My mother used to make this. It's childhood comfort food. Being a guy, I foolishly never learned recipes from her. Now I regret it. My brother and I found her recipe for banana bread and make that on occasion. And she did give me some kitchen tips that I still use. But, for most recipes I have to depend on home cooks like yourself. Thanks.
Hi,Tammy. This recipe is the easiest way to fix Salisbury Steak I have seen! The usual method takes way more time,I like that the steaks cook in the oven. Then you're free to fix the yummy gravy and the sides.Glad you shared this with us!❤😊
❤❤❤ love your method on this super dish thank you very much easy to fallow your special addition super yummy.Thank you I will cook this on my family ........Godbless.
I'm making this tonight. I usually mix all of my ingredients, (eggs, Worcestershire, spices, etc.) then add ground beef. I feel it helps to make sure everything is mixed evenly. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Tammy put the wooden spatula in my cart and looking through your kitchen items. I love to shop with you! You have never lead me wrong on anything I buy . I tell my husband if Tammy has it or says it is great I believe! Love you girl! You are the best💕🙏🏻
Oh Tammy, i just love the way you made this salsbury steaks. I love onion soup mix cause it pairs perfectly with beef for this s/s and meatloaf and even with a beef roast or beef stew! Nothing better. Would love to have this meal right now with mashed potatoes and broccoli or asparagas or green peas. Yummy!❤️
Whenever I make this recipe, I will take sliced homemade bread that I lightly toast and serve it on top of the thick toasted homemade bread, it is divine !!!
I had a recipe for Salisbury Steak that had an extra ingredient not seen too much , a tablespoon or so of good horseradish...I lost the recipe but it was pretty darn good ... I'll be trying this recipe.
Looks good but I put my steaks in the gravy after they come out of oven and put it back in for the gravy to thicken with those steaks it’s always a hit , so many ways to do this dish and I haven’t tried a bad one yet 😊
This is the first time I noticed a little song at the end of your video. Cute touch. I will definitely try this recipe, the last time I cooked salisbury steak it was just ok. I think in all my years I've only made it twice and in a skillet. Last time I was craving it for some reason, maybe I was missing my grandfather, he would make it sometimes. That'll be several meals for me as I cook for 1.
Ok Tammy, onion soup mix is my go to seasoning for my meatballs, meatloaf, Salisbury steak. I have never seen anyone on TH-cam use onion soup mix and that is very disappointing to me. I cook like my momma taught me and she used onion soup mix for everything as it was always and is always the right amount of salt with a twist. I love onion soup mix mixed into a container of sour cream to make onion dip. I love your recipes honey.
Another favorite of my adult Sons. These will be so much better than the nasty ultra processed steaks at the grocery store. I bet these will freeze or can up pretty well too
loved how easy this is using the oven! usually add the steaks into the simmering gravy while I mash up the taters, and all stays piping hot! Anyone who wants a darker gravy - use either kitchen bouquet (caramel coloring) or a shot of soy sauce! Easy peasy. love ya and all the shows you do for us
Got my order for three of your cookbooks yesterday. It takes a lot for me to buy cookbooks as there are so many out there. Yours are hands down my favorite. Thank you for all you do !❤🙏🙏❤
Finally I can see your videos on my recommended videos. There’s another channel on TH-cam with the same name “collard valley cooks” that kept popping up on my feed.
I never knew Salisbury steak was made with ground beef sometimes until TH-cam. My mom always made it with cubed steak. If I was served this, and no one told me, I'd call it meatloaf. Which I also love.
So just after this comment, I saw a video of Swiss Steak. I might be mixing up my memories. Swiss steak is made with cubed steak. That said, I love them all, haha!
Yes Miss Tammy Such a delicious looking Salisbury steak!!!!! Actually I do not recall My mama ever making this. With My Mom meat was either fried to real dark and a homemade gravy with mashed potatoes or roasted till it was falling apart with really dark gravy and Mashed Potatoes.... garlic or onions never graced a meal of hers as Daddy would carry on and threaten to smash the dishes then he would go buy a hamburger at some diner and have french fried or sometimes mashed potatoes.... I am asking Miss Sharon to fix this dish real soon for our dinner or maybe for a Sunday dinner with some friends..... Thanks , Rick
If you ever want to variety this, Tammy, just switch to Campbell's Mushroom Soup for the gravy and a slice of Velveeta on top about 8 mins before the patties are done. You'll thank me later. :)
Tammy, you are the only cook on TH-cam that pronounces Worcestershire correctly! I was born in a Massachusetts city of Worcester, so I know how to pronounce it. 🙂 Good luck on your new adventure of finding a new house. I felt the same way when my son left for college.
Worcestershire Sauce is a British invention named after the town of Worcestershire in the county of Worcester in England. The "werstershur" is the correct pronunciation. Fun fact, a Shrek 3 location was modeled after the town not only for its looks, but because of the way people mispronounce the name.
@@desertdwarf Oh God,, how wrong can you get. It is an English concoction. Named after the town of Worcester in the shire of Worcestershire in England. Parts of England are known as counties and some parts are shires. Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Devonshire, and so on. If you refer to the mixture, it is simply, Wooster sauce!
Bless you dear! I love watching & following your channel ....I lost you here for awhile, & just now saw you! Yippie! 🎉 Honey, you just made my day! I cannot wait to try this. My family & I enjoy Salisbury Steak. Thank you! God bless you baby doll & your family! 🩷🤍🩷🙏🫶🫶
Finally thank you for a simple easy delicious recipe when I come home from work we want to enjoy a homemade cooked meal that doesn’t require a lot of ingredients., prep, or clean up you did it 🙌
Tammy I just made Salisbury Strak a few days ago with mushroom and onion gravy with mashed potatoes and sliced tomatoes ! So delicious , I don’t use the onion soup mix I just use my own spices!! Delicious meal !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻
I used to love the Lipton Beefy Mushroom soup mix. In meatloafs and Salisbury steaks it upped the beef flavor and made a nice gravy. They stopped making it years ago and i have been very disappointed since.
Your Salisbury Steak looks delicious! I’ve been saving up so I can buy some more of the Rada products on your website. I got the potato peeler. Love it! Thanks Tammy.❤
Haven't made this up in a long time. Think I'll put it on the menu for this week. Yours looks really delicious! Loved your outfit & your headband/scarf, you look really pretty. 💜🍽️ Thank you for sharing this with us.
This would not set well in my tummy. Looks really good. I can't eat onions or tomatoes anymore...and many other food. From my GERD to my IBS, not to mention having psoriasis (several kinds), my diet is very limited and I don't eat much...but I'm overweight for the first time in my life. Enjoy your youth and health! God bless everyone!
Great supper, Tammy! I've never made good Salisbury steak but this is the recipe I need. Thanks! Hope you and Chris have a good weekend. It's a bit chilly over here in Montgomery.
My Mom used kitchen bouquet for a brown color in gravy.
I go to yardsales and thrift stores and find the oldest cook books I can. The recipes are always so much better than modern recipes.
Mash potatoes would be Devine with this meal. This would make a wonder after church Sunday dinner ❤️🙏🏻😘🙏🏻❤️
Absolutely when I make it, I’m gonna make mashed potatoes and green beans to go with
@@Hugs4you500 and don’t forget the homemade biscuits…
It would be a whole lot better if you didn't go to church

Your right this is one of my favorite meals! Have a blessed weekend!❤
Excellent. Recipe is spot on. Does NOT need to be darker. 🌟

That gravy looks dangerously great!!
Salsbury steak must taste heavenly.
If you fry those steaks in a cast iron skillet until they are done, the drippings will give you the dark brown color
