    I do it the same way you do, alternator last. Mine is a 97 ford F350 crew-cab with the 7.3L powerstroke. I could never get it on the tensioner last.

    Another case of a part being sold that doesn't fit. Good catch on your part. Ah yes, I do miss the sound of a Duramax diesel. I miss the torque too. Good to see you post again Mike.

    You can always down the road Mike buy a bearing and put it in the old Pully if you like

      I'll be honest never replaced a bearing in a tensioner pulley. May do that just for experimentation purposes!

    Have you had any issues with that aftermarket tensioner Mike Dosen't seem as Stout as the orginal

      Not aftermarket straight from GM dealership.

      and no it doesnt look like the original one I had on my vehicle. a different design for sure. One reason I didnt buy one on line because it looked different than the one I was replaceong but so does OEM.

    I know from experience, from the first squeak to full lock up and a smoked belt is about 10 seconds.
