man!! I would love to have a 6 foot coffin shelf with at least 5 to 6 shelves made for a day of the dead alter.. I wish I knew someone who's got skills for this kind of project.
I dig this man, I been getting into working for the past year or so and this kinda thing had been in my mind, I think im going to scale it down some to spice rack size, but thanks for the inspiration.
Do I have a method for no power tools? I have never built anything before and I have no power tools. I am having trouble finding a prebuilt one that is the right size and not overpriced, ty
Yes. You can make all of the cuts using a handsaw and use a hammer and nails to connect the pieces. It's a simple design and will just take longer to do with hand tools.
I would love to pay someone to build me an awesome shelf like this, painted black with green on the inside! Wonder where I can have someone make one for me for when I get my new home this spring!!!
What would you use in place of a staple/nail gun? It's like the one tool between my husband and I that we don't have. Lol I'm trying to make something about half this size as a medicine cabinet.
Interesting how at 6:48 the coffin bottom turns into a rectangle, the edges are no longer at an angle.... So that does not match the finished product that is in the beginning of the video.....
So I’m trying to get the plans downloaded from your site but the link isn’t taking me to the coffin plans and I can’t search or find it on your site. Please help I am planning on building this with my dad tomorrow
Love how there's not a single measurement listed or talked about
He gives the measurements right away but no it needs to be written somewhere for sure!!
My favorite part too

Ever get someone to make one for you?
What nail gun are you using??
Timely. Thanks for sharing.
+WoodRodent Thanks!
I LOVE. I wish I was a bit technical. I want this.
Nice job
+Miter Mike's Woodshop Thank you sir, and thanks for the sticker!
it could have been a little more descriptive of how you get all those angles idk how to build stuff i like it though!
Right, doesn't show any measurements at all...
Because he wants you to buy his 4$ plan for it.
Hi I was wondering what would be the measurement conversion if you were to be making this shape but only 24inch or 60cm tall
Would’ve been nice if you shown what degrees you used on the miter saw
You can find all that information on my website: funwithwoodworking.com/product/coffin-shaped-shelf-unit/
looks good!
+ewing1rj Thanks a lot!

A hammer and thin nails should work just as well.
@@FunWithWoodworking awesome! Thank you!
Looks great, and just in time for Halloween, take care Harry
Thank you sir. I should have made it a couple of weeks earlier but it was a last minute idea.

Hey he's back!
+Jim Beshears Yes sir!
Do you have the measurements for this? And what kind of wood and tools did you use?
It's made out of cedar fence pickets and plywood. You can get all of the dimensions here: funwithwoodworking.com/product/coffin-shaped-shelf-unit/

You can type coffin in the search bar at the top of the site or try this link: funwithwoodworking.com/product/coffin-shaped-shelf-unit/
Just in time for Halloween. Nice build, Donald. Thanks for the video.
+KSFWG Thanks man! I'm glad you like it.
How did you get those angles ?
I laid the boards on top of the plywood and marked them with a pencil. I then adjusted the blade to match the pencil mark.
can tell literally almost nobody i the comment section has touched a tape measure. he doesn’t talk ab a single measurement the whole time 🤣
i want this shelf
Good Project hope its for Halloween and not to put the missus in ha ha. Take Care, Barry from England.
+Barry Roberts Not for my wife, but I think that her mother could fit in it....
Would of been a better video if you explained what you were doing. Or gave measurements... something . Smh
So ungrateful. Fill in the blanks maybe? He literally gives a whole visual tutorial.
Who what’s that
