1963 Mack M-15X - Truck of the Month - September 2023

In 1960, Mack introduced the new M-series off-highway trucks replacing the aging L-series-based heavy duty models. The new styling with the trusted Mack powertrain made this a popular choice in mining, quarrying, and construction. The M-15 was the smallest of the M-series off-highway trucks which was attractive for site-work because it was easy to transport between jobsites.
This M-15 was a birthday gift to Rick Lawson from his loving wife. To Rick's surprise, one day the M-15 showed up on a lowboy. After some restoration, painting, and detailing, the truck has been assigned to a life of leisure at the National Pike, Steam, Gas, and Horse Association in Brownsville, PA. Rick will be showing the capability of the truck by hauling dirt around the digging area at their showgrounds in May and August each year.
