@@euansmith3699 They had female models in the halfling kits too. Seems to be something we can expect from Mantic going forward. Not the new orcs though. 🤔
On their store page, the Ogre minis do look great. Not sure I feel about the "dogs" (?) pulling their chariots though. But I like how they look "strong", as opposed to just "fat" like GW's ogres (older ones anyway).
@@colinmack8655 - While I like the lore aspect, the models themselves look a bit overly cartoonish and do not seem to match the aesthetic of the ogres themselves.
@@andrewbakescakes9684 true but they match the goblin aesthetic so it is a compromise the goblins make and use chariots, the orcs enslave them and take them to use. The ogres barter and take the red goblins under there protection that is what I like about them the shared world.
I’ve always really like the plague in dead zone. The new models for that look absolutely fantastic, love seeing more mantic in games in plastic as my first box from them years ago wasn’t great to put together
Mantic Ogres were my first KoW army (which is 100% because I loved your batreps with team ogres and gigante). They served me well and I was toying with the idea of fixing their paintjobs, but now ... I might have to rebuild the army with these new kits, they look awesome.
I have been clinging to the "Fat Mongolian" aesthetic of the GW Ogres forever now, just because I was not going to go Restic. I hate the stuff. But man, I might convert over, now! With all the unit options, and with mixed males and females, you also have a nice one-purchase option to make a really nice mixed-arms Skirmish force of rampaging ogres from one of these sets!
Only mantic kit i have is their skeletons which honestly i like allot as they are uniform. if you raise a bunch of dudes from a battlefield they are probably going to be mostly wearing the same sort of stuff.
The other plastic is real plastic too it's just not Styrene. So i mean yeah there is that. The PVC would only tear if the knife was not super sharp you just had to be careful with it and then take your time a little heat on the model would help with that too. I love Kings of War and mantic games will we see you do some Ambush from the new rule book or will you do Deadzone new edition or Firefight second edition at some point?
As nice as they are, I think the Wargames Atlantic Landsknecht Ogres just have a more interesting take on Ogres. Both kits seem to come with the same weapon options.
Mantic don't make any plastic models at Nottingham HQ, just the metal and resin ones. This is the first HIPS made in Poland by a miniatures manufacturer instead of random injection-molded plastic factory in China. You can see the difference. I think the Archon factory have been doing production for a number of other companies.
Mantic Games = Blessed Gaming Company that gave me tons of extras to supplement my warhammer armies! Love it!
Those ogres are perfect to youse as mutants for my chaos armies
One sprue is actually ogre females! So one box allows you to build 3 male and 3 female ogres. Took me some time to notice :)
Orges: the Equal Opportunity Horde.
Nice! There are way too few female monsters

@@erasmusburger2132 i would say this might depend on what they release. Females works for hobbits and ogres.

Mawbeasts rock they are usesd by the Goblins who the Ogres steal the chariots off of

I liked my goofy models, but happy for anything that gives Mantic some success. They deserve it.
yay! Mantic minis are my fav right now, love the new orcs. I was thinking purchasing an ogre army... What a great timing!. Keep it out Ash!
Awesome plastics!
Wonder if Mantic uses the same factory for plastic in Poland, as Para Bellums Conquest?
When we will see New KoW battle reports?? Miss them so much!

I am looking forward to getting the new two player set. These ogres look so much fun to build, my 6th KoW army.......
Mantic continuing to knock it out of the park
Interesting fact, it's the same printing company in Poland that produced the Gf9 Alien miniatures.
Nice - I have a soft spot for Ogres, I'll no doubt pick these up as well as the new plastic ones from Wargames Atlantic at some point in the future.

Love mantic. Got a 5000 point enforcer army and a whole bunch of kow stuff. Can't get enough of it.
Super awesome. Thanks Ash
They finally started doing more leg days!
The ogres look way better now. I remember when they first came out, their legs looked so thin on them back then.
They remind me of Uruk-Hai
Will you reveal the Empire of Dust from the starter as well? Really curious about those.

Hi I'm switching over from gw to mantic and I was wondering if these ogres would match in with my aos ogres in height and build.
Very different build - the Mantic ogres look tough and muscled.

These will go well for my 1995 WH Quest game......

hey when we going to see some New Mordheim vids
Oh my god they're so good!
So happy they are moving away from restic, I hate it. Great priced miniatures from a company with some great rulesets too.
Awesome
I gotta get me some ogres!
Are these made by Archon Studios on behalf of Mantic Games?
That was my guess too, as soon as Ash said they are made in Poland

Do you have to have 3 females or can you make all 6 male
You didn't even notice you got a sprue of boy ogres and a sprue of girl ogres XD
Mantic are booming as that other games company continues to piss off its customer base. Go Mantic.
They look great! I prefer the design compared to the GW ogres.
