    20hrs per week are not enough to raise tuition fees but during summer break you can make good bucks if you get good rate.

    Great info Igor. I work on campus as IT help desk and I work off campus as a server and take-out specialist. I'm able to work all those jobs "Legally" and pay my $8000.00+ per semester tuition. It's not easy but it all boils down to time management and being focused on your course work as well. I'll be sharing a video on this soon (tips and valuable info)

    this is very good advice, especially how much you emphasize don't plagiarize. I was nearly punished for plagiarism in just my first semester, they are really strict with it, you may easiliy plagiarize when you don't know. I made that mistake, of thinking that I could just ignore cuz i would never plagiarize, but NO, it turned out I did unconsciously.

    Hey, I have a question! Will I be able to earn money via some passive income streams online? Or does it violate any laws? For example, you have a youtube channel and you must earn some income right? So does that in any way violate any laws while being an international student in Canada? Can I still freelance with my graphic design skills and earn an income while being a student and doing a part time job?

    • @chopaface
      @chopaface 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sol, it depends on your province. If you are in Ontario, you will receive 10% off on tuition. Upon graduation, you will be charged interest (6-7%) as there is no more grace period post-graduation. OSAP (Ontario) is beneficial for students as it is a cheaper alternative to other traditional loans, such as from a bank or having to take out a line of credit (or a student line of credit).
      To see if a program is worth it, do consider a Return on Investment (ROI) and opportunity cost analysis or calculation. If you pay off your tuition as a typical graduate would, it would take you roughly 8 years to pay it all off. This is under the assumption that you make immediate payments following your graduation AND that you have a job or some kind of income.
      I studied higher education economics and finance in my Masters at UofT and was a Registrar at a college.

    • @chopaface
      @chopaface 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carrrol, I wouldn't recommend this route in any way as it is considered academic dishonesty and outright plagiarism. If you are caught, you will be blacklisted from the academic community in North America.
      If you decide to go through this route, be sure to find a really capable person to ghost write on your behalf.

    Трудно поднять плату за обучение и расходы на работу по 20 часов в неделю.
    However, can you confirm the 20 hours per week is tied to 1 employer? I see many cases where students have more than 1 job. One employer = 20 hours and the 2nd employer = 20 hours.

    Hello Igor! Can you please make a video about Master Degrees in Canada? I'm curious about the dificulty of the programs and how hard it is to get into MSc there. I checked the program I'm interested in but i still don't know if i can get a supervisor to accept me into his program. Keep up with the good videos bro!

    • @chopaface
      @chopaface 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alex, you would need to be specific on which MSc program you are trying to get into. Every academic program lays out a clear outline of admission requirements for both domestic and international applicants. If you are coming from a country where English is not the first language or your mother's tongue, then you must pass the IELTS exam in Canada and achieve a certain score for writing, reading, listening and speaking to assess your level of fluency.
      Also, what do you mean by "a supervisor to accept you into his program"? There is no such thing, do you mean the Registrar?

    • @alexhorhat
      @alexhorhat 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @@chopaface ! Thank you for your reply! I already know the program and checked the requirements on the website. I want to study a MSc in Geomatics Engineering, Digital Imaging or LiDAR as a research field. The minimum requirements are: minimum 3.0 GPA (I have 3.72 so far), I need at least 7.5/10 in my Licence (criteria for Romanian students, that won't be a problem), 2 recomandation letters (already I have my professors support) a statement letter and a CV. Now what I was talking about with the supervisor is the next phrase and I quote : "A supervisor is required, and must agree to oversee the student's research before admission will be granted". And I don't really know how hard it is to convince them to oversee your research.

    Hi Igor, thanks very much for the detailed explanation of each required step. I am applying for a Diploma in Computer science. However, I already finished my Masters in computer science outside Canada (9 years ago) and have been working outside my country since then. I noticed you mentioned that you had a Masters and you did your Diploma (started from zero again). So my Question is , the Study Permit Application Form requires me to mention my highest education (Masters in this case). wont that affect my application acceptance? I mean, wont the officer reject my Visa application because he/she thinks that i Already have a Masters and now im applying for Diploma in the same specification? sounds dodgy ?? Please help since i felt your case is similar and I dont want to transfer both the tuition and accommodation fees to the school if there is no hope to obtain a Visa. thanks very much once again

    Just a question, might be a stupid one but ah well.
    Im planning on moving to Canada on a 2 year working visa. as i believe thats basically the only way i can start off.
    Now i want to be a permanent resident there. Which i BELIEVE you can apply for after being in Canada for 3 years?? So the question is, what is the best way to go around this?
    1 - I have to find a sponsor, which would be a job I presume, which would sponsor me for another year after my visa expires, so then I am there for 3 years and can then apply for permanent residency?
    This could be fairly difficult as I have not went to college and do not have any degree or trade which I am specifically trained in. I have only been working retail, warehouse and customer service jobs.
    2 - I stay my 2 years , of course I work in a job for that whole time. But can't get a sponsor so I have to return back home to Ireland and after another year I can apply for permanent residency, and once I receive that (hopefully) , move back.
    Can someone let me know if I am wrong anywhere and is there another way to stay there after my 2 years run out until I get permanent residency or any easier way to receive it?
    I will be 25 years old moving over. I know age might have a little bit to do with what i am entitled to too.
    Thanks for your replies!

    i'd like to ask some questions if anyone can answer please.
    I graduated international MBA from Asia and I'd like to study another major in master degree in Canada, do they require IELTS score? Have you ever took the IELTS exam in Canada? How much difficult is it?

      Hi Chill Lax, if you apply for a MBA program in Canada as an international student, you will need to take the IELTS if you are coming from a non-English native country and/or your first language is not English.
      All schools vary and can determine their standards of acceptance. They may or may not ask for IELTS/TOEFL.
      To prepare for the IELTS/TOEFL exam, there are IELTS Canada approved courses offered by several universities and colleges to support non-native speaker of English to successfully complete the TOEFL and IELTS tests.
      IELTS tests on your strengths in writing, reading, speaking and listening. If you are not attuned to the typical English language, such as idioms, expressions, knowing how to construct full and complete paragraphs orally in a more or less fluent manner, etc, then you will need to practice. Please note that the listener for your oral component must be able to understand you.

    Hi Igor, I’ve just recently subscribed your channel. I must say you’re doing a great job. I really appreciate it.
    By the way, may I know what & where did you study in canada? I know you’ve MSc in Economics from Ukraine. I’ve studied Economics too from Germany as an international student but found it really difficult to get a subject related job here. Therefore I am just curious about Canada :)
