So excited to see the history of the Aes Sedai discussed and revealed in the show.
From the sounds of this Saidin and Saidar was visible to both men & women when they worked together in the 2nd Age during the AOL. Only after the taint were weaves no longer visible to each other. Or did women teach themselves to no longer see for fear they would feel the urge to work with the male?

@@CivilizationEx no worries! Wasn't trying to be rude, it just is actually part of the story. The "Flame of Tar Valon" is just the white part of the yinyang on its own. The "Dragon's Fang" is the black part on its own. together, they form the ancient symbol of Aes Sedai, the two halves working together as one whole
also, it should be white on the left, black on the right. for consistency, lol. thanks for making these deep dives! I hope it helps people new to the series get into the deep lore of this fantastic series!

I really like your videos and are on point with the text of WOT and Robert Jordan.... but can you please say it Saydean and Saydar.
In the pronunciation guide they say:
saidar (sah-ih-DAHR)
saidin (sah-ih-DEEN)
While in the audiobook they say it Sye Deen and Sye Dar. I went with the audiobooks because that's how I got use to it, and I figured it was close enough the official guide.

BLACK AJAH?
I would probably like this series if it wasn't for the gender aspects of the story. Having a story where only women are able to do magic safely doesn't sound like an enjoyable watch/read for a man. I can only imagine how negative the reaction would be if a series came out where only men were able to do magic.
It is quite enjoyable nonetheless. The powerful males like Logain and Rand are able to perform incredibly satisfying feats. Give it a read.

If it’s genuine and interesting story I’ll keep looking into this story but if it’s social justice propaganda I will swiftly forget about it.
@@eddieroy2418 These books were written before those buzzwords blew up. Social justice is actually a good thing. The reason you are brainwashed to think it's bad is the same reason most movements decay. When goals are reached the movement keeps going with more and more extremists taking the reigns. You are being manipulated when you allow the words "social justice" to trigger your emotional reptilian brain which in turn clouds your higher thinking leading to a further spiral of ignorance. Calm down and think before you end up on the wrong side of history.
If you are so fragile that a fantasy novel where women have power upsets you, probably best to avoid 😂
