Spot on Ben about the speed difference. The Japanese commentators said the exact same thing that the players are not used to the slower pitch. But SO against Shohei 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I wanna help you to make a movie about Czech Republic too. As a Japanese, their polite and passionate attitude towards baseball was awesome, and most people in Japan are curious about the story behind the WBC games because Czech was broadcasted as "two-way players" in Japan. It will be a great movie.
I watched a TH-cam video that "Tokusan TV" interviews with Satoria and Eric Sogard after the match with Japan. It seems the translator from Czech was belonging to Tokusan TV's baseball team, so I think they can be a great help.

I cannot wait to see Sasaki play in MLB.

Satoria's "fastball" and changeup were hard to contact for power hitters like Shohei, Murakami and Yamakawa. But team Japan's 2nd at bat, Kondo and Yoshida (they are famous as spray hitters in NPB) showed a great bat control and beat Satoria.
I'm a fan of Roki Sasaki and Chiba Lotte Marines, so I watched his dominant pitching many times. Last year I watched his perfect game at the stadium fortunately.
Ben, you'll be a fan of him soon.
    Thanks. from Chiba, Japan

The Czech delegation was impressed by the gentlemanly behavior of pitcher Sasaki.
When Sasaki pitched against the Czech Republic, he hit outfielder Willy Eskara with a dead ball, a 162-kilogram fastball that hit him squarely in the knee, causing quite an impact. Eskara played the next day against Korea, but said, "My knee is still swollen and sore.
In the early morning of the 13th, two days after the dead ball, Sasaki, who had finished all of Samurai Japan's first round games, visited the hotel where the Czech team was staying. Infielder Martin Muzyk said, "He said he was apologizing and brought a bag full of sweets in both hands. Everyone was surprised," he revealed with a smile.
Manager Pavel Hajim said, "Wow, what a gentleman's moment. I continue to be amazed by the Japanese culture and the audience, and I think he is a superstar. And I think it's proof that he is a superstar. He took the time to come over and give Willie an autographed ball. It's a sign of the respect he has for his opponent.

      英語で野球のdead ballは全く別の意味です(調べてみてください)。
      死球は英語でhit by pitchなので、
ここでの用法は、he hit outfielder Willy Eskara with a pitch、で十分です。

Sasaki gave a couple bags of Japanese snacks from Lotte to the batter he hit after the game. Great sportsmanship!

Great show as always, Ben. Roki was 8 years old 12 years ago on March 11, not that it matters much but to be precise.

Satoria should have gotten out of it with no runs. Japan had runner on second and it was 3-2 count with 2 outs and the ump squeezed him and it looked like a strike…started little high but dropped into the zone. Next guy hit double and it changed from there on.

Still a great result for the Czech team, far from the mercy rule result Ben predicted.

MLB erased “the Sea of Japan” from Map in the introduction of Japan team and Shohei Ohtani from the MLB official website which made the Japanese MLB baseball fan very disappointed. MLB went political and the Japanese people are angry. Good Job MLB for making the Japanese lose interest in Japan.
