a 66 cc engine. Around 5000 rpm. Should have around a 90 cc and 10000 rpms. I gotta mill it there no way to get it up the ridge without cutting it into smaller pieces.
My folks raised a few Kunekune back home in NZ, Dad let me choose and raise a piglet, I named him Darth Vader I loved that little bloke, I took him out moving our sheep one day, and he loved it, he retired from sheep herding at 5 years old, I buried him a year later. I swear he was so clever, cleverer than my Dads $2K ea Border Collies 😅
Over at "Cog Hill Farm" they have two pigs Loretta and Gus that Jason says are KuneKune, but Loretta might be the ugliest pig alive and yours are pretty piggies. Have you seen Cog Hill's pair? If so, Kune or no? LoL Zeke is such a ham.
I will have 8 week old kune kunes and I don't use the net I run 2 strands electric braided wire and they don't test it anymore they got hit once and they will run right to it and they smash their brakes lol
@@SowtheLand I know you move yours more then I move mine though so you basically need the fencing I just pull out those post and move it around then re put them up with them all under my feet
Yes! Pigs ARE training you well. ❤️🤗
Just passing through helping the algorithm! Love y’all’s content !

Wish I could have made this class - hopefully next time! good work everyone 🙂Jason- can we buy the plans??
Great job. Looks good. What size tarp do you use for the hoop style? I know on the suscovich top its 10×14. Just wondering if that changed? Thanks
