    Summary(Important Points)
    S. Yusuf 45-49: The Dream Interpreted
    قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَٰثُ أَحْلَٰمٍۖ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَأْوِيلِ ٱلْأَحْلَٰمِ بِعَٰلِمِينَ
They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams."
    Yusuf 12, Ayah 44.
    1. The king uses the word "RU'YA" which is singular and means "seeing" or "vision". The ministers use "AHLAAM" which is plural and means "imagined", it can also mean a nightmare. Both the words have different root words.
    2. Also, since "RU'YA" is singular, it means that the king thinks that all the things he saw are connected to one idea. The ministers use the word "AHLAAM" which refers to "multiple scattered images" meaning that they don't think it is connected to any idea.
But the one who was freed and remembered after a time said, "I will inform you of its interpretation, so send me forth." Yusuf 12, Ayah 45.
    3. "IZZAKARA" was originally the word "IZTAZAKARA" means to put very little effort in remembering. Interestingly, the Arabs changed the word from "IZTAZAKARA" to "IZZAKARA" to put very little effort in pronouncing the word( for easy pronunciation of the word).
    4. "UMMAH" means "nation" but it can also mean "time". So it is like "after many years", years because Allah already told us that Yusuf(AS) was going to be in jail for many years ["BIZ'AA SINEEN" (many years)].
    5. The cup bearer says "I" twice to give emphasis, like without him, they would never get the interpretation.
    6. The cup bearer had the best opportunity to mention Yusuf(AS) but he didn't do that. In fact, when he finally remembered him(AS), other motivations came and he kept silent. He wanted to make seem like he is the one who did all the work, but actually Yusuf(AS) did, he wanted to get all the credit.
    7. Sometimes, we help people and then they take all the credit. That is why, when we help someone we should not expect anything in return from them, expect the return from Allah.
[He said], "Joseph, O man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry - that I may return to the people; perhaps they will know [about you]." Yusuf 12, Ayah 46.
    8. When manipulative people want to use you, they compliment you with the best words possible, it is like flattering.
    9. Also, the cup bearer says "us" not "me" because he knows that Yusuf(AS) wants good for the community. But he lied because he is not going back to the community, he is going back to the king. Lying has many forms and hiding some part of the truth is also a form of lying.
    10. When something serves his purpose, he remembers it perfectly but if it doesn't he forgets, conveniently.
    11. When you think about the community, their worldly well being immediately presides. That is why there is no condition that when you help someone worldly, you should do "DA'WAH" first.
[Joseph] said, "You will plant for seven years consecutively; and what you harvest leave in its spikes, except a little from which you will eat. Yusuf 12, Ayah 47.
    12. When Yusuf(AS) says "You will cultivate", he(AS) is putting an authoritative command that the word "Cultivate!" won't put. It is like it is a matter of fact, giving an assurance like for sure they will cultivate.
    13. Also, "the little" shows that the food will be plenty, but you have to eat only little. In fact, "little from what you eat" so very, very little.
Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store.
    Yusuf 12, Ayah 48.
    14. Sometimes, we use time as if it is a person. Similarly, Yusuf(AS) said, the seven difficult years will consume what you saved for them.
    ثُمَّ يَاۡتِىۡ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ عَامٌ فِيۡهِ يُغَاثُ النَّاسُ وَفِيۡهِ يَعۡصِرُوۡنَ
"Then will come after that a year in which the people will be given rain and in which they will press [olives and grapes]." Yusuf 12, Ayah 49.
    15. The king's dream didn't say anything about the 15th year, but Allah revealed it to Yusuf(AS).
    16. "YUGHAASU" is from the same root word as "ISTEGHAASA" which means perfect rain. Rain that is just right.
    17. After there is a drought, it takes some time for the climate to come back to what it was. But here, the next year(after the drought) it comes back to normal, in fact better than normal, like heaven on earth.
    18. When it comes to an individual, they should spend the extra resources in the better way. But when it comes to a community, we should be prepared for the worst, we should save extra resources and anticipate the worst outcome.
    19. Sometimes, people copy your work and take all the credit, but they are promoting you without realizing.
    20. Also, the cup bearer didn't tell Yusuf(AS) that it was the king who got the dream, but it looks like he(AS) still knew.
    21. People with power should take responsibility and use the resources that they have carefully.
    This ends the summary.
Apologies for the font size of the Ayah, if you see it in the mobile phone then it is big enough to read.
Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Ustad Nouman Ali Khan talked about it so that I can be sure.
    JazakaAllah Khair

In the history of Islam, it's never been about big numbers, small numbers have always been significant. In Makkah, the Muslims were a small number of people, that's why at Badr, they were only about 300 ppl. Additionally not everyone subscribes. I have been listening to Ustaadh for several years but only subscribed this year. It's not about the numbers we see. Guidance is from الله سبحانه و تعالى

I agree, if only people understood the value of these precious videos! It’s 1 million now, but it’s not about the numbers anyway. Even if one person is guided and implements these lessons in their life, that’s what matters. And even though there’s 1M subscribers, look how many actually take the time to watch, and how many from that lot would actually take the lessons and implement in their lives.. may Allah make us among those who truly live upon the Quranic lessons aameen..

@@anonymousgirl8706 Yahsua / Jesus / Isa is God In the Qur'an (Part 1)
The Qur'an has many passages that show that Jesus (Isa) displays many attributes of Allah - that Jesus is God:
      1) Allah can speak in parables (Surah 24:35; Surah 14:25). Jesus speaks in parables in the Bible that no other prophet ever told (Matthew 13:34, 35; Psalms 78:2; Isaiah 6:9, 10).
      2) Allah will return on the clouds on the Last Day (Surah 2:210). Jesus will return on the clouds (Revelation 1:7; Mark 13:26; Acts 1:9-11; Daniel 7:13).
      3) Allah will judge mankind (Surah 6:57; Surah 7:87). El-Bokhary explained that he heard from Ibn Abbas, who had heard the Prophet Mohammed saying about Christ, "The Last Day will not come until the son of Mary comes back as a fair Judge to administer justice and wipe out injustice." The Bible also says that Jesus will judge mankind (John 5:22; Romans 2:16; Jude 1:14, 15; 1 Samuel 2:10; Psalm 7:6-8; Psalm 94:1-2; Isaiah 9:6).
      4) Allah can create (Surah 6:102; Surah 15:86; Surah 22:73). The Qur'an also teaches that Jesus creates as well (Surah 3:49; Surah 5:110).
      5) only Allah can heal (Surah 26:80). Mohammed said in an authentic Hadith, "Oh, Allah, there is no healing but yours." Meanwhile, in the Qur'an we find Christ saying about Himself, "I heal those born blind, and the lepers" (Surah 3:49). The Bible also discusses that Messiah will heal (Matthew 9:35; Matthew 8:5-17; Mark 5:34; Exodus 15:26; Psalm 107:19-21; Isaiah 53:4-5).
6)only Allah has the power over life and death (Surah 15:23; Surah 36:12; Surah 50:43). In his book Beginning and End, Ibn Kathir tells a verified story of Islam that proves Christ had the authority to give death as well as life. It is told that Christ saw a woman crying over her daughter, who had died long ago. He asked her, "What makes you cry, woman?" She said, "My daughter died and I have no more children." Christ asked her, "Would you like Me to raise her from the dead?" She said, "Yes, O Spirit of God!" So, Christ stood by the grave and called the girl three times. On the third time, the little girl came out and talked with her mother. Then the girl asked Christ to let her return. He told her, "Go back!" The grave closed and she was dead. (Beginning and End by Ibn Kathir, part 2, page 84).
The Bible teaches that Jesus has power over life and death (Luke 7:13-15; Matthew 9:25; John 11:43-44; Matthew 27:52-53; Matthew 28:5-7; Revelation 1:18).
      7) only Allah is Omniscient and therefore can be Judge (Surah 27:65; Surah 6:59). But Qur'an teaches that Messiah is all-knowing (Surah 3:49). The Bible confirms this (Matthew 9:3-4; Hebrews 4:12, 13; Job 42:1, 2; Psalms 94:11).

Fair point, but ego gets in the way unfortunately.
Where do you draw the line of doing good for Allah's sake and being a doormat?
You really need a high level of iman to fall into the former category.
There are the people who would like to say or think they are doing it for Allah's sake, but in reality it is because they just can't say no.
These people are burning up inside I would imagine. At the first hurdle they say, I did such and such and this and that.
That is why in the Koran Allah says ( rough meaning) don't nullify your sadaqa with Mann or azza.
If you are going to go down the path of being Mr or Mrs helpful, know that it is for the long run or just say no from the beginning and save yourself a lot of hassle. Allah Alim

Mohammed Yassien I often find myself in this situation...my initial thought is to do it for the sake of Allah because he promises whatever good you do will not be lost and that is my comfort, but you are right we also need to set a boundary with others and that in itself....I choose to view as ibadaah, because we are honoring ourselves, who are also Allah’s creations.

suset your a better person than me.
I'll give you my anecdote for all it's worth.
10 years I volunteered as a boxing Coach for Muslim brothers at least 2 or 3 times a week. Never got paid, never asked for money. Just always telling myself, like you, it was for Allah.
But ALLAH knows what is in our hearts. It turned out I was lying to myself all that time.
One of the boys I used to train was offered a paid role. Not much, chicken feed. So I wasn't too upset, actually happy for him.
But ALLAH knows how to test you.
Eventually he started telling me what to do. My ego couldn't handle that.
It was a war right there in the gym. Violence, profanities, lots of I did you didn't etc. All in front of the kids we were supposed to be helping and setting an example for.
      10 years wasted.
I came back and made peace with him and everyone 15 min later, because of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. But never went back again.
It turned out I just loved the adulation.
We need to take courses on conflict resolution, because it is all or nothing with us.

Shukran. Very good comparison to today's events - to practice austerity, to foresee crises, to spend in the way of the people. When we think of 7 years in the past, it's quick but for the people experiencing the 7 years, it's very long.

Lots of questions/doubts remains in my mind after watching Nauman bhai speech.
Most of them are relating to the Arabic language.
If any "Cup Bearer" is seeing this comment then please tell the "King" to have separate sessions just to answer the questions that people put in comments. That will be really helpful.
And if at all it happens then don't forget to collect questions from TH-cam (I & many others don't use Facebook & Instagram)
    OR
Ask viewers to post their questions again in some common places(which you decide).

"Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven."
It means that God is only One and He is in Heaven... (Not on the Earth)
Then you may have doubt who is Jesus ... He him self says matthew 23:10
And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.
      Jesus Christ is the teacher...
      So whom should we pray
      Matthew 6:6
But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Jesus says that we should pray to the Father not to him...
      Another instance
      Mark 12:28-30
And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
May the God Almighty guide us to straight path and save from the hell fire.... Amen

Yahsua / Jesus / Isa is God In the Qur'an (Part 1)

Just like the prisoner forgot to mention Yusuf (a.s.), the Egyptians also have no record of Yusuf (a.s.) and this dream that he interpreted - even though they recorded everything so meticulously. You would think they would remember this as one of the most important episode of their history.

When the one who got free retells the dream to yusuf it is identically told except for the one small detail in the quran which is when it comes to وسبعِ here its a kasra while when the king says it its وسبعَ with a fatha I know nothing is by chance and I was wondering what the reasoning behind it by any chance was even though its a small one , or is it insignificant والله اعلم

I think Nauman bhai skipped many things.
    1.💡 =========================
Sahih International: king said, "Indeed, I have seen [in a dream] seven fat cows being eaten by seven [that were] lean,..."
    Normally one would say:
"I have seen seven lean cows eating seven fat cows."
    🤔
Is it just the way it is said in Arabic?
    2. 💡 =========================
    Preserve food grains for
    Seven consecutive years!
    a) And that in the time when there was no proper containers, plastics or vacuum sealing concept.
Keep it safe from fungus, moisture, mice, & other rodents
They preserved not only for themselves but also for livestock.
    b) The amount of food grains preserved & how much space was used for that. Can we make a close guess?
    c) Were there any other incidents of preserving food in such huge quantities for such long time recorded in history?
    d) And also not to forget that No Fruits no Vegetables & may be even no Non veg food for seven years!
Just eating from the limited same food grains for seven consecutive years.
    3. 💡 =========================
    Chapter 12 verse 48
Sahih International: Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them...
What was the difficulty faced by the people in those seven difficult years?
Only food is being preserved, no mention of preserving water!
That may imply that there will be rain in next seven years but not enough.
Don't know if it was even possible to preserve water in that age of time.
    4. 💡 =========================
    The words "as usual"
    Chapter 12 verse 47:
"For seven consecutive years, you shall sow as usual and that (the harvest) which you reap you shall leave in ears, (all) - except a little of it which you may eat."
Muhsin Khan, Yusuf Ali & Pickthal translations mentions the words "as usual". But Sahih International translation won't.
Why not grow extra food grains?
Especially when there will be shortage of food in next few years.
    THE MAJOR BLESSING OF ALMIGHTY:
Yusuf (AS) asks king to put him in charge of the storehouses of the land.
    [Sorry for the spoilers]
This is the next big favor that Yusuf(AS) did to the Egypt.
Had it not been the case, then many poor people would have suffered due to the corruption.
    Imagine a man,
who does not care about good & bad or justice to poor,
in charge of the storehouse at the time of national crisis.
It is very easy for him to get corrupted &
sell fresh stock on the black market, and swapping low-quality grains to send to the poor.

The question that's intriguing to me is how did the King readily accept Yusuf's (A.S) intrepretation. Accepting it implied changing the entire economic policy of the country and required lots of trust by the King on Yusuf A.S.
Was it his character ? As later in the story, Yusuf A.S did clarify the accusations of the minister's wife before accepting the finance minister's role to establish his credibility or was it the fact that he had a proven track record of authentic dream interpretation (in the case of the cup bearer and bread maker's dreams).
Would love to see how Ustad Nauman sheds light on this aspect.

    • @aishaarshadalam3412
      @aishaarshadalam3412 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It was probably a few factors. The Egyptians were very superstitious as we know and anyone who interpreted dreams was seen as very wise and important. The cup bearer also had his dream interpreted by Yusuf as before and that was maybe evidence used in Yusuf as favour. And as we already know Yusuf as was a person who people gravitated to. His manner and character and personality were of excellence and everyone was impressed with him, no matter who they were. I think he made an impression on the King and he probably thought this guy can be important to me. Also it was all Allah's plan anyways.

I am not an expert to comment on the behavior of drunk people, but i think drinking can make a person forget someone temporatily. It was the shaytaan who made the cupbearer to forger to mention Yusuf A.S for a number of years. As the people who forget remembrance of Allah are more likely to also forget people who did favor for them.
As for the King's dream, the cupbearer wanted to take the credit of the King's dream interpretation but King was smart enough to know that it was from someone else and the cup bearer ultimatley had to mention Yusuf (A.S).
      And Allah knows the best.

Who says Yahsua / Jesus / Isa is the Son of God?
YHWH, Yahsua himself, the Holy Spirit, angels, prophets, apostles, Martha, the highpriest, Romans, demons.
      God Luke 3: 22b
the Holy Spirit Luke 3: 22a
      Yahsua Luke 2: 49, John 8: 58, 10: 30 Marc 3: 12, 14: 62 26: 64
John the Baptist John 1: 34
      angel Gabriel Luke 1: 35
      Peter Matt. 16: 16
      Luke Luke 3: 38
      John John 1: 34 20: 31
      Nathaniel John 1:50
they that were in the ship Matt. 14: 33
      Martha John 11: 23-28
      the highpriest Matt. 26: 63
man possesed by demons Luke 8: 28
      unclean spirits Marc. 3: 11 Luke 4:41
      The Jews John 19: 7
      the Pharisees Luke 22: 70
      Roman captain Marc. 15: 39
      Paul 1 Kor. 1: 9
and the disciples worshipped him after his resurection Matt. 28: 9
and the wise men from the east came to worship him Matt. 2: 1-2
      Jesus accepts worship:
      Matt. 2:11, Matt 14: 28, John 9: 35. Matt 21: 15-16, Matt. 28 : 8-9, 17-20, Luc 24: 50-53
Jesus explains why he accepts worship in John 5: 21-23 ...all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father… So, Jesus is not a mere prophet.
Did Allah lead people in Qur´an 5: 47 to a corrupt book?
600 years later Muhammad comes along and says Yahsua is not the son of God, not a part of the Trnity, not divine, a prophet of Allah, did not die on a cross, was not resurrected, that Allah is a father to no one (see 5:18; 19:88-93; and 21:26) and this proofs Muhammad is a false prophet.

Who says Yahsua / Jesus / Isa is the Son of God?
YHWH, Yahsua himself, the Holy Spirit, angels, prophets, apostles, Martha, the highpriest, Romans, demons.
      God Luke 3: 22b
the Holy Spirit Luke 3: 22a
      Yahsua Luke 2: 49, John 8: 58, 10: 30 Marc 3: 12, 14: 62 26: 64
John the Baptist John 1: 34
      angel Gabriel Luke 1: 35
      Peter Matt. 16: 16
      Luke Luke 3: 38
      John John 1: 34 20: 31
      Nathaniel John 1:50
they that were in the ship Matt. 14: 33
      Martha John 11: 23-28
      the highpriest Matt. 26: 63
man possesed by demons Luke 8: 28
      unclean spirits Marc. 3: 11 Luke 4:41
      The Jews John 19: 7
      the Pharisees Luke 22: 70
      Roman captain Marc. 15: 39
      Paul 1 Kor. 1: 9
and the disciples worshipped him after his resurection Matt. 28: 9
and the wise men from the east came to worship him Matt. 2: 1-2
      Jesus accepts worship:
      Matt. 2:11, Matt 14: 28, John 9: 35. Matt 21: 15-16, Matt. 28 : 8-9, 17-20, Luc 24: 50-53
Jesus explains why he accepts worship in John 5: 21-23 ...all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father… So, Jesus is not a mere prophet.
Did Allah lead people in Qur´an 5: 47 to a corrupt book?
600 years later Muhammad comes along and says Yahsua is not the son of God, not a part of the Trnity, not divine, a prophet of Allah, did not die on a cross, was not resurrected, that Allah is a father to no one (see 5:18; 19:88-93; and 21:26) and this proofs Muhammad is a false prophet.

I don't agree yet about putting the dawah aside because of national threat. How many stories about nations confronting disaster, so the prophets have to do dawah and warn them to believe in Allah to save the nation. And is not shirk causing a bigger disaster in the eyes of Allah?
