      @@ChrisHollandGuitar Your video was very dynamic and straight to what I needed, and I had a lot of doubts about these two pedals, a pity that here in Brazil they are very expensive. Success to you, always.

    The tone is sumilar but Suprisingly I like the slightly better clarity and decay on the simple MXR.

      I prefer the sound of the MXR as well, it sounds so organic. The TC Electronic has some nice options though.

    Warmer sound with the CC.. colder with TC
    I own a flashback 2 but i m gonna try the mxr.

      I really like both pedals. I currently have the Flashback on my pedalboard, as I need crisp digital delay for some of the tunes that I play...but the modulation effect on the MXR is really useful for atmospheric riffs.

    The repeats are much better on the Carbon Copy! I have the Flashback 2 but find it to be too sterile. Sure its a Jack of All Trades but Master of none! MXR sure is the Master of Analogness! I think I need me a CC

      I ended up selling the Carbon Copy. It's great at what it does, but the Flashback does the analog thing plus much more. The Modulation mode is amazing.

      @@ChrisHollandGuitar Carbon Copy - a little muddy sound// Flashback - bright sound and the Modulation mode is amazing.

    Nice playing.
    I’m surprised how clingy sounding the MXR is, there’s no daylight between the source and the delay.
    To me, on my iPad the flashback is the clear winner for clarity without being ‘bright’.
    The mxr is more flattering to the source but the delays seem mushy with an overtone around 900Hz.

    • @ascgazz
      @ascgazz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they’ve eq’d the pedal to sound more ‘tape’.

    • @ChrisHollandGuitar
      @ChrisHollandGuitar  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I definitely hear what you mean with the MXR being mushy sounding. I think that pedal shines with dreamy & atmospheric riffs, with the modulation effect on, and the delay turned up quite a bit. The TC Electronic has a clarity that I prefer for most situations.

      @ascgazz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChrisHollandGuitar absolutely, I believe mine is arriving today 🙌🏻
      Intrigued by the mash stuff too. May end up with a carbon copy to stack with the flashback.. or an echorec..
      Never really been about delay but it’s growing on me quite quickly 😂
      Thanks for your time. 🙌🏻

      It's “Secret Conversations” by The 126ers. Fun fact: it's available as free stock music in the TH-cam audio library, or at least it WAS back in 2015-2016. I first heard it at the end of a vlogger's video...not bad for stock music, eh?

    He not adjust the mxr very well. He not even put the mod on so this video a complete waist of time

    • @ChrisHollandGuitar
      @ChrisHollandGuitar  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That was deliberate. The Flashback doesn't have a modulation option built into the analog delay, so enabling that on the Carbon Copy defeats the purpose of the shootout. Think about it - I'd be comparing an analog delay with a modulated analog delay. Not the point of the video.
