How did you find using a random shoe polish brush on the first video before using the kit on the ball would you recommend or wait tell the kit comes in?
Thanks for sharing this video, I realize this is 2 years ago. My question now is about the brush... Would you recommend getting the Wilson Football Brush as the better brush to use for basic prep conditioning of a leather football.., or would the Kiwi Shoe Brush be good enough to use..? Thanks!
The conditioner is a must if you want the leather to be soft and supple but mudding the ball is not needed unless you want your ball to look like something you found in your grandpa's garage. Watch my video if you're looking for a cheap fast process to prepping a leather football
Hey I really hope you see this and respond but how did you get it to get so dark and to get so smooth I used the kit and couldn’t get it to look that smooth and round
That's literally all the mud does is make it look like something you found in your grandpa's garage I find it completely pointless because the ball is going to barking with you anyways
Oh hey bro I am blind and I have a NFL football and I’m also receiving my Wilson prep kit tomorrow when scrubbing the ball is the ball upwards or laying sideways and when you use the brush are you scrubbing up and down with the brush or are you scrubbing side by side with the brush
I was thinking about buying a gst game ball Is the break in kits absolutely necessary or can you break it in by just playing with it I don’t plan on playing any official type games just some back yard ball with some friends and wanted a nice ball
You don't need to get this but it is really useful I broke my in by playing on concrete but now want a ball for more official playing then just tossing it around.
You don't have to use a prep kit or prep the ball in any way they break in rather quickly with use but don't be like the other person who commented and use your ball on concrete you will ruin it
Coming from your older video, but can you score the ball with a wet towel first, then use the brush and tack? Or does there have to be a specific order, I’ve seen other guys use the wet towel with brush and tack. But I wanted to ask the best of the best💯
if i’ve used my wilson brush to do the initial break in (per your other video), would you recommend that i go through a process to get the wax off of it before using it with the tack bar?
A small nitpick from me but if you keep with the videos and stuff it feels a lot better paced if you dont use the same words as much. So instead of using quadrant everytime just say Panel at times.
After using Sir Matthew Choi's Ball Cleaning Method I have not dropped a single pass
Thank you my brother!!💯💯
Pitchers would love this for spin rate on the ball
How did you find using a random shoe polish brush on the first video before using the kit on the ball would you recommend or wait tell the kit comes in?
If you have time to wait for the kit then wait. But the shoe polish can work as well. It’s just an option

The Wilson brush is stiff. So if you get a shoe brush just make sure it is a stiff brush and you'll be good.
Can I use skateboard wax????
should i break in the football once?
what happens when i use tac bar often?
should i repeat that process over and over again?
Just once
Break it in once! And then start to use the football on turf and grass. If you need to re tack if you can but it will break in more as you use it
Can I use tack spray instead if a tack bar? Can i also use a shoe brush instead made out of horse hair?
Do I really need to wait 4 days or can I do it in one day, letting the ball dry first on video 1
So you do brush over the laces but not stripes?
Would this be a good idea to use to break in an nba basketball?
Can you please do a review on the Adidas Dime football.
I gotchu my guy!
So no conditioner? And does any conditioner work if so
I have a question. do you still use the warm water and towel and wipe it down before using the kit?
Yes you need to
Can i use this on a ball i already conditioned?
Watch the video I uploaded it's good for reconditioning an old ball or conditioning a new ball
Is it the same way to break it in for a rubber ball
how often shall I do this? thanks
Where does the conditioner and mud applications i see online fall for the process? Necessary? Or no? Thoughts…

I just got a Super Bowl commemorative football. Would it be ok to use this on it?
It would be okay to use on any football, it would be most effective on real leather balls
Will this work the same for the NFL ball
Are you that running guy i kept seeing in those short videos ?
Where did you buy this football online or I’m person ?
Coming from your first video should we still wet the ball with a towel or just use the brush and that’s it and the tack bar ?
If it’s new definitely clean off the oily film on the new balls with a wet towel
Hey I really hope you see this and respond but how did you get it to get so dark and to get so smooth I used the kit and couldn’t get it to look that smooth and round
you get the ball darker by using it and mud, so the more you use it the more it breaks down and get an older look 👍🏽
Hi, I used my not yet broken in football in the rain. If i do this method will it fix the football?
Sorta but I would break it in with shaving cream and leather conditioner
what’s the link for the exact football, i’m tired of mine, it feels so heavy and doesn’t even feel like any other football...btw great vid
Wilson Gst official size(14+)
Dude I have to buy a new ball because I left mine outside and it got water logged and I threw my arm out throwing with this heavy ahh ball 😂
I think you have composite ball
U da🐐
Where’d you buy that football?
Why do you avoid the white strips? Those are leather as well, shouldn't those be treated the same?
They are composite, so don't really benefit. Same with the laces.
I put it on the stripes and made it a little slippy why I don’t know but it is what it is
Could you use this process on a worn out ball also?
Watch the video I uploaded it's great for reconditioning an old ball or conditioning a new ball
I see videos where they use "mud" Lena Blackburne. Do you ever "mud" your footballs, or is that step only for color to get the ball dark brown ?
That's literally all the mud does is make it look like something you found in your grandpa's garage I find it completely pointless because the ball is going to barking with you anyways

@@CertifiedSigma. can I use skateboard wax
@@thegentlegiant4853ankle tape spray
What happens after you break into it how do you fix it
Start throwing the football around on the field!
can I use that on a composite ball
Nope
How long do you think that tack bar would last?
over a year
Way over a year!
@@MattChoi. how frequent should you use the tack bar? Thanks for this vid🙏🏽

Is it gonna works for a nba basketball too?
If it is leather the. Yes but I don’t se why you would need to
What’s football are you using?
Wilson GST Leather Game Ball
Does it have to be a Wilson football
No any football they say it is for leather but I tried it on a rubber ball a composite ball and a leather ball and it worked on all
@@Greysonszokoly ok thankyou

Appreciate you my guy! 💯
What if I don’t have that
You have it now

Thank you so much for the feedback. I defiantly noticed myself doing that in my day to day lol but I’ll keep that in mind! Thank you!
