Hello sir, would you think to create a course on linkedin learning for 3DX? I've liked your current courses a lot, thanks for them. Additionaly, I wonder if you would record a video which you create surfaces via tracing a blueprint, e.g. top/side/front/rear views of a car? It would be amazingly helpful. Thank you.
I am connected to the Dassault's cloud for the PDM portion so it makes it painful for me. I live in the sticks so my connection speed is not that great. If someone has the PDM installed locally it is not an issue.
I like 3DX a lot but it will be a tough sell at the moment. Most places are happy simply doing what they are doing with an extremely capable tool that is V5.
Those icons look like they were pulled straight from SolidWorks, they switched to that style a few years back. Same for the ribbon, looks almost identical. I’m sure Catia has better tools, but it looks awfully similar to SolidWorks.
Hello steve Dev here, i thinks that Doesn't matter how sophisticated 3Dexperience is, if user can't get hands on it, it's plain useless [Remove Enovia as Compulsory thing] & i will directly compare it with my NX 1899, steve now you have it then i expect to compare them head to head [ NX with teamcenter integration vs 3D experience ]
As more companies go to 3DX more people will get that experience. When V5 was released it was way to easy to get an illegal license and install. I do not really blame DS for making it more difficult. I will be doing head to head battles with 3DX and NX 1899 as now I have both. Cheers.
It's a shame that your are obligated to work only in the cloud and can't download your work on your personal computer. You can export it, but you will lose features...

They keep trying to get our office to change to 3DXp. Don't think my boss is going for it

SW has a larger user base so a lot of the time DS will use SW as a test case for things like this.
I kind of like it in many ways.

Does 3DX have a scripting language? I make alot of python scripts for Abaqus... So I'm wondering if they use python
Yes it does. It is like V5 so if you can script in V5 you can do it in 3DX.
