There is quite a large Indian population in South Africa mainly in Durban,so Indian accents is not new for South Africans like Trevor. Historically the mixed community in South Africa have adopted and referred to ourselves as coloured, it was a bit strange to know it's considered offensive in some places in the world but we revel in our identity as coloured,just in case others not from South Africa find it uncomfortable.

I think the jokes is more for a South African audience, so that was an Indian South African accent, but glad you guys are enjoying his content.

Great to see you reacting to this brilliant comedian. Many of us South Africans are extremely proud of him and how his career has turned out. What’s particularly interesting about him is that he has a very interesting background: a white European father and black African mother. He has lived and hustled in the streets of Soweto but can walk into any South African situation, speak the language and be at home. As his international profile grew, it became clear that he has a flair for languages and is an intelligent student of different cultures and his humor translates well into any set up. I don’t know anyone who begrudges him his success and I will always cheer for him and wish him the best. Thanks for posting your reaction to this most well known South African export.

Actually Indians in South Africa have their own Indian accent which he showed when he says " give me your damn money". That's Actually South African Indian accent.
Yes it is Indian but Durban Indian, as apposed to Johannesburg Indian accent or Cape Town Indian accent, there is a a difference

The show was in SA and that was very common jokes but for South Africans. Am happy that you are not offended by those jokes as our own Indians do not mind
I am from South Africa guys, and we are one of the most diverse countries in the world with 9 different ethnic groups (excluding around 2 dozen European groups) speaking 11 different languages. Thanks for your show, love it indeed...
He was speaking in Durban Indian accent, it is a South African thing.

The context here .,.. . South African Indians, coloureds n blacks. We are South African, we know the local accents. I suggest you really get familiar with Durban SA. Accent to really appreciate the comedy. There is no South Indian accent in this video The real India accent pronounciations ,....ve rr gotter Fi to me as a South African sounds bad.
The indian accent he was imitating was specific to Durban, South Africa. We have the largest indian population outside of India

The indian accent for "give me your money" is the South African Indian accent mostly from Durban.
Indian accents depend on the area the Indian people live in. That's exactly how people from Durban sound like. The accents from Pretoria and Cape Town are very different. These are cities in South Africa. You are right, most of the Indian Population in South Africa originate from South India. From Bengal and Kerala. Most of the older Indian people still have that South Indian accent.
Well,in one show he mentioned that his imitations of accents are of his friends,like when he tries to imitate Russian he imitates his Russian friend. If you get what I mean

In Namibia 🇳🇦 we have Indians as well & they own cellphone shops. If you don't have enough money, they'll usually ask you "How much do you have"? I like Indian shops. 😂

Who told Hollywood or other foreign cinema industries never hire any Indian villains??? One great example is : Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Where Amresh Puri was the main villain... And he nailed it ..🤷🤷🤷
Hindi movies have plenty of villains. Punjabi and Tamil movies also.

That accent belongs to durban indian community here in south africa.
