u should also teach why u can do those "tricks", for example in the first trick dividing by 5 is the same as multiplying by 2/10 wich is what we are doing, or showing that for example 16% of 75 is equal to 75 X 16/100 and by the rules of multiplication its the same as doing 75/100 X 16 etc, I think most people understand where this tricks came from without needing someone to explicitly show them but still it would be better for people who may not be so good at math
