    About 3 years ago Walmart had those Crosman.177 Hollow points for $2.39 for 500 and I bought 20 tins.
    Really need to invest in a few other brands. And types.

    My Daisy's eight or nine years ago. Yes it has the plastic crap. But I have shot it so many times and it still shoots good. Not bad for a pellet gun that cost fifty bucks back then.

    Wish they would make the receiver opening a little larger like the 760. 760 is a lot easier to put the pellet in.

    Use a small screw driver and remove that retention spring where the plastic pump arm catches into the receiver, it's not a necessary piece and then it will be very easy to pump. You'll notice when you close the lever it cams over right before closing, so it's not going to fall open again. Better yet, replace the plastic arm with an old metal one.

    I have a new model Daisy 880, that I bought last year. Funny the Christmas I got my Blue Streak I asked for an 880, LOL, I was a little disappointed at first but once I shot my Sheridan, it was kismet. But it still didn't change the fact that I didn't have an 880. Well 39 years later I bought one of my own and its one of my favorite plinkers

    the 880 is the perfect pellet gun with the monte carlo stock . light weight. perfect hold. the famous pumping handle, the cool looks it has , and the simple design it has from daisy. the power and its common for these guns to shoot quarter size groups 20 yards or better. mine are from the 1970s. the 880 and the sheridan c models are both my top pellet guns.

    One of my favorites! Most of my collection is old Daisy springers, the 880 has always been a go-to in my airgun stable. 🤠👍 Great stuff brother!

    Awesome Nibs! Love the 880. Only other pumper I suggest is the Daisy 901. Nice solid composite stock. Fantastic shooter, feels so solid! Look forward to more on your new 880.

    Recently bougth daisy's 880. Like it a lot, it shoots well and looks good. Coming from powerfull breakbarrels i like the plinking whit (lower power & bb's ) indoors or my small garden. Real wood & blued toolsteel would be even better. Olso like your old Daisy bb pistol video ,the one you repaired. Greeting from Holland the netherlands.

    I find pumping it I can slowly bring the handle right to the retention spring but not click it engaged. It charges the stroke and doesn’t have that annoying graspy click each time. (Maybe a bit like the Seneca where you don’t need to close it all the way)

    Replace the plastic pump arm with a metal one. It has to be the cast metal pump arm from the 1980's, not the two-piece stamped steel pump arm from the '70's (fitment issue). Anyway, if you can find a cast metal pump arm from a mid-80's 880, it will mount right up, and it feels great! I bought my modern 880's back in 2012 and found used pump arms online back then. They may be harder to find now I don't know. Another great thing about the 880 is; there is no "pump cup" like the crosmans. It's just a simple O-ring that can be replaced, I get them at harbor freight for cheap.

    • @trevorjameson3213
      @trevorjameson3213 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It really is a disgrace. And they've been putting the plastic pump arm on them since at least 1992. I just replace them with the metal pump arm; pay way too much for an old 880 off ebay that doesn't work, then scavenge the pump arm, the stock and forearm pieces (still plastic but nicer than the new ones), and then the modern 880 is just great. But I've never been able to get the old metal receivers to fit the new 880's, they changed some things and the fit just doesn't work for some reason. Maybe some machining would do the trick but I never tried doing that.
