Since it's Christmas season, it would be the perfect time to react to 'This is Christmas' official MV, a collaboration by Morissette and Ben Adams of the British Boyband A1. Welcome back to Mori, Ryan and Cindy. Mori and Dave dropped quality content while you were away. Regarding Pagbigyang Muli it is a male ballad but the songwriter and Adonis(Bass) her Musical director rearranged to sound r'n'b-ish and modern. There was 5 songs in the session and these were the songs she released in between Signature and From the Sea EP . Keep up the great work guys.

Hello, Ryan and Cindy. It's December 2023, it"s the most wonderful time of the year, to borrow the line of a song, and welcome back to Morissette. 🥰
Morissette and her team, husband Dave, music director Adonis Tabanda (on bass guitar), and the other band members, as well as her glam team, did a one-day shoot of five songs -- "Imagine More", "Colour Everywhere", "Waterwalk", "Pagbigyang Muli", and "Power" -- and released each of them weekly throughout November until first week of December.
It may be noted that the first and last songs are both her originals, written by Disney songwriters, and Kiko Salazar, respectively.
"Power", the finale song of this live performance video series, is such an anthematic song for Morissette, who is a woman and she's got the power, like all the women out there, like Cindy, our own wives, mothers, sisters, etc. In this song, she's able to showcase her vocal prowess and amazing breath control, like sustaining those belts, and, as you pointed out, being able to key change mid-breath. What we like also about this is we can see her genuine joy and having a lot of fun performing, such as that cute gesture she did on "i am a woman" 🥰
"Pagbigyang Muli" was written by Jonathan Manalo some 20 years ago, it was originally sung by Erik Santos and included in his debut album in 2004. Erik, if you remember, was with Morissette and Christian Bautista in their "Threelogy" concert tour series there in the US post-pandemic. He also performed this on the Wish Bus, you might wanna check it out as well. For Jonathan's 20th year in the music industry, he made new arrangement to the song and he chose Morissette to interpret this remake. Nice of you to look out for the English translation, so you can understand and appreciate it better. You are correct, it's a "repentant's song" asking for forgiveness and second chance, and we can notice Mori is not smiling throughout the song because she is conveying the emotions and message of the song.

Pagbigyang Muli was originally sung by a male singer (I believe it was Erik Santos). Evidently, Morissette’s cover is way more difficult to emulate because she is no ordinary singer. To Erik’s credit, as a listener you can tell the sadness and angst of someone who just lost his love but then also wants to be taken back because of the mistake he had done. Thus, both singers captivated the emotion of the song.
