- Review of the Masters of the Universe Origins Cartoon Collection Tri-Klops figure that is made by Mattel Toys. I also show some parts swapping with other MOTU Origins Tri-Klops figures.
I hope we get Grizzlor sometime in the line. Thanks to your reviews of Turtles of Grayskull I’m officially into MOTU, and I wasn’t born till 1995.
There have been some leaked listings for the next wave(s) and it looks like Grizzlor is in there.
@@adamthespinygiant Thanks for watching. Grizzlor was announced for wave 26 or 27 for next year. The Turtles of Grayskull figures are also one of my favorites from the Origins. Thanks again for the support!👌
That was such a cool intro - Power of Greyskulllll!
@Rob-z7k Thanks for checking out the review and sharing your thoughts on that intro! It was fun to make and helps inspire the Motu Origins Reviews!👍
Just unboxed my Cartoon Tri-Klops today while watching your review! They did a great job with his eyes, I'm relieved! Because the prototype photos we first saw last year, his pupils looked weird as if he was constantly looking upward. So the final figure is great. I also swapped accessories with my Club Grayskull Tri-klops. The Rock Softener scales better with Club Grayskull and fits him perfectly. And the small blaster that came with Club Grayskull looks great with Cartoon Tri-klops - I always thought it was too loose in Club Grayskull's hand, at least it was on mine. Because of that, I never had him posed with any accessories. The gold and silver sword that came with Club Grayskull Tri-klops I have posed with my Classics Tri-klops. That sword is an exact replica of the vintage cardback art by Alfredo Alcala. It looked wrong in the Filmation Tri-klops' hand. I know some collectors have OCD about mixing and matching accessories between different toylines, but I love doing it if it looks good and makes sense. 😅
Thanks for watching as always and I'm glad to hear you unboxed your Cartoon Tri-Klops and like the overall look of the figure. I'm happy the way the colors came out on this Tri-Klops figure. The Rock softener accessory can work well with the Origins or Classics figures. That was a cool idea of swapping the Rock Softener for the Club Greyskull Tri-Klops mini Blaster. Yeah my Club Greyskull Tri-Klops also holds that too loose.
Another great-looking Cartoon Collection figure! Again, I can pretty much take or leave the episode-specific accessories because most of them are one-and-done objects that never appear beyond the episode they were featured in. And there were 130 episodes, so if you didn’t happen to see that one, there is absolutely no nostalgic memory attached to it. I guess it probably is because many of these characters didn’t have their iconic weapons in the series, so Mattel wants to give us “something.”
Anyway, he looks very accurate to the cartoon. I saw a random person complain in one of the Facebook groups that it was another missed opportunity to give him a better shade of green. I almost responded with a snide remark but decided against it. Seriously, I think some fans are grasping at straws because they need something to complain about. The green may not be the exact right shade of green…really?! I could see it with Beast Man at least.
Great review as always!
~Damon
I was really happy to finnaly see Tri-Klops come to the Cartoon series. It would have been cool to see a sword added to this figure in combination with that rock soften Blaster. Yes I saw that episode with Tri-Klops and Evil-Lyn trying to use that weapon on Catsule Greyskull and He-man. I think it's an ok Weapon to add with this figure because its a Blaster. Some of the Cartoon added accessories are just usless! The Green Colors of the armor re good enough for what this Cartoon line is doing with these figures for the Origins. Many of the skin tones and armor colors are definitely off from the cartoon for some reason. I'm ok with it for the most part. Again these are are Origins not Classics!
I definitely think the Yellow tone on Beastman is probably the worst so far in the series. Thanks for watching as always and Happy New Year!
Awesome review, as always sir! Love this cartoon line! I hope they make them all, every single character! ha ha :)
Merry Christmas to you!
@@allmusicfan88 Thanks for watching as always allmusicfan88. I think Mattel is gonna go very heavy with this series. Merry Christmas to you too friend 👌
Awesome one of my favourites 😊 merry Christmas
@@raccabird8889 Yeah Tri-Klops was also a favorite villian of mine in the animation. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas as well
@Themanchlid yeah cool figure and welcome
@raccabird8889 👍
Tri klops were one of the first 2 Motu figures l got for Xmas in 1982. I like the hard softener weapon but l was disappointed he doesn't come with his iconic sword. I understand that they're trying make the artifacts from episodes but mattel is cheaping this line by not including their weapon. Good video sir
@@jerellewynn2855 Thanks for watching another review! Tri-Klops was also one of the first figures that i got as a kid along with Whiplash. I don't remember ever seeing Tri-Klops in the animation use a sword. So I guess Mattel wants to inspire some of these cartoon figures with weapons or artifact that they used in certain episode from the animation.
Nice reviewbit dissapointed missing his sword merry christmas brother can wait for your mew turtles of grayskull review
@@trash44gzgigasmashkaza50 Thanks for watching as always and Merry Christmas! Yeah they could have added a sword to this Tri-Klops. Hopefully I'll get some new Turtles stuff in January.
A first-rate review of CC Tri-Klops and his cool accessory!
@@aaronscott5882 Thanks for watching as always! 👍
@Themanchlid Awesome work!👍
@aaronscott5882 👌
Cool figure. Still hoping they release a 200X version with a doom seeker. Merry Christmas, brother!! All the best!
@@TheWandifan Thanks for watching as always brother! I'm not sure if the Origins is gonna go any further with 200x figures. I know the cartoon line is going strong and the Thundercats cross over is coming next year. But you never know! Merry Christmas bro!👍
@@Themanchlid still holding on for the Queen Marlena they teased on the back of one of the cards lol.
@@TheWandifan I'm certain the Queen and King Randor will show up some how in this line. They will probably be an exclusive two pack.
Great review. Icer kobra Khan and strongarm. Are some of skeletors other henchmen in the cartoon.
@@stephenleahy1684 Yeah they kind of rare to see with Skeletor. However I can also see those figures showing up in this cartoon series at some point. Thanks for watching and adding those other characters 👍
While I still think Origins body has a better sculpt these cartoon figures are looking pretty good.Great review!
@@captainzuesss1685 Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah I also prefer the Original Origins Body styles. But I honestly like the newer Body designs for the Cartoon figures. It's different! 👍
Cool figure!
@@connorstoytime Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 👌
No problem
@@connorstoytime 👍
Awesome love these cartoon figures, be good though if they came with maybe a recolor of thier standard accessory as well ie Tri Clops with his sword Mantenna maybe with the raygun from the cartoon, Man E Faces with his gun in blue etc.
@@MiKeMiDNiTe-77 Thanks for checking out the review! Yeah I like idea of adding recolored vintage weapons to these cartoon figures. They only seem to come with very limited weapons or one animation accessory so far.
hi, i gave up on motu, since no one gave me any motu action figure for christmas, besides the action figures are still expensive at the stores,....i really gave up on them, untill i find them cheaper or someone at christmastime or my birthday gives me an motu action figure, then i will not lose hope in motu, but untill then i lost all hope in motu, bye (hordak, i guess i will never have you, in my collection),.......man child, i will still watch your future videos, but having anymore action figures is really in the balancing grind scale,.?????????,...oh, i did gave you both thumbs up,...........marius(punk rules).
@@mariusbabii Thanks for watching as always! I have also slowed down on the reviews and collecting figures. I don't have the money and they are getting to expensive. Many of these I put on credit to get them early. I can't keep doing that anymore. Happy Holidays!
@@Themanchlid yeah, i guess the toy companies think that their customers are rich and can afford a lot so they the toy companies can get fat rich off us poor guys,..well, we are not billionaires, or rich, we are simple souls, well, the toy companies will feel the pinch this year, for I will not buy one single motu action figure anymore at regular price,....$ 10 bucks and under yes, but over $ 10 dollars, nope, no more, bye motu,.......marius(punk rules).
@mariusbabii Yep! Everything is going beyond what normal people can afford. Toys are just another one of those things.
I know it's funny I have the dvd box set which
also comes withe 200x he man, and new adventures of he man.And that triclopse is awesome!
@@rickbrunet2559 Thanks for watching and sharing your DVD and figures collection.👍
It's an awesome figure. I just wish they put a sword to go along with Tri-klops.
@@vladyns556 Yeah they could have included that vintage sword with this figure. I still like the rock crusher accessory. Thanks for watching 👌
Nice Figure.
@@lionking4452 Yeah he's a must have for the Cartoon Collection! Thanks for checking out the review 👍
I take the figures out of packaging using a very sharp thin knife to cut only the underneath bottom plastic shell and pull the figure out carefully. I then put the plastic shell back in the packaging. None of the packaging art gets destroyed 😊
@@shazmanbound1496 Thanks for watching and sharing that info. I have done something simular like that before with a hobby knife. It's all good. I honestly don't have room for more full carded figures. I take them out for reviews and then save the art.👍
@Themanchlid Actually same here I have no room for saving the full packaging anymore. So your idea of just saving the art is actually good. I will try that on my incoming delivery of MOTU figures😊
@shazmanbound1496 Yeah so you get it! I also have over 200 Motu classics in card still. I'm thinking about slowly taking them out one by one and store the back art as well. I have all the art in a plastic tub container.
@@Themanchlid I have one more question. What is the website where you find information of the next wave of incoming MOTU figures?
@shazmanbound1496 Toy Habits seems to find a lot of the newer information on upcoming figures. I also go ebay a lot and type in certain collections and sometimes sellers will have these figures in early. Or places like Entertainment Earth. I look what the release date says and then guess for another month or so before they get the products.
Need a new cartoon collection fisto figure
@@CN-ct5zs I heard Cartoon FISTO is coming next year with along with cartoon Buzz-Off and Orko.
Ollies has $4 WWE Superstars Ric Flairs, I got one for the extra hands. He comes with right and left open hands and 2 fist hands, in addition to two grasping hands. I don't care about wrestling much, but the fist hands for He-Man are cool, though the skin tone is a little off. Not sure how they'd match with Tri-Klops (I don't have Tri-Klops).
@@scockery Thanks for watching. I don't collect the WWE either. But certain parts or accessories will work good with many of these figures. I'm not sure how that hand would match without having it.
SyKlone spins at the waist. Tri Klops swivels or rotates at the waist .
@@ColtonFultonUK They all swivel and rotate at the waist.
Odd how Tri-Klops' skin tone just keeps adjusting to every variants. 🧐
@@geffeternal741 Yeah I notice the same thing.
Is it just me or is Tri-Klops seems buffer, musclewise? 🧐🤔🤨
@@geffeternal741 His body looks the same to me as the cartoon He-man from what I can tell. Thanks for watching as always 👍
Your classics triklops armor is def repainted. The original had a much brighter green
@@danield1262 Thanks for watching. That's exacly how I took the Classics figure and armor new out of the box. I would never paint one of those figures or parts. Maybe it's a QC issue or early figure release with the wrong paint. I heard a few complaints with figures from super7 with the wrong paint tones.
Not including weapons really sucks.
@@fandabidozi3191 I agree! Many of these cartoon figures don't come with weapons. Only some kind of accessories that reference certain episodes. Thanks for checking out the review 👍
