    With so few Catia/3dX tutorials online, it's great finding one that is of value. THANK YOU.

    another help full tip is if you have multiple assemblies in an assemblie its just moving the whole sub assembly when trying to manipulate it, simple just double left click on the top collector of that sub assembly and it should move them. then double click on the main assembly top collector to go back.

    ....what about trace lines between the exploded parts? Thanks!

    can we make the live data sections which will be updated with the designs

    Very good information. Thank you for sharing. How would one add axis lines in the drawing to help with assembly explanations? Including if one wants to have 90 degree axis line, to help with parts positioning (multiple bushings in one axis for example)

      @MaximeChagnot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Mathieu, sorry, we are not aware of an automatic tool for doing axis lines in exploded view (parrallel and 90deg). You can show axis lines on hole in properties panel, but if the part is fully prismatic, there are no tool in CATIA Drawing app, you can draw it manually but it is not associative after update. I think you can achieve what you want with CATIA Composer application.

    Also, in V5 you can explode an assembly without creating a Scene. I'm wondering if 3DX has that ability

    very nice video.I got this now. Merci très bon vidéo. Pourrais tu me dire comment faire des trail marks une fois qu'on a fait un dessin 2d qui utilise une vue explosée ? Can you tell me how you can make trail marks on a 2d drawing wich is using an exploded view ?

      Merci Guillaume Vincent pour ton commentaire! Malheureusement ce n'est pas possible dans drafting r21x. Cela a toujours été comme ça depuis CATIA V5. Tu peux ajouter des lignes manuellement ou probablement avec une macro, mais il n'y a pas de fonction automatique. Si tu veux avoir la fonction, il faut regarder dans CATIA Composer. Cordialement, Maxime de PLM Technology

      @@MaximeChagnot By the way, do you happen to know if there's simple way to move those exploded parts by numeral distance values or move groups of parts on same time? I made view where I had to first move several parts z direction and spread there -y and + y directions. Parts are not precisely aligned now but close enough.

    • @MaximeChagnot
      @MaximeChagnot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Tappajakoala I do not know if it is the best way, but when I want to move a part from a distance along X, I use right click on the Robot (compass in bottom right screen corner) then edit the Robot, and I put the value I want on the X, for instance 43mm. Click on Ok. Then you drag and drop the Robot on the part and move it along X, it will be move for 43mm. Another method is to edit the Robot put 1mm in each direction X, Y and Z and 15deg (or less) in the angle U, V, W. In that way, you set up an increment when translating and rotating. Very useful! If you already moved the part, it is possible to reset position in the properties panel of the part (Mechanical tab in properties). Regarding group of Part, I am using Ctrl+Click to select several Parts. I prefer to select the parts in the specification tree. Good luck! Maxime from PLM Technology

    What are the licence we need to pick for making explorer view, because I not get the design review command.

    Hi Maxime, your videos are very helpful. However, I believe 3DX updated recently and your steps no longer apply. When I open 'Design Review' workbench, it creates a new 'Review' which is outside of the product itself, and I can only work inside of the markup under that. Creating a markup inside my product, I have no way to add new slides or edit them. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

    • @claireyoung3222

      If you have some time to help, I can send you an email with some photos of the screens I get trying to follow your steps

    • @claireyoung3222
      @claireyoung3222 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nevermind, I solved my own problem. If anyone else gets stuck, in order to work on the slides in your markup, the markup must be under the top level that you are working on. For example, if you are looking at a product, but your markup is inside a part, you will not be able to work on it.

    Hi, How can we increase the wiev quality. For more complicated modeling.
    Also how can we hide a lot of product, from the maouse when we select a part of modeling and click the space. It hide 2. Stage product. And these reason it shows drafting module

    • @MaximeChagnot
      @MaximeChagnot  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Murat, Thank you for the comment.For the view quality you can go to preferences/display/performance and put the 3d accuracy to 0,01 (take more ressources). On the action bar you can also go to View tab and click on View Quality, select ultra or custom settings for improving quality. Finally you can also change the ambiance mode to put reflection, by right clicking on the background/ambiance.
      For selecting several products in the same time, you can use CTRL or SHIFT in the spec tree, the classic rectangle selection, in View tab you can select Product selection or 3D Representation icon, you can also use CTRL+F for searching a type a element you want.
      I hope this answers your question!

      Thank you for your quicly response. For the view quality it helps me.
      But for the select it is not enough. I need more detail. For example when I click the part it will be chose outomaticly upper level or assemly part. Because I have really a lot of part and when I hide with space. it makes hide level stage. I dont know, I wish I described enough and good 😞

    Thank you for the video...I have tried the same way you shown...but when I select the exploded view under mark up,its still taking the normal isometric view of 3D CAD.please let me know why its so...

    • @MaximeChagnot
      @MaximeChagnot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Hari, ok so very important for the scenario: 1) you should right click on the markup and "set as current". A small red dot should appear next to markup. Then you can create a slide and move the parts. You can "unset" the markup when you are done and it will go back to normal assembly model. 2) Insert drawing into assembly. In the drawing app, select "Isometric view", switch to assembly tab, and select the SLIDE in the SPECIFICATION TREE. By doing that, you should select the exploded view and not the 3D model. Please let me know if it works! Maxime at PLM Technology

      Hi, after selecting isometric view in drafting, then switch to assembly tab, select the slide called "exploded view" and i forgot to mention you have to click on one part in the exploded view (in the video I click on part Carter Closing). Normally the exploded view should be generated in the drafting app. Maxime at PLM Technology
