@@kaicastle. Honestly not sure if there is such a thing as all pigment-based but maybe there is? Maybe their other models! But I read that the colored dye based inks are Canon's "high longevity dye based inks" and the pigment is to print crisp black documents haha
The paper you use also determines how long the printed piece lasts -- you need both archival/long lasting ink and paper. There's a bit more info canon's dye based inks here! They call it chroma life www.usa.canon.com/explore/chromalife

@@Tiramaesu_ ahh so it’s as good as permanent non-fading? Coz dye ink tends to fade within a year..
