I thought this was going to be a blooper video. I was ready for some chuckles but instead got serious analysis of a sport I don’t follow. I still watched the whole thing and enjoyed it. Thumbs up.
I am glad to see this video. I bowled in the Munster Lanes Classic league in 1983 when Eugene was 16 and just started with the big boys. He never threw the ball that hard as the shot was a 4th arrow block shot. I just turned 74 and my team shot 3569 and was third high in the league.😊
The Right Lane, That was an awesome Video on the Worst Moments of Eugene McCune. Also, the 2 Moments that stood out were The Title Matches of the 1993 Pba National Championship and the 2007-2008 Motor City Classic. Also, I am looking forward to the next best or worst moment Video from the Bowlers from the past Seasons on the Pba Tour.
Eugene McCune is fun to watch but he reminds me of that league bowler who is rough around the edges and not smooth and refined at all in ball delivery, posting shots and etc. He whips it which leads him not getting many titles but fun to watch regardless.
Actually bothers me this guy made it to the pba. His son as well. I see a bunch of people in the alley cranking it as hard as they can at the pocket. No skill just counting on luck.
As a lifelong bowler of more than 60 years and as a Brunswick mechanic and lane man I take the position that you don't need to throw the ball that hard. A bit less speed will leave more pins on the deck to potentially take out other pins. It's also less wear and tear on the body.
No shit, Brian was a textbook roller, the most consistent and energy efficient pro I knew. I beat Brian at a regional back in the day for a $10 side bet. (little claim to fame) He's was the kind of guy you wanted to hate, but you really can't because he was actually really funny and cool....the ladies at the bar later were throwing themselves at him like he was a dartboard too.
Because of his loft and speed, his ball loses some grip with the lane. McCune should consider preparing his ball for tournaments by soaking it in a solvent which softens the surface of his ball. I wonder if he knows anyone who could help him with that?
Palombi did NOT win $300,000 in that event. Eugene made a show in 1997 where he looked absolutely unbeatable until throwing a gutter which completely derailed him. Surprised that wasn’t on this list. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/3XCRZRy4aEw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1WDUMIsPfchIXnqV
spoiler alerts the 2012 cheetah was not on TV, it was on Xtra TV, the bull crap program just like flo bowling and bowl TV, just like the 300 game we can't find, when liz johnson scored one in 2021, and to this day, there's no footage of mccune last win, for god knows why.
From what I've read, Eugene has made 15 TV appearances. So not a lot to work with. edit - Other video ideas I've thrown out Best moments of Danny Wiseman (which I'm biased to because he's from Maryland). Highest scoring matches in PWBA history (including the old PWBA/LPBT tour).
Champion Pete's misses are due to off balance over speed throws. I do this every time. That's why I have a 110 handicap. I watch the ball speed indicator to control my throws and it worked to improve bad throws.(My controlled speed is about 12mph. Too slow for pros but for me is all right).
I've been watching bowling on TV for 31 years, and bowling myself for longer than that, and I've never heard anyone (in person or on TV) refer to a bowling score in "points". Must be one of those regional differences.
@@shawnaeby7220 The term pins is slang for points. Sure, that’s what people say, but, scores are measured in points. I realize people aren’t going to stop using the term; I was half-joking.
Would love to see a best and worst of Robert Smith!!!

Whenever i feel bad about my lack of balance at the line ill just watch this video

PBA National Champs in 93 was a 300k purse. Palombi probably won around 60k for first place.

Every league has a bowler like him. When they are on, they are on. However, add some oil and watch their scores plummet.
Actually bothers me this guy made it to the pba. His son as well. I see a bunch of people in the alley cranking it as hard as they can at the pocket. No skill just counting on luck.
It has to be said though, what incredible power he has.

Ron Polambi Jr Erie PA. Good guy. Had a nice career. Id like to see you do a video on him
Eugene is my PSO, great guy; has given me some helpful advice and pointers since I started bowling 18 months ago…Kevin as well 👍
1:43 "F*** that lane... f*** that lane."
4:14 "You gotta be f***ing kidding me."
That sounds like Pete Weber...
You did Eugene, now we need Kevin. If he has 5 best moments? Oh well, love watching Nuke!
It’s incredible how bad he throws the ball yet scores 😂
@The Right Lane. I would like to see a worst EJ Tacket moments. I know he's had a rough past but I would like to look more into it.
Those pins gets nervous when this guy picks up a ball.
HE DID IT LETS GOOOOO!!!
A clip of Tony Reyes' greatest moments would be interesting.
Best and worst of Brian Voss would be good videos as well. Made a lot of tv shows and won 20 or so titles.
No shit, Brian was a textbook roller, the most consistent and energy efficient pro I knew.

Best of David Ozio? I always love watching his game
$300,000 was the total prize fund, not the winner’s share.
Speed of Robert smith but with much less revs
What pins were they using in 2004?they sound terrible
Brunswick Max Pins, made by Vulcan
WOw. He looked out of control at the line on his best days.
can you do norm duke please
Norm!
Nice!❤🎉😊
What's Eugene's mph?
mach 1.2

we used to call that "Blasting through the break"

Right on Enigma. I remember watching that on your channel. Lost to Tommy Baker
I re-watched that show and it turns out the famous original Norm Duke towel shot on the fill ball was in a loss to Eugene.
The best of Earl Anthony

Kevin follows perfectly in his father's steps, literally
Least Kevin can keep his balance and don't fall off his shot like Eugene post high rate of speed.
Kevin throws a much nicer ball than his father.
What about old Tony Westlake?
I’d like to see the best and worst of Parker Bohn, Bob Benoit, Jess Stayrook, or anyone else from the 80’s/90’s
Parker was an azzhole personally, arrogant as hell on-the-lane shit talker back in the day.

Danny Wiseman went to funky haircuts 💇♂️
Take a look at ray bleuth not sure if spelling or Norm Duke
Ray Bluth. Contemporary of Don Carter.
Walter ray Eugene and butch saved my arm

would love to see the worst of osku palermaa
Why do these people focus on players' bad shots and bad days .
Need a ciminelli video
I liked him and his son had a GREAT year last year. Not so much this year. Older McCune just fired the ball!
When did you see Don McCune bowl? He is famous for the soaker. Back in the 70's when you hooked the ball 5 boards.
I want to see this announcer bowl
Pete weber
He falls off every shot…literally every shot.
Worst of Ronnie Russel?
My god, how devastating
Points, not pins. Scores are in points. You should stop saying pins. 😊 🎳
How to tell us you don’t bowl without telling us you don’t bowl.
old school lingo, still legit.
@@aaronmorris1513 Wrong. I bowl.
