Hello Bhia, I am from Bangladesh. BBA, MBA completed and CMA is part qualified from ICMAB. Now I am planning to move canada, Capilano University for Post Baccalaureate Deploma. If I do so, then whether I will be eligible for International Credential Recognition for CPA Canada.

So how are the remaining exams taken? I think that was more important than repeating the talk about the assessment of academic transcripts like 5 times. I heard the same sentence over and over. You said that ACCA members get the maximum exemption. It would have been more helpful if you mentioned the remaining exams that ACCA members are required to take and what is the procedure for taking those exams. Can one take those exams online and what is the fee and schedule for those exams?
That is based on CPA Canada on how they will evaluate your past qualifications through your transcripts.
You will still have to enroll for CPA Canada modules depending on how far you were in your ACCA program.
Furthermore, you cannot enrol with CPA if you’re not a resident of Canada. Resident of Canada means that you have to have a study permit or permanent residence or Canadian citizenship. Plus, you have to be in Canada because exams are taken on site now.

What’s the estimated timeline?
Most useless 10 minutes of utter confusion & running circles around MRA. Fact of the matter is, there’s no possibility of converting ACCA to CPA without challenging Core 1, Core 2 & CFE
Really confused why Canada is assessing transcript when ACCA is much more harder to pass. The level which ACCA examined students are far more in depth and technical.
I think you are mistaken. Have you checked CPA Canada’s modules, course outlines and what technical topics they cover?
Technical wise they are both almost equal. But passing wise CPA is far tougher to pass. Only 2% or less Canadians are CPA.
Please do your research properly before making a judgement.
@@osamajavaid4805 ACCA has 241000 members in the uk over a population of 68 million. Do your maths and calculate the %. ACCA is the fastest growing qualification and not CPA, which is restricted to Canada only! If you are thinking about % pass, then you should keep in mind that the % reflect pass rate in 148 counties and not like cpa which covers Canada only.
@@aftaabtupsy5425 The passing rate is high because more people are writing around the globe and more attempts are done annually whereas CPA attempts are limited annually as well as restricted to Canadians only.
Even if ACCA is recognized globally. Besides UK or middle east you will still have to get that country’s local body CA designation. North American market doesn’t even consider ACCA. I don’t know which world are you living in but besides UK majority of country you will have to go through MOU or MRA to convert your ACCA into that local’s body designation so your ACCA will mean nothing there.
Like I said please do your research properly. And please look at CPA Canada’s technical topic and see what their depth and breadth coverage is before making judgements. They are both chartered accountancy bodies and their materials are similar.
@@aftaabtupsy5425 also do your math. I don’t know where you got that number from but ACCA global members are around 241,000 which is almost around same members (220,000) in Canada only lol. This shows that only Canada is sufficient enough to equal ACCA members globally. This is the reason why we CPA Canada has more MOU and MRA around the globe.
The reason ACCA is around 148 countries whatever that number is because most of the countries don’t have their local Chartered Accountancy bodies which is why they only ACCA or CA which in this case is CPA. The countries which have their own chartered accountancy bodies besides UK or any other European countries will want their members to convert their ACCA.
ACCA members can’t even sign off on audit or start their own practice this is the reason why people convert their ACCA to local Chartered Accountancy bodies.
Please do your research on that too.
@@osamajavaid4805 oh! So you mean 220000 members locally is much more worthy than 241000 members globally? You have a mix of skills and approach on a global scale man! If cpa was on a global scale, i bet the number of cpa would have been more!
