Sirji excellent job. full of infomation. I m 75 yrs old & sailed as R/O fm 1968 to 1998. its my hobby to learn new things related tomarine field. tks again.
Sir I highly appreciate ur intrest in learning......Am honoured to read ur comments....Hands off for your mindset to be in touch with the marine engineering. Thank you for ur words...
Excellent video sir tightening of conrod explained clearly one doubt, for all gen sets we have to follow same tightening method or depend on the manual procedure one more doubt for tappet roller position you also replied in comment section thankyou so much sir
For compression pressure just make fuel pump rack to zero ...no fuel should be admitted to unit....and note generator should not be on load to avoid unnecessary deviations in other unit...check each unit one by one by pulling the fuel rack backwards
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. If there is a chance can you make also a video of overhauling for fuel pumps, LT and HT pumps, LO pump and Air cooler of Aux Engine. Thank you! Safe sailing!
hey, awesome video, i have a doubt. when taking tappet clearance, you mentioned to cross check cam to see if inlet and exhaust cam are on the peak. Isn't it the opposite. it should be on the base for taking clearance, right?
Thanks for watching the video so precisely.....you absolutely correct abt the position of cam..it should be at base.... And thks for correcting me... Appreciate the way you put it....you would be an good engineer..All the best.👍👍👍👍.
Hey thks for your compliment.... appreciate your words.. The AE decarb job usually is carried out at 8000 operating hrs.. Connecting Rod bolts to be renewed every 16000 Operating hrs..
Hey while reliving stress of bolts i observed that the bearing shell was not there and marking was done....how did the marking match while installing in the engine???
Hey appreciate your comment and sorry for late reply.. While reliving the stress of the conrod bolts the bearing shells must b out and markings should be done as described in the video. This is to protect the new bearing shell from getting damaged in bench vise while tightening the new bolts,The bearing shell material is of white metal and is comparatively much softer than the connecting rod material , after installation of new bearing shell the bearing gets compressed into the groove and doesn't affect the markings made during pre tightening.
12:50 If the roller is on peak of the cam then how is this compression stroke.. exhast valve and suction valve will be open... just confused... should be on the base of the cam
Firstly thanks and I really appreciate u for watching the video so deeply..... U absolutely right brother....the roller should b on base of the cam during compression stroke... Thank you commenting...
In yanmar engine piston has holes underneath for piston cooling by oil . In manual it’s clearly mentioned that perforated hole must be on fuel pump side , why it’s so please explain 🙏
Check lub oil passage from con rod to piston and after exit and see on your own think about purpose by keeping in mind the rotation of engine forward and oil splash is required or do these holes simply to drain oil directly to sum p without touching con rod
U absolutely right...and I do apologise for the mistake.. M happy that u saw the video so patiently and can say...u know the job...thks for ur comment...
@@sealegend1627 hey it's ok sir np.. tbh we did our 10k hrs overhaul by following ur video only. That time i missed this ,now for class 4 preparation i was watching again.. Thanks for making wonderful videos👏
Firstly it's good to hear from ur end...means u watching the video carefully.... appreciate that.. Usually if u keep all spares ready, just like spare cylinder heads, pistons, con rod .....than u can complete the job with full E/R team in 5 days....
Yes I am watching Your videos carefully and I understand it nicely because I am Diesel Mechanic also and I saw Your all videos which is informative, keep up the good work Sir 🎉
Bhai first time I m working on yanmar..Dearb is due thank so much for video ...great help God bless you
What a video Bro...years of knowledge and hard work you summarize in 30 minutes..thanks.. really too good

Way way way tooooooooooo good… Such a clear explanation with demonstration … Thank you for sharing the knowledge with us..
Good team work and all safety procedure follow best of luck sir
Thanks a lot for your honest efforts behind such fruitful videos. Keep sharing sir
best video for decarb ...thank you for giving such a clear explanation
Most welcome 😊
thank you sir for your efforts in making such videos. Really helpul
Thanks for ur videos bro. And lucky for me that u made ur videos in english . I understood very well
Thank you for your comments..
Your video such a very helpful information about the new comer

Good job sir God blessed nice one..
Best video on generator decarb💥💯keep up the good work👏
Its perfectly explained chief....too good 👍👍👍👍keep going...awating for more videos...
Very nice videos sir thks plenty doubts are solved sir
Thanks a lot for your efforts .It's very helpful .
Thank you so much Bro. We're still waiting your videos on Generator. Such as fuel timing checking and adjustment, ...
OMG...such a detailed video!! Hats off
excellent videos brother. please keep on making them
Very much well explain video sir.. Keep creating much more. If possible sir pls make vide on main engine Decaronisation.
Too good explanation...👍👍👍👍keep going cheif..awating for more such videos..
Thank u very much.pls upload more video on generator troubleshooting and how to take compression pressure and how to take deflection of crankshafts.
For compression pressure just make fuel pump rack to zero ...no fuel should be admitted to unit....and note generator should not be on load to avoid unnecessary deviations in other unit...check each unit one by one by pulling the fuel rack backwards
Nicely done. Thumbs up to the channel
Well explained sir.
Keep posting
Perfect, your arrengment of work step by step, looks like in video manual of westfalia or alfa laval
Am happy to read your comments....Thank you..
Really great video brother. Can you share videos for removal and fitting of valve guide and fuel valve sleeve too.
Great work !please keep making overhaul videos with so much clarity kudos!!!
Well-done for the job done properly...👍👏👏👏
THANK SIR ,YOUR VEDIO IS SO GOOG AND USEFUL
Very essential video for beginners
Thankyou for this informative video.

Thanks sir
Sir u cleared my exams😁🥰🥰
V well explained bada shabb
Very nice..keep it up..
Hi sir please make one video on all measurements like on conrod, bottom end bearing and liner that carried out during ae decarb.
Very nicely explained 👌
That’s what most of the MTIs should taught in the classes.
Heartily appreciate your comments...👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊
Superb bro..
Very helpful .Thanks a lot.

Very good video sir
Also upload for niigata 18v32clx and wartsila engines
Very informative...!!!
Sir plz make a video on crankshaft deflection
Very useful, thanks
thx for sharing sir
Thanks for sharing
Nice sir
Great job
Nice video
idol, thank so much for this vedeeo, but i have question, may i nkow the frequency of decarvonization of engine ?

In yanmar engine piston has holes underneath for piston cooling by oil . In manual it’s clearly mentioned that perforated hole must be on fuel pump side , why it’s so please explain 🙏
And is this hole is for draining oil from piston ?if yes it is done so that oil can splash during rotation by con rod movement for liner lubrication
Check lub oil passage from con rod to piston and after exit and see on your own think about purpose by keeping in mind the rotation of engine forward and oil splash is required or do these holes simply to drain oil directly to sum p without touching con rod
12:49 how come on peak of the cam when taking tappet clearance

Hi sir,
Is it possible to relief internal stress of bolt by heating or annealing process?
No once deformed it has to be replaced with new one...
nice one
Very good
Thanks
How many days it took to overhaul the Genset?

4 guys can do 2 unit per day...and other crew is required for cleaning and removing carbon ....
😊
Because of rotation of engine
Nice
Thanks
