How to Make a Discada From a Plow Disc

This is how to build a DIY discada from an old rusty plow disc. They are also known as a cowboy wok or disco cooker. I think I burnt mine when I tried to season it but it still works great. More on what to cook on it coming soon.

Coming from a large farming community and having access to many scrap plow discs, I’ve wanted to make one of these to fry fish for 20 years but never got around to it lol. It’s a project that’s always been on the back burner lol

It was super easy and quick to make. You should just do it, you would be done and using it the same day.

Fun fact: the cookware is a Disco ("Deeskoh"), the food typically cooked on it is called Discada. Much like the difference between a Turkey Fryer and Fried Turkey.
I'm trying to get into welding and this looks like a good project to start that journey. Thanks.

If you have a lot of rust on it just leave it in vinegar then hit it with the flap disc weld the horse shoes and make it pretty

-what disk was ever stored inside? The plow disk are not known for being small and easily stored! Haha

True. Maybe if you bought them new they might have only been inside. I don't know
