Him: You re threatening me with an umbrella
Me:
Remembers the anime "Another" and their umbrella scene
guiness
“So are we gonna stand around here all day, or are we going to fight?”
-Galahad
Not threatening my good fellow, I'm kicking your collective behinds with an Umbrella.
No kidding, a well built umbrella is actually one of the best self-defence weapons you can have on you in public, same as a good solid walking stick.
1:19 That guy avoiding the flying teeth was channeling Neo
Proof: Harry Hart faster than the One.
Or the Flash 😂🤣
The VERY best Action Comedy scene ever filmed!!! ... I must've watched it over 50 times.
I think Colin Firth got mad because they called him granddaddy. He's not that old. He's not even old.
I'm pretty sure he got mad because they accused him of wanting a rentboy.
The way eggsy adjusts his posture when Harry comes back to take a seat.....
Harry: call an ambulanse, BUT NOT FOR ME!
"Manners maketh man"
Now that is a quote to live by
I LOVE the score of this film. The classic "james bond" style music when the fight starts, the way it perfectly accompanies the fight and don't even get me started on the camera work!
AND THE CHOREOGRAPHY!! BRILLIANT!!!!!
As a kid it was always so cool seeing 007 well dressed while completing the objective. So it's understandable why this scene works so well. Good stylized action with the "manners maketh man" lesson being learned. Even gentleman can teach you a lesson.
absolutely iconic scene
worth the price of admission just for this
I never get tired of this scene. The part where he collides the two guys heads... ouch, that's gotta' hurt. I imagine they would be waking up to a really bad headache.
0:41 "Now you's can't leave!" I will never forget the look on their faces. All six of them. Their faces dropped. All their courage and strength was drained right from their bodies. They knew that instant, they made a fatal mistake. This time, they walked into the wrong bar.
That is a plot device that has seen a lot of mileage. It certainly pre-dated "A Bronx Tale." (which was a brilliant film regardless!)
@@bobbyricigliano2799 love Bronx tale. Wish that young actor Lillo had better life choices though. He was really good in that movie. Chazz role was unforgettable too.
When you outnumber a guy 6 to 1 and he's the one who locks the doors, that's your que to get the fuck out of dodge by any means necessary.
"Before we get started, does anybody want to get out?"
Me: "Ah, hell! I forgot I needed to do my annual training. Excuse me, pardon me, excuse me . . . hey, lotsa luck, guys!"
*Who's here because of The King's Man (2021)?*
I'm so mad. There's no harry or eggsy
wait there's a new one soon?
@@anggazacky2770 there cant be harry or eggsy because its going to be a PREQUEL
@@victorherediafigueroa6613 then that's mean the king's man tells how beginning of the kingsman?
@@anggazacky2770 yes
One of the best fight scenes in a movie.
It"s like the fight Robert Duvall had in Second Hand Lions. He didn't want to kill them, but give them one hell of a lesson they would never forget.
Kingsman: Manners maketh man
John Wick: Kills 3 men with a pencil
The Equalizer: Kills 5 men in less than 20 seconds
I’m gonna live by that motto every time I play an assassin game.
“MANNERS. MAKETH. MAN.”
2:16 He stole the super detective Conan's watch!!!
Yeah, it’s just a reference.
Since both the show & movie got gadgets and Conan is well known, it’s only natural. lol
He destroyed all of them, and he didn’t even unbutton his coat. Nice. 😂
"manners maketh man"
*savagely wrecking whole pub*
Got to love how Eggsy goes from "you muppet" to "wait what?" and finally settles on "don't breathe Eggsy, you'll piss him off"
the best thing about kingsman is the camera moves with the fight
One off the best bar fight scenes ... ever
"Ou ooki anuver reboi they're ova unda fifstree." I had to listen to that more than a couple times to figure out what Patton Oswalt was saying here.
Also, if you get hit with a rubber bullet hard enough to make you do a double backflip, you are more than "stunned".
Looks like you still didn't do a great job of hearing "If you're looking for another rent boy, they're on the corner of smith street"
@@FFKonoko Thank you for the translation, I wasn't even going to try.
Tough to have that much momentum. Every action has an equal reaction. If a fired rubber bullet could make a person do a double backflip, the shooter would be thrown back across the room. Basic physics
"Manners... Maketh... The Man..."
Do you know what that means??
One of the great movie scenes of all time. (I couldn't imagine doing something like that in Jeans and a t-shirt,,, much less a custom suit!)
Why didn't anyone mention the great camerawork on this one? It really makes the scene and enhances the punches etc.
This is why I trained with the umbrella as my tool of choice.
This is actually a legit thing, from Victorian England, called Bartitsu 🤓🧐
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartitsu
@@David_Rafuse I mean, I use it the same way one might use a bearded axe, but eh.
"What are you??"
"I'm British, Sir"
I like how Harry didn't actually use any fatal moves or weapons and got all the thugs to fight each other by redirecting their hits and even when he was shot at with real bullets he still chose to no kill he instead decided to stun this is a real man
It"s like the fight Robert Duvall had in Second Hand Lions. He didn't want to kill them, but give them one hell of a lesson they would never forget.
imagine what wouldve happened if the thug didnt say anything at the end and Harry just walked out of the bar
Dominic Edk - Then Eggsy would handle it like a Man.
I think he was always going to lock the doors and come back.
Not a hit
As a general rule of thumb if a single person picks a fight with a gang and looks almost board while doing it you should start running.
No scene could be more satisfying than
"Teaching a lesson to bunch of bullies"
Colin Firth can get into the character just like a jacket, watched King's speech both Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth competing with each other to show that Oscar deserves them and that their acting can't be put on a golden bust & be awarded or applauded. Some are born to make history like the man in this movie.
Dude the kingsman fight scenes are some of the best looking and best choreographed in movie history
Every time I watch this scene I can’t help but smile when he locks the doors
Everytime I watch this scene I hear...
"this musn't register on an emotional level"
"Stun" with enough force to make the man spin 360° verticalll in the air before landing... Mate, how is he alive?
Stun means Incapacitate... Thats pretty much what he is now...
That Guinness for strength, such a small detail but perfect advert and expression for this scene alone!
Can watch this a 1000 times...
really love the way colin firth speaks :
"I'd appreciate it enormously, if you could just leave us in peace until i finish this lovely pint of Guiness"
don't go bothering a gentleman like that bruh, you never know what kind of asskicking the man can dish out
Haha. I’m that gentleman...
Gotta wonder what the publican was about to say to the police? "Hello police, a man in a suit just defeated six people singlehandedly and none of them were even able to land a hit even though one of them had a gun."
I remember I just stumbled upon this movie not knowing at all about it. It was the most entertaining movie I watched in a while and it took me by surprise
One of the best introductions of a newcomer to a new world ever, isn’t it?
Mary Poppins: "I need that umbrella..."
I always loved the camera work in the Kingsman movies especially the action scenes.
Colin Firth fighting Hugh Grant in Bridget Jones Diary and this scene are two of my favorite fight scenes.
Especially with how different they are. Here, a God among ants. In Bridget Jones, do you even know how to fight?
@@CortexNewsService exactly 😂
Yo props to the guy in the grey hoodie.
He got stabbed in the chest with a knife, didn't even say "ow", and then kept on fighting.
I remember watching this in the theater and being absolutely blown away by this scene and was in such a good mood for the rest of the film
I love this scene. It never gets old!❤
