Risk Bail Slide - Part 2/3 (Phantasm Cap Under The Moat)

After going down a mysterious slide and hitting a white block, Mario is teleported to "Phantasm Cap Under The Moat".
This level contains an upgrade of the Vanish Cap, called Phantasm Cap.

Here are the functions in detail:
- Standard functions of the Vanish Cap
- The boost never disappears, it ends only when mario wins or loses the level.
- Slowly drains Mario's life
- Allows levitation for short distances allowing you to reach previously inaccessible areas

About Phantasm Cap
The time Mario can spend in flight with this boost is extremely variable and depends on many factors (distance, speed, direction, current life, etc.) probably the reason why it was discarded from the development of Super Mario 64.
The only thing we have left from beta development are 2 sounds. The first warns us that Mario is ready to levitate, the second tells us that Mario must rest before trying again.
If the Phantasm Cap had arrived in the final game we probably would have had a simpler interface to manage the power-up and not simple sounds.

Phantasm Cap looks epic but it has a risk of it's own..
I wonder if it could be used to obtain the Ghoul Medal in order to battle King Boo (not Big Boo) in SM64 before his true debut in SM64 DS

I really like the concept of this power up! it's a bit scary and hard for a regular mario game tho, maybe it would fit better in some luigi's mansion or other ghost-themed mario game?

So the Ice Cap can be activated using a light blue box and switch, the gold cap can be activated with a Yellow Switch and Gold Cap Box, and now the Phantasm Cap via gray box/white switch? That's pretty neat, really did like the way that Phantasm Cap course was a remaster of the original Vanish Cap Course though. Can't wait to see Tape 16 this month!
